Election in November or not?

As the 2008 campaign endlessly grinds on I’m receiving more comments here and there (‘there’ being Stars Over Washington) that the US may not be having elections this November, the lastest from one of my favorite people,  Jilly.

And I’ve written on the possibility myself – October Surpise, false flag op, martial law – whatever it takes for Bush to stay in the White House (a horrid horrid thought, isn’t it?) if they think McCain can’t win; so when readers with intuitive abilities tell me that the Nov elections may be called off or disrupted beyond repair, it makes me think yet again that what has been worked toward for so long and at such price and effort will not be easily surrendered to the ‘other team’ – if at all.

If that’s the case, it’s too bad that America and the needs of the American people get lost in their egoistic, power-mad shuffle.

Today I’ve been looking at the Secondary Progressed midpoints (and charts) for the Democratic Party (born May 13, 1792 NS; 12:00 pm LMT; Philadelphia, PA) and the Republican Party (born July 6, 1854 NS; 5:00 pm LMT; Jackson, MI.)

Since tonight marks the last of the three presidential debates, I’m comparing today’s Seconday midpoints with those of Nov 4, 2008 and for Jan 20, 2009, and the only difference is in the Dem’s chart…the diffcult Saturn/Pluto duo rises by Nov 4…

Saturn/Pluto = ASC: placed in cumbersome and difficult circumstances; separation; bereavement.

Also the Saturn-Pluto midpoint in the Republican Party’s Progressions is conj Sec NN and will continue to be for some time: common suffering shared with others; the misery of the masses.

Now there are many more good indcations than the one negative one for both parties. The Dems’ Sec Sun is conj Sec Mc, for instance. But I looked for what changed between now and Jan20, 2009.

And it’s no weakness or lack in Astrology for Astrology describes the many levels of life we all contend with – good mixed with bad. Plus, motives always matter and sometimes things come seemingly from out of nowhere – at least we are unconscious of them until they actually occur, then it’s a Doh! Moment a la Homer Simpson, isn’t it? “Who saw that coming?” we ask incredulously.

Well, since I’m “under the weather” today and feeling somewhat puny, I’ll simply close with the current Secondary ‘Images for Integration’ for each party.  You might get a kick out of them – or perhaps a chill:

On Election Fraud in November 2008

Demonstrating admirable patience and care, Terry Lamb has published an article at Astro-Pol explaining the difference between voter fraud and election fraud.

The first is rare, the second is a distinct possibility for our elections on November 4, 2008 especially with the Saturn-Uranus opposition becoming exact on Election Day:

The Saturn-Uranus opposition is the ‘Full Moon’-culminating phase of things begun at their last conjunction/s which occurred all through 1988 and thus similar issues will surface from that time – or come to fruition.

Here again are the dates and degrees of their triple conjunctions, all in 1988 with the second conj being the Rx one, of course:

February 13: 29Sag55; June 26: 28Sag47; and Oct 18: 27Sag49.

As you see, this is the part of the zodiac where power-behind-the-throne Pluto has reverted for a final hurrah so we may wish to consider the midpoint picture created by these three planets which form a link between 2008 and 1988 with Pluto stimulating the 27 – 30 degree area of Sagittarius:

Saturn-Uranus = Pluto: the desire to overcome a difficult situation through extraordinary efforts;  rebellion against one’s lot in life; violence; ruthlessness; upheaval to protect assets; tremendous fear of loss.

This picture all by its lonesome sounds like the 2008 campaign, doesn’t it? And let’s hope upheavals don’t drag out election results and that ‘upheaval to protect assets’ doesn’t describe Bush creating a justification for declaring himself commander-in-chief in perpetuity!

Palin: is all exposure good exposure?

I keep seeing her first name with an ‘h’ and without…is this more of Neptune’s work of uncertainty and doubt?

Is Sara Palin a fraud?

Now that the latest McCain ad is out, the lies of and about Sara Palin (she said, No Thanks to the Bridge to Nowhere, etc, etc) are on record and being disputed by mainstream media.

On this blog you may have seen a post or two on the natal chart of Sara Palin and a thread of comments concerning Neptune’s transit to Palin’s natal Sun and Mars in Aquarius. And although the veiling effect of Neptune to Sun makes it difficult to see her clearly while it glamorizes her image, the word ‘fraud’ is now being used concerning the McCain campaign’s claims about Palin’s actions and motives. Fraud is another of Neptune’s words.

That a glowing picture (Neptune) has been painted of her essence and purpose (Sun) is a given and you don’t have to speak astrologese to witness it – any media outlet these last two weeks or so has told you repeatedly what a great and conservative gal she is – and ‘hot,’ too.

But astrologically, as Neptune lumbers on toward Palin’s Mars (action; energy principle) I stand by my previous doubts that this lady will be what America thinks she is. That her actions will continue to be veiled in confusion, doubt, and even – fraud – may be born out in the coming months.

Dissatisfaction is another possibility either on her part or on the part of others as Neptune approaches her natal Mars. Some of the dissatisfaction may be on the part of a male (Mars) and the fraud could be against her as well as coming from her. Also the Neptune-to-Mars transit interferes with physical energy as well as causing a lot of misunderstandings in relationships (including marriage.)

Deception or confusion can undermine efforts even though some actions may be inspired, for Neptune usually brings elements of inspiration and intuition along – which may or may not be correct. Receiving recognition for these efforts may be another story. And actions taken during this transit may not have the long-lasting effects as expected.

With the Neptune to Sun transit going on for Palin now, illusions are encouraging fanciful ideas about her and fantacism is at hand. Her personal integrity is under fire along with her leadership style, and we’re seeing what may be primarily a Neptunian preacher before us.

Without separation of church and state, America won’t be America anymore and blurring (Neptune) this line is not the good idea some folk seem to think it is. 

So with America at risk in this difficult time, my concern is for my country and its new leadership so if there is any shaking out of the truth to be done concerning this candidate, my hope is that the mainstream media will do the job which has always been expected of it – to get to the bottom of the truth about Sara Palin and others who wish to lead our nation and stop dazzling the masses with Neptune’s rosy glow around Gov. Palin’s halo.

An American’s view from Paris: McCain’s speech

Tara Bradford, who writes from Paris, France on her blog, Paris Parfait, has summed up many of my own feelings about John McCain’s speech last evening, and you may wish to read/comment here:

You know I tried not to think of hitler’s youth with the chanting and flag furling but it was difficult, very difficult – only a heil was missing in last night’s hero worshipping exercise. And the GOP’s determination to shove it down the public’s throat was painfully obvious, too – as Tara points out, no actual solutions to our problems were mentioned.

It’s as if a percentage of Americans can still be swayed and bamboozled by the old nationalist propaganda without looking beyond the surface of the slogans, code words, emblems, and symbols of what we like to THINK America is…or once was.

Mass hynosis? Trance-like states? Bush used the same personality cult ploy which couldn’t have been more obvious last evening than if Karl Rove’s snout had been spied peeking out from behind the curtain.

And, as we would expect, McCain played the terror card, too, lest we forget the ‘official’ line about the attacks of 9/11.

November approaches and the rig is on the way!

McCain’s Sagittarian Jupiter

Having the planet Jupiter (expansion; ideals; gambling; pushing one’s luck; faith; universal consciousness; nobility; where one perceives the unmanifest) in its own sign exalts and strengthens the jolly planet of increase.

Natally, John McCain (Aug 29, 1936) has Jupiter in the 2nd house of Earning Ability and Values (Taurus’ natural house) yet near the 3rd house cusp (17Sag28) so we may expect Jupiter’s expansive qualities to affect 3rd house Communications; Short Trips; the Lower Mind since Jupiter rules 3rd house.

So Jupiter exalted – nice, but Jupiter opposite his natural house (9th) may be part of McCain’s inability to express his own religious beliefs. Shaman Chiron (the wound; the blindspot) is in 9th house of the Higher Mind.

Jupiter is involved in some aspects of interest as well as being the focal or apex planet in a T-square:

Jupiter opposite Chiron: ‘the wizard’; intense resonance with multi-dimensional realities; occult perception that understands the essence of matter and the physical laws of the universe; a laser beam mind. (‘Chiron,’ Hand Clow.)

T-square:

Saturn-Neptune = Jupiter: very upset with the ways of the world; easily upset or depressed; narrow-mindedness; sensitivity; egoism; possible liver disease (Tyl; Ebertin.)

In his excellent book, ‘Dynamics of Aspect Analysis’, Bil Tierney gives apex Jupiter in a T-SQ as one who is in search for life’s higher meaning and who is encouraged to learn tolerance, acceptance, and charitability if he is to develop a personal belief system that does not have to be defended from social attack.

This is part of his constant apology stance which began with the Keating Five affair – McCain was the senator who spilled the beans and apologized all over the place for his ‘misjudgment.’

Apex Jupiter in a MUTABLE T-square indicates one who restlessly flits from ideals, philosophy, or theory and who is a ‘guru-chaser’; the urge is for instant wisdom or speedy enlightenment; a central problem is a desire to aquire special privileges and benefits without exerting much effort to merit them (perfect for Politics!); commitment to ideologies may be diffcult to sustain over an extended period of time; a ‘roving’ spirit that seeks variety; partnership conflicts may be triggered by indecisiveness and irresponsibility – conflicts then tend to be ignored, side-tracked, or ‘wished away.’

So the vacillation of the Mutable quality is amplied here by Jupiter. But if used constructively, this apex Jupiter can indicate an exceptional teacher, intelligent administrator, and one who acts as an enlightened political spokesperson for the populace.

For McCain’s misjudgment issues, let’s look at his Jupiter square Saturn and Jupiter square Neptune…

Jup SQ Saturn (in Pisces – a karmic planet in a karmic sign – regret over past mistakes): may exercise faulty judgment esp in relation to finances and business affairs which cause problems in the profession; humility; resistance encountered from superiors and may endure indignities for the sake of job security; early lack of confidence from the father; no easy road to victory; bittersweet destiny; may over-promise or sign contracts beyond limits of abilities; inner conflicts within one’s moral outlook – principle vs expediency.

Jup SQ Neptune: the ‘builds castles in the air’ aspect; very creative but needs self-discipline to use effectively; over-extends self; clouded vision, lines of reason distorted; open to deception; can be ‘the fall guy’ when rules are broken esp when dealing with classified info; unconsciously reveals secrets when speaking; religious or occult discussions should be avoided due to temperamental inability to defend positions; over-indulgence causes problems; prone toward romantic escapades; wooliness and gullibility when dealing with harsh realities; dream world leads to rude awakening.

Mars trine Jupiter: physical resources well-integrated (this helps him now with physical pains which would have keeled over most other guys by now); very energetic; talent plus luck; an honorable temperament; ‘easy come easy go’ attittude may cause carelessness in money issues; political talent; an optimist; an opportunist.

Alan Oken gives this trine as: ‘The True Believer’ and says it confers a practical interest in religious and philosophical matters. (If so, McCain ain’t sayin’ much about it.)

With Mercury in head-strong Aries, the senator announced his presidential candidacy on Feb 28, 2007 – on the David Letterman Show – in the midst of his last Jupiter Return which was a three-fer all through 2007: Feb 7; June 4; Oct 6.

So what does *Jupiter in fiery Sag confer?

In its own sign, Jupiter may express his essential nature most purely although he is still modifed by aspects, house placements, etc, as mentioned above. Lack of a strong Saturn increases these tendencies…I say this because Saturn is problematic in Watery Pisces.

Yet Saturn in Pisces = ‘stillness of spirit’ and supports McCain’s mystical interests.

Jup in Sag people are the positive thinkers of the world, the visionaries and dreamers (ex: Dale Carnegie, John Templeton; William Blake; Vincent van Gogh; Phil Donahue; Hillary Clinton.) Since Jupiter tends to feed upon himself, the expansive tendencies are even more prominent when placed in Sagittarius, sign of The Seeker.

Cautions would be arrogance and hypocrisy – but these are two traits Politics would be lost without.

Is America in for another political ‘bubble world’? White House occupancy creates them anyway as does Capitol Hill – for distant realms are the natural habitat for this idealistic Jupiter. At its best, there are tolerance and broad-mindedness, but there is a reliance upon self-justification (the afore-mentioned ‘apology tactic’ successfully employed with the Keating Five scandal and also concerning his MLK Day apology…apologizing is an integral part of his strategy.)

Possessing a noble character, a high moral tone may be adopted when disapproving of others. The Good News: there is profound power for taking positive actions.

However John McCain expresses his exalted Jupiter we know that the dynamics in his natal chart – in his psyche – are greatly enhanced and increased by his Sagittarian Jupiter.

But exactly what far-reaching Quest the man is on and how it will affect the American people – those are the real questions concerning Jupiterian candidate John McCain.

Palin and Alaska’s violet domes

Sky watchers across the USA and Europe are reporting unusually colorful sunsets and sunrises. The cause appears to be the August 7th eruption of the Kasatochi volcano in Alaska’s Aleutian islands. The volcano hurled a massive cloud of ash and sulfur dioxide into the stratosphere; high winds have since carried the aerosols over parts of the USA and Europe. “Violet domes,” long pink rays crossing the sky, campfire-red aureoles around Venus–these are just a few of the sights documented on Spaceweather.com in recent days.

When the sun goes down tonight, look west. You may be in for a treat.

~:~ Cloudy ash, sulphur dioxide, violet domes and volcanic sunsets…Sara Palin isn’t all that Alaska is belching out these days – and framing planet Venus, too, like a camera-ready photo-op, she typed poetically.

So with the previously discussed transit of cloudy, veiling, ashy, diffusing Neptune to Palin’s natal Sun and Mars, her sparkliness may be dimmed awhile, as least for tomorrow’s opening of the Convention.

~UPDATE Sept 1: reading now of Palin’s ‘slo-mo meltdown’  on the web because of the question that she wasn’t well-vetted due to cloudy family and other blogospheric topics…and ‘slo-mo meltdowns’ are exactly what glamorous yet dissolving Neptune does so well.~

Is the eruption of Alaska’s Kasatochi volcano a herald for a Palin candidacy and possibly for a susequent presidency? High winds blow and the Alaskan governor’s name was announced only two days after first reports of volcanic sunsets!

Reminds me of Chavez at the UN ‘smelling sulphur’ after Bush had been at the podium: “the devil was here!” he theatrically insisted (while giving a shout-out to himself, I might add) because Hugo certainly doesn’t smell like a rose himself. Ah yes! A rose…Venus’ flower. ~:~

~:~ 5:20 pm edt: will John McCain appear tomorrow to accept the R nomination?

Gustav, now directly threatening the Gulf Coast by Monday evening, may keep him away from the sparse throng expected in Minneapolis, and NPR is reporting that headline speakers (Bush-Cheney, as you know, with Katrina drippage round their Caesar’s brows), the Roll Call vote, and basically much of the opening ceremonies and to-dos are being postponed by the RNC. Hmm. They’ve paired down to basics.

This casts into high relief the skies parting last week for Barack Obama in Denver, as each night’s program began with Uranus, the sky god and lightening bolt, on best behavior. And ‘Mile High City’ describes Uranus to a T, with change, the unusual, and the unexpected the motif.

But now it’s the GOP’s turn, and it seems massive Hurricane trumps Alaskan volcano even for the move-mountain party of the Republicans who still quake from the dredging they rightfully deserved for the Bush administration’s wimpy Katrina non-response and their oh-so-obvious lack of concern for their fellow man which was broadcast round the world in August/Sept, 2005.

This relates to Saturn’s transit to George Bush’s natal Ascendant just around that time when Saturn’s lessons of responsibility and accountability could have been demonstrated and checked off his cosmic time card.

As you know, Dubya did not heed Saturn’s clarion call, and that marked the more extreme lowering of Bush’s approval rating which has been in the doldrums ever since. And what was Bush doing as Katrina roared and decimated our nation?

Cutting cake, birthday cake, with a similarly unconcerned John McCain. Thus a public relations dilemma for the R Convention. Perhaps it’s their turn to cry because of natural disasters. And it remains to be seen when the ash clouds part whether Sara Palin will keep her rosy glow and go the distance for McCain’s benefit.

Ron Paul is said to be throwing a rally, too, an event which media-wise may take some of the high winds out of McCain’s momentum’d sails, winds which may be only the high winds blowing in from Alaska and swirling about Gov. *Sara Palin.

~:~ checking the listings for personal name asteroids and their heliocentric nodes, there is a ‘Sara’ in the 00Tau – 1 Tau range. This is known as “Hitler’s Trigger” degree area because it is the position of his natal Sun. No, I’m not saying she’s Hitler-esque. It’s just interesting, that’s all, and can often be a violence indicator…you know – like a vocanic temper?

There’s a difference between Palin and Dan Quayle

Well, it’s been hours now, and McCain’s pick of Alaska Governor Sara Palin on Friday is apparently no joke after all.

Robert J. Elisberg has written an insightful article on Sara Palin’s qualifications for national office and on John McCain’s choice of ‘The Worst Vice-Presidential Nominee in U.S. History’:

As Elisberg notes, Dan Quayle was a sitting senator when tapped. And Gov. Palin voted against polar bears and supports oil drilling in ANWR.

But fascinating as Sara Palin as VP may seem, there’s one thing I’ve always noted to myself (since nothing in politics happens by accident):

when they divert all eyes toward one direction, we should pay more attention to where they’re NOT pointing. For that may just be where the real shell game is being played.
