Spain’s Metropol Parasol structure a knock-out!

Having just been bowled over by the 6-photo slideshow of Seville, Spain’s new Metropol Parasol, I want to be certain you’ve snagged a peek at the new and creative architectural marvel, if you haven’t.

Since its completion in April 2011, we now know where to find the ‘world’s largest wooden urban structure’ and it is a show-stopping beauty of a sculptured building of cross-hatched wood over steel in the most graceful of forms. And the Parasol has practical uses for city dwellers and tourists of Seville as Uranian genius pours into Saturnian form!

Plato’s Ideal? Seems very close to me but really you should decide for yourself.

Experientially, it looks like walking underneath a giant wooden mushroom! (As if I actually know what such a thing would look like. Well, now I do.)

And please don’t be dissuaded from taking a peek at the photos by the fact that ‘parasol’, ‘rain’, and ‘rain man’ are related symbols of the sort of largess that tends to come with too many strings attached.

No, let’s not go there.

But do let us run away to Seville to bask under the Metropol Parasol!

Indiana judge overturns spirit of the Magna Carta

As you know, the Magna Carta of 1215 has a long and glorious past and has gone through some changes and improvements during its history.

So one might think that since it had worked so well for so long, perhaps a US judge would retain a little respect for its protections against high-handed strong-arming of citizens.

Just in from my hometown newspaper The Banner-Herald comes an update on the two nuclear reactors still on track for construction in the southeastern state of Georgia in spite of the horrid Meltdown in Japan.

Yes, there are differences between power plant designs and the chance of a tsunami claiming one of the nuclear reactors in Georgia is slim to none. But there’s more to consider, if you care to read. The article includes a brief overview of how things stand in the US which may interest a wider audience.

Personally, I don’t like being reminded of the myth of Atlantis which (in one version of the tale) sank due to abuse/misuse of power. The asteroid Atlantis in Mundane Astrology has keywords: ‘abuse/misuse of power; where we feel doomed.’

If this turns out to be the case, I’ll blame the usual cast of wormy characters along with nuclear and other scientists and their institutions, laboratories, and related universities. The IAEA is also suspect in my book – can’t help it.

Uranus to Aries Point, the current Solar Eclipse degree 13Cap38 (January 4, 2011) conjoining fixed star Manubrium (a flaring heat), midpoint picture Saturn/Uranus = Pluto: harm through force majeure, Jupiter opposite Saturn, Saturn quindecile Uranus, and other difficult planetary energies and patterns now active in Earth’s atmosphere and the historical timeline are proving too hot for would-be rescuers to handle and too debilitating to Life on Earth for me to keep out of prayer for very long and I must move on mentally and emotionally to a different topic for a while, y’know?

Spring Equinox 2011 (aka, Aries Ingress, or Spring Ingress – basically when Tropical Sun reaches 00Aries00:00, the Aries Point of World Manifestation. 00Lib00:00 and 00Can00:00/Cap are the other three points on the Physical Plane – Grand Cross of earthly existence, and signified by the number 4.

Now I don’t know about you, but I could do with less world manifestation at the moment, agreed? If only the world could have a few moments to catch up. Perhaps a return of Uranian electricity to the power plants will bring solutions for Japan.)

Much of my posting these days has been on my Political Astrology blog, Stars Over Washington, yet I want to mention here the predictive eclipse work of expert astrologer Celeste Teal (Moon Valley Astrologer) within the context of the amazing 18-Day Revolution in Egypt which has, a few hours ago, forced the step down of dictator and President Hosni Mubarak.

First my happy congratulations to the good people of Egypt! May the processes now set in motion result in your independence from despotic rulership and may well-deserved social justice finally be yours.

Celeste Teal’s predictions are found in her book Eclipses: Predicting World Events & Personal Transformation and I must say, the book lives up to its title.

January 4, 2011 brought the world a Solar Eclipse @ 13Cap39 (in 2nd house when set for Washington DC at a crisis–critical degree; 13 North Series); she titles the eclipse: “The Balance of Power”!

(For doubters of Astrology I add that her book was published in 2006.)

Quoting in part from Ms. Teal’s analysis of the Jan 4, 2011 Solar Eclipse in Capricorn, sign of government (authority), law, and business:

“…potential for a central event having wide-range impact; eclipse in degree of Fixed Star Manubrium = flaring heat. A turbulent spirit against those in high places. For USA, eclipse falls over the Sun: US adminstration and government crucially linked to larger world affairs. There is potentially powerful opposition to overcome. For the US, eclipse in 2nd H of earning power and expenditures: obstacles, legislative delays; trade (Suez Canal? jc) and labor restricted. History is occurring before our very eyes as Egypt throws off her oppressive shackles and the Egyptian military takes over the reigns of power at least until elections in September 2011. Jubilance and celebration have overtaken this ancient land!

The implications are mulitple and unknown at this early juncture yet setting aside the corporate interests of the West for a moment, the interests of the people of Egypt must be lifted above all other considerations today in honor of a grand and astounding accomplishment.

Power to the People!

Now if we can just get back some of that People Power in plutocrat-ruled America.

Will Mubarak run to Germany for better treatment?

Der Spiegel reports that Egypt’s President Hosni Mubarak may soon retreat to a clinic in Germany’s Black Forest for “medical treatment”.

He must be fairly wumped out by now.

Yes, Mubarak has visited Germany before but considering his people’s call for his ouster NOW, this particular trip may plunk the German government into something of a political dilemma, ya?

Double Blast from the Sun, Pillars of Light, and Crisis in Egypt

The following post is a two-fer because I’m wondering if the Sun’s massive eruptions now are reflected in the violent riots going on this week in Egypt:

STRANGE LIGHT PILLARS: A photographer has recorded extraordinary pillars of light shooting into the night sky from a corn mill in Nebraska. The tall luminous columns were capped with nested V-shaped tops that distinguish them from ordinary urban light pillars.

Now published: today’s Stars Over Washington post concerning the riots and protests in Egypt this week and displaying both natal horoscopes – the Kingdom of Egypt (1922) and the Republic of Egypt (1953) – along with the country’s Secondary Progressions for January 26, 2011 which show a planetary pattern called a YOD (‘Finger of God’) indicating crisis and a turning point.

The energy of the YOD – as timed for Jan 2011 – is aimed directly toward the Progressed Moon (the fed-up people of Egypt) in Capricorn, sign of government, law, and business.

A Royal Wedding Day Astrology Report: Prince William and Kate!

With April 29, 2011 the date of Prince William’s and Kate Middleton’s wedding day, I have published as a Page in this blog’s sidebar a Wedding Day Astrology Report concerning the happy couple’s Spring nuptials which will describe some of the basic dynamics of their partnership.

For as you know, Sun and Moon in a horoscope are descriptive of the male (Sun) and female (Moon) principles and the midpoint between the two luminaries indicates ‘marriage.’ Well, it’s two luminaries for certain as their royal wedding day has been declared a public holiday in England with all the attendant trappings of publicity!

Not WikiLeaks this time but a lawsuit over US drone strikes in Pakistan killing innocent people has revealed the name of an American spy.

He has fled for safety after receiving death threats.
