Wedding Day Astrology: Sandra Bullock-Jesse James

with 6 comments

In a sunset ceremony on a ranch north of Santa Barbara, CA, Sandra Bullock and Jesse James were wed on July 16, 2005 under a circus-like tent full of family and friends.

The issuing of an apology from Mr. James to his wife on March 18, 2010 may or may not be enough to heal the marriage after his alleged infidelities, yet I suspect that Time will be one of the main ingredients for such healing to take place, if all parties agree.

July 16, 2005:

Sunset in Solvang, California on their wedding date occurred at 8:08:42 pm pdt with 24Cap39 rising and 14Sco33 at Midheaven. Of course, the ceremony may have concluded just prior or just after sunset but ‘8:08:42 pm’ is the symbolic hour I’m using for this particular Wedding Day Astrology Report.

(Actually, unless the Moon or Sun change signs during the 24-hour period of anyone’s wedding date, it isn’t strictly necessary to know the exact hour for our purposes.)

The Bullock-James marriage began under the auspices of Sun in Cancer(24:39) and Moon in Scorpio (25:08.) Venus and Mars were trine (0A25) so the physical side of the relationship was harmonious yet there was a disturbing midpoint picture involving Venus and the Moon, both feminie significators:

Venus/Neptune (romance) = Moon: a chaotic emotional life; being too easily led by others; a disappointed, unhappy, renouncing woman.

(As always with midpoint pictures, all, some, or none may apply.)

Sitting upon the Descendant (partnerships; marriage) is a Sun/Saturn conjunction with a 5 degree-26 minute orb. If we use an applying aspect for timing, we might think that Sun (male principle = Jesse) reached the restrictive, limiting planet, Saturn in about 5 years and 5 months.

Not knowing when his supposed affair with the tatoo model began so I may be stretching here, but cetainly the 5-year time frame tallies with the affair breaking open to public view (2010 minus 2005.) Sun to Saturn shines a light on Saturnian principles and you know that strong Saturn connections are needed in order for relationships to last – therefore, I say that things can be mended if all parties agree, with more strength in the partnershiip going forward.

But can a Scorpio Moon forgive and forget? Hmmm…that, I’m not so certain about. Still, Scorpio and Cancer are bother Water signs and are naturally trine one another, and the Moon in the sunset chart trines Saturn, too.

Before I move on to the Sun/Moon info, let me say that there is a T-Square in the chart at sunset which depends on the MC’s position (therefore, the hour is important. Since I have ‘sunset’ as a marker, I shall proceed because it may be enlightening considering how things have proceeded.)

Mercury/Neptune = Mc: far-reaching plans; intuition; sympathy; self-deception; lies; to go the wrong way. (Tyl; Ebertin.)

To paraphrase Michael Munkasey concerning the Mercury/Neptune midpoint, it relates to: actors; idealism; liars and deceitful people; failures through incorrect behavior; faulty judgment.

So here are a few traits of the Sun Can/Moon Sco blend of energies:

Romantic and sensual; dramatic; possessive; secretive; resourceful; intensely emotional and self-protective; subjective and suspicious.

This intuitive blend wants both security and intrigue and can be so deeply engrossed with personal feelings that the survival instinct can suffocate a loved one with a primal need to protect – or hang on to – the partner. This is a moody combo that tends to cling to the past.

And when feeling threatened, a brooding, hard-bitten mood may take over, yet there is much emotional strength and courage in times of crisis.

Noel Tyl gives the blend a shout-out for its needs for emotional security and to be significant, to be desired in every way. When these needs are sufficiently addressed, this intuitive combo attracts success!

Sun Can/Moon Sco is a blend shared natally by Rembrandt, Lena Horne, Nelson Rockefeller – and the Republican Party. (They’re trying to ‘hang on to’ power as I type, aren’t they? Brooding and moody. Bitter.)

“Images for Integration: Under a Full Moon, an exorcist performs a life-giving ritual; the possession fades away and the child’s life is saved…Whilst preparing his genealogical tree, a young man discovers the lost grave of his great-great-grandmother.” (‘Sun Sign-Moon Sign’ by Chas and Suzi Harvey.)

Hmm…might the second image relate to Mr. James? Seems that his gr-gr-grandfather was a cousin of the outlaw Jesse James. The first image may relate on some level to Bullock herself or to his child the couple fought a custody battle for and won…but will the ‘possession’ fade away with the marriage?

Well, Sandra Bullock got up on stage to accept her Academy Award for The Blindside, with all seeming perfect in her life, and said her husband ‘had her back’ so it is with sadness that I publish a Wedding Day Astrology Report now, after the secrets are on the table and the tatooed lady has sung her song of adultery.

My take-away from the sad situation? Putting others on a pedestal too high is always a dicey proposition doomed to disillusionment.

Still, I heartily wish the couple well and hope that things get settled soon especially on behalf of any children who may be involved.

  1. Hi Jude,

That document is confusing. I’m not sure about the correct wedding chart.

    • Kelly, the document gives them 72 hours to marry (from the date on the Order, July 14, 2005) and is not a Marriage License, so i think that all the news sources have it right – they married in CA as stated in many articles.

Therefore, for now, i’ll stand by the date, time, and place used in my post! Jude ;p

  2. Kelly, thanks for the reminder to check this out!

The pdf shows a ‘ 72-hour waiver form’ signed on July 14, 2005 saying that the Bullock-James marriage may take place within 24 hrs of the July 14 date on the form – so they had 3 days to get married. Must snoop around the pdf when i have more time and see if more than this permission ‘to celebrate’ is shown! Jude

  4. Thanks, Kelly, well that’s super, isn’t it? The sites i checked said July 16, 2005. Why, it’s almost as if the date (and location) had been obscured on purpose – or maybe i just depended on the wrong folk.

Anyway, thank you very much for the heads-up – i will re-write this post asap and add my apologies to the couple, too.

Unless of course, the date is still being obscured… ;p Jude
