Financial reform legislation will likely end up a casualty of the upcoming November elections as lawmakers are too afraid to do much about the mega-banks who finance their campaigns – assuming they ever would.

And since, as Simon Johnson says, (big) banks “are already coming after Democrats”, the American people may entertain little hope that Capitol Hill elites will make useful improvements in our financial system in spite of an obvious need to reinstate the Glass-Steagall Act.

Two words for Financial Collapse 2008: 13 Bankers

Economist Simon Johnson often makes sense to me when he speaks of financial things. Now there’s 13 Bankers, a book explaining how and why our financial system was sabotaged and what we can do about it.

Sad to say, it’s doubtful that financial system reformer Senator Chris Dodd has had a chance to read it yet.

Obama’s reforms modeling wrong Roosevelt

Simon Johnson makes the point I’d make if I were an economist who could write like Mr. Johnson: that President Obama’s reforms of the US financial system should follow Teddy Roosevelt’s actions before it attempts to model FDR’s.

And astrologers everywhere know that the July 22 Solar Eclipse at critical degree (29Can) is nearing with its ‘failed system; new methods and ideas needed; any blocks may be violently or tragically removed’ vibe.
