America’s Archetypal Presidency

Having just published a post concerning the US presidency to Stars Over Washington, I soon realized that I neglected to add notes concerning the conscious-unconscious Sun-Moon blend of the day that George Washington was first sworn into office on April 30, 1789. In such a mundane chart, the pair of lights symbolize leader-and-people and can reveal clues about the cosmic weather of the day and event:

The 1789 Inauguration‘s pragmatic earth-water Sun Taurus-Moon Cancer blend is, “The World Is My Family” combination, according to the Harveys’ Sun Sign-Moon Sign book. Its energies suggest one who is an ideal parent (George Washington, the ‘Father of Our Country’! and now we have Grandpa Biden), and one who brings out the best in others. A good counselor, he’s diplomatic, reliable, and of a domestic turn of mind. Plus, Sun Taurus-Moon Cancer exhibits an enduring loyalty yet can be sensitive to real or imagined slights or insults (but who isn’t?). After all, Moon-ruled Cancer is a very self-protective yet nurturing sign, and patriotic (but in a good way), while Venus-ruled Taurus is a fixed sign of stability.

So, it seems most appropriate to me that in light of the current Republican model for oaths of office – undependable as they are with fingers crossed behind their backs – that the “Image for Integration” given for this blend by the Harveys is a credit to both President Washington and to President Biden so let’s close this post with it:

Can you imagine the Republican Party of 2022 promoting and funding such a social and humanitarian benefit?

Horoscopes: 116th Congress and the July 2019 Solar Eclipse

As you can see, the 3 North Solar Eclipse of July 2, 2019 manifests upon the IC (Foundation; Basis; Domestic Scene) of the 116th Congress Horoscope set for its opening on January 3, 2019 at noon est, Capitol Building. This suggests that events brought along or triggered by the 3 North eclipse in July 2019–and we may as well face it: 3 North is the Prenatal Eclipse Saros Series (‘PE’) of the 9/11/01 attacks–will be at the basis of 116th Congress activities during the second half of 2019. And unfortunately, 3 North‘s caution that, ‘large plans are wanted–but don’t get carried away’ went unheeded in 2001 by Bush-Cheney and the “1% gang” so we’ll see how well things are handled this time around.

Plus, a major feature is Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi‘s natal Jupiter in Aries rises in the January 3rd chart while the natal Jupiter in Libra of Donald Trump sets on the Descendant. Politics, plans for expansion, and ideals are at odds! But we don’t need Astrology to predict a stand-off between the two leaders do we?

Astrology of the 2020 Election

Having just published a post on Stars Over Washington concerning
2020 Election Day (horoscope/s shown) here are a few astro-notes on Election Day 2020’s Sun Scorpio-Moon Gemini blend of energies with the day’s Moon ranging from 9Gem27 to 21Gem29 and Sun, as usual, in Scorpio. Note that a Gemini Moon suggests a changeable, unstable, or of-two-minds public mood of We The People.

This Water-Air blend is an ethereal mix of restlessness and volatility, and contains a sense of ‘splitness and division’. There’s a ‘quest for understanding’ though given how truth has fared in America of late under the-prevaricator-in-chief, this may indicate that the voting public’s need for facts will be, as is common, a wild goose chase. Emotional security is longed for along with the physical kind but this may be inconvenient for (cheating) leaders who use the ‘success at any cost’ and ‘ends justify means’ models of behavior. They pretend that cheating is winning! Continuing such pretense must take a psychic toll on their emotions though lack of a conscience or its neglect makes everything possible.

Anyway, I think the ‘Images for Integration’ for the Sun Scorpio-Moon Gemini combination on Election Day 2020 are revealing as given by Charles and Suzi Harvey in their book, Sun Sign-Moon Sign–see what you think while noting the Russian reference:

“Trivial Pursuits goes macabre…A virtuoso violinist touches the hearts of her audience…The mystery of life in a strip cartoon…Dostoyevsky’s The Brothers Karamazov…Rodin’s The Kiss, Hands.”

Well, on the ‘fun side’ the Sun-Moon blend of November 3, 2020 includes a ‘glorious sense of the ridiculous’ which may turn out to be a comedic balm for our wounded nation while it installs a clown into the Oval Office.

Donald Trump and Carelli’s 4 Virgo Symbol

On October 25, 2017 on Stars Over Washington I published a post concerning the 2017 and 2019 Secondary Progressed (SP) New Moons of Donald Trump (2019) and Adolf Hitler (2017).

That both SP New Moons fall upon 3Virgo+ seems significant to me due to the degree’s Sabian Symbol and the shared bigotry and eugenic-style views of both politicians. Follow the link for the entire picture but its gist is, “Black and White Children Play Together Happily…”. Also note that the post also contains the natal midpoint pictures of Trump and Hitler (for the sake of comparison).

As you know, Trump was ‘victor’ in 2016 and was inaugurated in 2017 while mired within his Balsamic phase of the Moon, the darkened phase full of endings and separations, a time when sneakiness abounds and things can ‘go bump in the night’. Symbolically, he remains within it now yet light will begin to dawn and a glimmer of a new phase of life will begin with his SP New Moon which perfects on September 19, 2019 in early Virgo- not that an instant difference will be felt or observed.

Here I shall add to the Sabian Symbol a partial quote concerning what *Adriano Carelli has to say about ‘4 Virgo’ to which I have added a few remarks in (italics):

“A steamroller”: A craze for planning and technology; a naive faith in purely mechanical progress; contempt for individual distinctions; love of the extreme and of the absolute. Some features of fatality in the existence, something inexorable in the character. A massive strength, an ability to lay out on broad lines work to be carried out by others and to give it the finishing touches after completion.

Also note that a solar eclipse in Mr. Trump’s Prenatal Solar Eclipse (PE) Saros Series (2 Old North) perfects on July 12, 2018 with themes of ‘unfortunate news’ and ‘endings and separations’ yet ‘fast action can bring good results’ (Brady).

DC Horoscope: New Moon @15Sag07 December 7, 2018 2:20:15 am est White House Washington DC; Hour of the Moon (fluctuations; changes) with Venus in Scorpio rising in 1st house and leading a BOWL shape of the planets, emphasizing the lower hemisphere, and denoting signs Taurus through Libra as representing “challenges to existence” (The Guide to Horoscope Interpretation, M. E. Jones).

Taurus through Libra includes several of Mr. Trump’s natal planets, plus his natal Midheaven with nasty Algol conjoining @24Taurus. Gemini, of course, includes Trump’s natal Uranus-NN-Sun trio; Cancer includes his nibs’ Venus-Saturn conjunction, Leo includes his natal Mars and Ascendant (conjunct royal Regulus), and Libra brings in his problematic Neptune-Chiron-Jupiter trio of fantasy, schemes, and speculation (see chart, upper right–this trio is rising along with America’s natal Saturn @14Lib48, followed symbolically by US SP Mars Rx @18Libra (SP = Secondary Progressed–our Mars regressed and turned inward against ourselves since 2006).

This difficult, weakening condition for US Mars the warrior lasts until 2086 and tragically describes unlawful shootings by police against citizens, the ongoing crises of students vs students, parents vs children and vice versa, citizens arming up, death cults, and other violent events on US soil. That transit Neptune now floats through its own sign of murky Pisces only confuses issues, masks fraud and deception, and engenders contagions of fear and paranoia in the population.

New Moons Seed and Begin a New Cycle of Activity

As for December 2018’s double Fire Sun Sag-Moon Sag combination of conscious-unconscious energies, it’s the ‘comedian-preacher’ blend suggesting optimism, questing minds, and faith in the future as befits sign ruler Jupiter. Insincerity, cruelty, and corruption are unbearable for Sun Sag-Moon Sag folk who are full of good advice and need ‘fun’ and adventure within their relationships. And if memory serves, comedian Jon Stewart was born under it! Also born with this personality blend: Ludwig van Beethoven and philosopher-physicist Max Born. Here are two quotes, one from each:

Jude’s Threshold says farewell!

Notice: on or about October 11 or 12, 2016, Jude’s Threshold will shutter for the last time. My thanks and warm regards to all who have followed, commented, and shared its content during the 8 years of its existence.

However, due to time constraints, I have not been able to migrate all the posts here over to my new Astrology blog Jude Cowell Astrology though I did try and hope you will mosey to JCAstro when you have a chance where Follows are much appreciated and No Politics or politicians will mar the cyber landscape. (I have Stars Over Washington for that!)

As for WordPress, I will especially miss the re-blog feature its format provides but with an abundance of blogs to manage elsewhere, my schedule and blog collection need an autumnal sweep!

Jude Cowell, always the reluctant astrologer

The Job of H.G. Wells

Perhaps you’ve heard author H.G. Wells called the Father of Science Fiction due to his popular novels such as The Invisible Man and War of the Worlds, made frighteningly famous in 1938 by the voice of Orson Welles.

You see, last year I re-read The Invisible Man in a series of classics I’ve been revisiting via Kindle, novels not read since my school days. Enjoyable? Yes, especially with a different perspective after all these decades! I tend to like Sci-Fi rather well though my favorite all-time books of that particular genre would have to be Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlein and Mary Shelley’s masterpiece, Frankenstein. But I digress…

Today I mention the name of H.G. Wells due to his job as mouthpiece for the power elite class of his day in such published material as The Open Conspiracy.

Was the book meant as a guideline or blueprint for the ruling class to follow? Propaganda to make its tenets seem inevitable to future generations? We see that certain things listed therein have been accomplished and others that are in process of occurring as I type. Therefore, it is my view that The Open Conspiracy is just that–a blueprint revealed, and we’re watching world government (aka, global government, or, a ‘new world order’) being implemented under our overly apathetic noses. Is it a centuries-long conspiracy too monstrous to be believed by the American people? Perhaps, and yet we all feel it, don’t we?

Actually, America’s much-touted ‘change of direction’ is due in part to the global government script Washington follows with two world wars under its Belt(way) already and a third war being purposefully stirred up. Tragically, this is what I believe and decry for its evil dimensions, cruelties, criminality, and destruction of freedom and democratic principles. Socialism, Communism, Marxism, Nazism, Zionism, Capitalism, and many other oppressive -isms are part of the agenda, no matter what such systems are called–they all play their parts.

Speaking of my former residence of Washington DC, do you know that a statue in honor of Confederate General and World War Three promoter (and Scottish Rite grand boo-bah of his day) Albert Pike (a busy guy who apparently founded the Ku Klux Klan and ran the Knights of the Golden Circle)–a statue of this Luciferian dude still stands near Capitol Hill in Washington DC. Wonder why? But let’s get back to H.G. who promoted the same Weishauptian-Rothschildian agenda of world control, same as occultist Albert Pike:

Yes, it’s true that Herbert George Wells wrote about what an undistinguished fellow he was! A mild professor type, you know. If so, that turns out to be one blueprint for a man who undermines humanity by following instructions from a grasping power elite who used Wells’ writing talent to further their conspiratorial aims. Even his Sci-Fi works may be seen as part of the script with technological subtleties and futuristic propaganda that younger generations could appreciate and thus be influenced by. Wells made a perfect mouthpiece, knowingly or not.

So what can be said about the natal planets and personality of ‘NWO’ propagandist, economist, historian, futurist, socialist, and author H. G. Wells?

First, an intriguing Sabian Symbol for the degree of his natal Sun (personality; essence; vitality; life purpose) may be of interest for when rounded up we find ’29 Virgo’: “A Man Gaining Secret Knowledge from an Ancient Scroll He Is Reading,” a past time very popular during the 19th century into which he was born on September 21, 1866 4:30 pm GMT Bromley, England. His birth data is gleaned from his birth certificate or birth record and thus has a Rodden Rating of AA for accuracy. A Sun-North Node conjunction assured him of contacts with the public and success along his solar path.

As for futurism, we don’t have to look far with Aquarius rising on the Ascendant (12:57) and Moon @21AQ05 which gave him plenty of futuristic, original, eccentric, and genius vibes of Aquarius but also some measure of psychic ability (Moon in 1st house). A secretive 12th house Jupiter in governmental Capricorn denotes metaphysical studies behind the scenes, plus, knowledge of Politics and the dissemination of political information through publishing.

A subversive, accident-prone Mars-Neptune square supports the secret, hidden, and probably metaphysical studies of the solar Sabian Symbol, above, and being born with the ‘New World Order’ planets, Uranus and Neptune, in aspect to one another (a square from Aries to Cancer) marks his generation as one of great social change and is notable for people who hold an ideal of how the world ‘could be’. Plus, his Mars (action, motivation, energy, testosterone) conjoins quirky Uranus in the 5th house of Creativity (and Romance, but that’s beyond the scope of this post!) so here are more eccentric vibes on display with his *reigning need–shown by the Moon’s sign of Uranus-ruled Aquarius–to spread his wealth of complex ideas to the general public (Moon). With both planets ruling his rising sign of Aquarius, a Saturn (past) and Uranus (future) trine suggests more otherworldly, futuristic vibes within his character and both planets relate to Astrology and to other occult (hidden) studies and interests. A protective Grand Trine

For Socialism we look to the Uranus-Neptune square, plus, his Saturn-Neptune inconjunction (150 degrees) with both planets well known for their link to such societal concepts as government, law, and business (Saturn) and the masses, the media, propaganda, and mystic pursuits (Neptune).

Looking to Wells’ 8th house of Finances, Sex, Death, and the Occult, we see a Venus-Saturn conjunction (dissatisfaction in love or long-lasting relationships–he married twice and had other romances) which is opposed by powerful Pluto @14Taurus in the 2nd house of Values and Earning Ability. Actually, the Venus-Pluto opposition across the 2/8 money axis is exact to the degree (14/14) and denotes that partnership conflicts were usually money-related. I’ve never read a biography of H.G. Wells to confirm this, but that’s what his chart shows. The Saturn-Pluto opposition suggests that he may have been victimized by people who lusted for power.

Hopefully, he learned to be suspicious of enterprises that seemed “too good to be true” because they often were. But we see that power plays were part of his professional life and thus we find at least some evidence of such manipulation within the pages of his books. Wealthy Pluto does like to pull secret strings and make things happen, doesn’t he?

As for the writer’s planet, Mercury, we see the speedy one in book-writing Virgo (19:01) in the 7th house of Partnerships along with his Sun-NN conjunction of success. This trio in 7th h suggests that his professional endeavors were often aided or promoted by others in his life, plus, his creative ideas may have been purloined at times as denoted by a 1st house Neptune Rx in Aries in wide conjunction with the separative South Node, a point of inherited talent, but also a place where a draining of energy may occur. Add to the picture a Chiron-SN conjunction and you have a blind spot or a wound which he dealt with from a past generation or ancestor.

Well, there is much more to the complicated natal chart and character of H.G. Wells but we’ll have to close before this post becomes a novel! Yet perhaps you’d be curious about the Earth-Air Sun Virgo-Moon Aquarius personality blend of global visionary H.G. Wells for it is quite descriptive; then we’ll end with a quote from the author himself:

Sun Virgo-Moon Aquarius personalities tend to exhibit shrewd intelligence and keen observational skills–perfect traits for an author. Virgo is the book-writer and this blend describes a progressive thinker full of ideas and ideals. How Virgoan of him to want to organize society into a tidy, well-functioning system where messy emotions and sentimental ties must be extinguished. Science is another of Virgo’s interests so a double portion for Mr. Wells with his rising Moon in scientific, space traveling Aquarius.

Quiet humility (as he writes of himself as undistinguished, etc) and reformist tendencies entwine along with a matter-of-fact attitude added to the quirky sense of humor of The Critic, and may suggest a rather robotic side. Politics and international planning are possible areas of interest and we know in hindsight that they were, of course. Friendly yet aloof, Mr. Wells preferred alliances based on common interests (as do most people) though he may have had a bit of a monk-like air about him and was conscientiously dedicated to his work.

Sun Sign-Moon Sign by Charles and Suzi Harvey gives the Virgo-Aquarius blend two ‘Images for Integration’ (which refers to the Sun/adult/conscious mind and the Moon/child/unconscious mind when they successfully work together to form a whole personality):

Yeah, ‘new and improved‘. Well, power-mad globalists then and now like to assume that their oh-so-rational Uranus-Neptune ideal of Utopianism is an “improvement.” They plan for the ‘order’ to come out of the societal chaos that they themselves create. It’s the devilish Hegelian Dialectic put into action: thesis-antithesis-synthesis.

Okay, I’ll hush for now and close with a few apt words from H.G. Wells:

“If the world does not please you, you can change it.”

Wonder if he thought that up all by himself?

As always, my focus must be Stars Over Washington and will be directed in the coming weeks to creating articles about political events such as Campaign 2016 (often using the excellent lens of Astrology to peek behind the curtain!), to writing new Stars Over Washington Reports (2015–2016), plus, setting up a plan to once again offer natal and other astrology reports digitally delivered, each report with my notes attached, along with a phone session for those who request it.

Spring EQ 2014: Sun Aries-Moon Scorpio

On March 20, 2014 at 12:57:09 pm est, the Sun reaches 00Aries00:00 in the Tropical Zodiac and the Spring season begins here in the Western Hemisphere and the 2014 astrological year ensues.

With Sun in Aries, the Mars-ruled sign of warriors and activists, and Moon (We the People in mundane astrology) in the Mars-Pluto-ruled sign of Scorpio, we may glean a bit of information on the character of the season while remembering that all Aries Ingress horoscopes provide a background influence for the entire year.

Aries is a Fire sign, of course, and Scorpio a Water sign and together their energies give something of a steamy nature to the proceedings. Steam purifies but can scorch as well and this supports the Spring EQ 2014 chart implications–have a peek and you’ll see expansive Jupiter rising along with Sirius, a star known as The Scorcher, and the Dog Star.

Plus, in Brady’s Book of Fixed Stars we find Sirius (worshiped in ancient Egypt as Isis–and as a goddess in Washington DC as well–in Sumerian, Inanna) described with keywords, ‘The fire of immortality’ which relates, as you know, to planet Venus as Morning and Evening star…in mythology, descending into the underworld (becoming invisible on Earth) for part of the year.

America’s natal Sun @13Cap19 (July 4, 1776 5:10 pm LMT Philadelphia, PA) conjoins the zodiacal position of Sirius which has actually moved closer by precession and is now positioned at 14Cancer.

So! Spring 2014’s Sun Ari-Moon Sco blend denotes a season imbued with intensity, power, and wit. We’ll be treated to more self-dramatizing from ego-driven Washington and elsewhere along with some back-stabbing from those thought to be friends. (In DC, my former place of residence, you know what they say: if you want a friend, get a dog. Or maybe a Dog Star?)

Cynicism, brazen behavior, and pushiness will be perhaps even more prevalent than usual as the 2014 mid-term election campaigns heat up and politicians attempt to scope points with their constituents. Most people are feeling purposeful this Spring but to whose benefit (?) as self-belief takes the lead. Hidden corners are probed for secrets are always revealed when Scorpio is involved–and, until the April 29th Solar Eclipse (9Tau), we remain under the influence of the 16 North Scorpio Solar Eclipse of November 3, 2013 (11Sco15) with its Uranus-Neptune vibes of bright ideas and welcomed solutions.

All in all, Spring 2014 promises a season and a year of ambition, hard work, and single-minded determination and we’re all ready for new experiences and the bright ideas that bring them. Jupiterian improvement in circumstances and investment in job creation would be welcomed changes, too, yet it seems like Politics, that ‘organized system of hatreds’ (asserted Henry B. Adams), ruins almost everything it touches–and it’s doing so on purpose.

Now with Spring being a time of new beginnings and new life sprouting up, let’s close this post with a quote from an author who was born during a Sun Ari-Moon Sco interlude, one Henry James–imho, his words are a slap in the face of totalitarian Global Government types and puppet monarchists the world over!

Who does JFK’s grandson Jack Schlossberg favor?

It is my considered opinion that John F. Kennedy’s only grandson, John (Jack) Schlossberg, son of Caroline (our new ambassador to Japan), favors his Uncle John Jr more than he favors his grandfather Jack Kennedy.

Jack, age 20 and studying emergency medical technology at Yale University, is being haled as a handsome lad and with this who could disagree? Recently he spoke at the 50th anniversary of New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport, and was on hand for the photo shoot of his mother being sworn in as ambassador to Japan.
