Astrology on the EU and Euro’s future

Update June 25, 2016: sorry to say that the link to Roy Gillett’s article seems to be no longer live. jc

What a find! I have to share with you a link to astrologer Roy Gillett’s article on What Are the Prospects for the Euro?

You don’t have to speak Astrologese in order to read it either. But perhaps you’re wondering what Astrology has to say about the European debt crisis and how things may proceed: then I direct you to Mr. Gillett, who says, “Whatever is done through the last part of 2011 is unlikely to be enough.”

Most of the economists I’ve read are agreeing with that unsentimental sentiment. Check out Italian PM Silvio Berlusconi’s ridiculous facial expression here–what a pout on a grown man!–and tell me if you think the deals done so far by European leaders will ease EU/euro problems or only exacerbate them.

Senator Bernie Sanders downgrades S&P

Though you’ve probably heard or read this quote before today concerning Friday’s S&P downgrade of America’s credit rating to AA+, I wanted to post it somewhere and since I’ve already published this morning to my Political Astrology site Stats Over Washington, it fits here snugly. Plus, this way I can find it easily whenever I want since truth coming out of Washington DC is often sparse and far between:

“I find it interesting to see S&P so vigilant now in downgrading the US credit rating. Where were they four years ago when they, and other credit rating agencies, helped cause this horrendous recession by providing AAA ratings to worthless sub-prime mortgage securities on behalf of Wall Street investment firms? Where were they last December when Congress and the White House drove up the national debt by $700 billion by extending Bush’s tax breaks for the rich?” – Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders

Yes, where were S&P and other credit raters as they played their role in the engineered, well-timed, long-planned Financial Collapse 2008? To the senator’s words I must add a hearty Amen!

War defeats threaten neocon fortunes

Believe me, Mr. Parry knows what’s what!

The looming U.S. defeats in Iraq and Afghanistan represent a threat to the political fortunes of America’s neocons — if they get blamed for the disasters. However, if they can hang the failures around President Obama’s neck, the two lost wars might help bring the neocons back to power as early as 2013, writes Robert Parry.

You know in early August 2011, the transiting South Node (separation; neurotic behavior; talent; the past) will conjoin US natal Mars in Gemini which underscores the themes of war and violence and may point to our troops coming back from the Middle East…a few of them anyway.

And of course, August 2, 2011 is said to be the ‘deadline’ for raising the US debt (credit) ceiling so we can fight more wars. Because we know from recent ‘austerity measures’ that the increase in frothy funds couldn’t possibly be to answer our many dire needs, now could it?

(I’m turning really grumpy from all this, can you tell?)

Anyway, in a couple of hours I’ll be updating Stars Over Washington with a look-see at the horoscope of August 2, 2011, Washington DC, so do drop by when you may!

And wouldn’t you just know that bubbly, inflationary Jupiter-Neptune is involved?

2010 a Big Year for Americans to File for Bankruptcy

1.5 Million Americans Filed for Bankruptcy in 2010

By Jerry White

As tens of millions are finding it impossible to pay their bills, the corporations and banks are raking in record profits, top executives are pocketing huge payouts and the richest 2 percent of the population is celebrating the tax cut handed to them by Obama and the congressional Republicans.

~:~

Yes, the swamp of Washington DC, my former abode, has always had a pungent odor but the above linked article indicates a headier brew wafting from our nation’s capital than ever before.

Perhaps we should follow the one-world-government script and ALL file for bankruptcy whether one’s financial condition warrants it or not – as indicated by the Sabian Symbol of the Moon (the people; the public; we-the-people) on the morning of 9/11/01…’28Gemini” = “A Man Declared Bankrupt” = DELIVERANCE.

Positive expression: an effective and overall resourcefulness in even the worst of conditions;

Negative/unconscious/shadow side: a willingness to dodge every responsibility and betray the very core of self. (The Sabian Symbols in Astrology, Marc Edmund Jones.)

Seems to this American that the dodging of responsibility and deep betrayal occurred at the top levels of the US government on its way to do Wall Street’s every bidding.

And President Obama’s corporate appointments to his White House staff this week only makes it even clearer as destructuring, transforming Pluto continues his raid through government-business-law-ruling Capricorn, sign of America’s natal Pluto placement.

Neptune’s fraud to we-the-people: more housing woes to come

This just in 10.13.10:

NPR BREAKING NEWS: Officials In 49 States Launch Foreclosure Probe The officials, including attorneys general and bank regulators, will examine whether mortgage company employees made false statements or prepared documents improperly. More at NPR.

Original post from 5 minutes ago begins here:

Most Americans agree that the recession certainly isn’t “over” with continued unemployment at the base of home foreclosures and real estate evaluation woes in abundance which will lead to further decline and loss. The October 8, 2010 station retrograde of Venus, planet of evaluations, @ 13Sco13 is having its reviewing and renegotiation effects as well as certain big banks have suspended their robo-foreclosure process for a moment.

(Have the banksters and fraudsters succeeded in defrauding themselves? How many empty houses do they want anyway?)

So as you know, transiting Neptune, planet of fraud, confusion, deception, and loss, has been billowing its dissolving rays around and underneath the US natal Moon in Aquarius which in Mundane Astrology signifies we-the-people.

Oceanic (and, in a perfect world, spiritual) Neptune also represents ‘floods’, ‘mass media’, ‘the masses’, and the ‘urge to merge’, an urge which obviously knows no bounds; thus we describe the all-encompassing problems our nation’s housing and financial markets are experiencing. Determining all causes for one’s problems is difficult under Neptune’s influence and the finger-pointing at the many (often hidden) culprits continues.

However, the one thing that Astrology brings to any table is the element of Time or timing. Thus we know that eventually, this fraudulent, loss-filled period of Neptune-to-US-natal-Moon will end.

The question is: will anything of value to we-the-people still be standing when it does?

No surprise: US census reveals poverty up

Census Reveals 45 Million Americans Living in Poverty

By Daily Mail

One in seven Americans is living below the poverty line, the US census figures reflect the worst decline in worst decline in living standards for more than half a century.

It took decades of greed by the wealthy class to skew the gap between rich and poor even more in their favor, but I have to say that it took only eight years of Bush-Cheney policies to tip our nation into third-world status – lest the GOP forget that Financial Collapse 2008 occurred on Bush’s watch.

Now Republicans want to extend the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans! For the GOP, it seems that sometimes America’s astronomical deficit matters (ex: extending unemployment benefits when there are few jobs to be found, and funding other programs for lesser endowed citizens), but when it comes to an extra bonus for millionaires and billionaires, their deficit concerns evaporate into that thin and precious air they breathe.

Reminds me of a famous quote by
Henry Brooks Adams
, great-great-grandson of John Adams (yet Henry is known for his anti-semitism):

“Politics, as a practice, whatever its professions, has always been the systematic organisation of hatreds.”

In more ways than one as both Ds and Rs use divide-and-conquer tactics against the citizenry in order to keep their cushy Capitol Hill jobs and powerful positions. And though I mistrust the Tea Party’s being funded by the corporate Koch brothers, I exult in how Tea Partisans have managed to ruffle GOP feathers!

Our Labor Day parade 2010

Americans have President Grover Cleveland to thank for the political ploy of setting up an annual Labor Day, a Monday holiday for some that traditionally has meant speeches and parades through the towns and burroughs.

Imho, Cleveland established Labor Day in order to avert more crises with workers angry toward the government, not to honor them, which is a load of hogwash!

So considering the condition of the US labor market and too-high unemployment numbers, I suspect ‘parades’ may morph into demonstrations and protests this September 6, 2010.

This year the semi-holiday will give his opponents yet another opening to ‘make it’ about President Obama’s policies when massive layoffs are actually a decades-long trend brought to us by American and Global Corporatism.

Now if you’ve ever read this blog or my Political Astrology blog Stars Over Washington, you know that I consider our ‘two-party’ system to be a mirage. It’s ruling class vs we-the-people in my book with little if any difference between an R and a D.

Yet their waging of class warfare has been in evidence more clearly in recent years though it’s been a bone of contention off and on for decades in the US, perhaps since Day One in our plutocracy. The more Americans out of work, the more notice it’s a case of class warfare and yes, greed.

Particularly since the late 1800s, the era of the industrialists, aka the Robber Barons, workers’ jobs have been dependent upon upper crusters whose main concern with the bottom line is paramount; their craving for power only grows. While the rest of us long to pay our bills and decently support our families, the power elite long for more control over us…which includes the ability to lay off thousands at one swipe.

In fact, recent data of corporate earnings show that much of their ‘earnings’ are wispily based on letting go their workforce in massive numbers. A neat trick to increase profits, if you’re in the corporate ruling class, eh? And who’s to stop you? SCOTUS is on the side of corporations against the individual, as has been made exceedingly clear.

Well, in May 2010, Mother Jones reported that No matter what’s going on in the broader economy, Wall Street always thinks earning will be at least 12% or higher – part of their sneaky tricks of the trade, no doubt.

Yes, Wall Street’s Fuzzy Math and multiple sets of books bedevil the US economy but you don’t need any sort of math at all if you or a loved one are out of a job with no prospects for employment. You’re zero-for-zero and x-ed off the rolls. Turning to Congress for aid barely gets you a crust of bread though funds for war are easily financed.

So what to do for Labor Day 2010?

Will you march in a celebratory parade – or a had-enough protest?

Is the Fed caught in a liquidity trap?

My cat was munching some green shoots the other day from a flower pot of catnip but you know they didn’t look anything like the slow economic recovery we’re slogging through like dazed Bambis.

Seems the Fed is ‘caught in a trap’ and the US dollar must fall because chewing off their own hindquarters isn’t in the power elite’s script for achieving greater control of society. They want more, not less, silly!

Well, one of my problems with all this, of course, is that I can’t forget FDR’s informative statement which I shall paraphrase once again: ‘Nothing in politics happens by accident, if it happens you can be sure it was meant to happen’.

So you’ve probably never noticed me calling the Fed, Obama’s economic team of Wall Street gentry, or economists such names as ‘stupid’ or ‘dumb’ or ‘incompetent’ because I think they have the US economy and financial system just where they want it, more or less. ‘Less’ because outside interference seems evident to me so there’s that crazy wild card about to be played for shock value – the coup de grace some people think is coming to the over-extended US. (Read article linked above for better ‘splainin’ of the fundamentals.)

From TARP funds sent overseas to fatten foreign investors’ piggybanks (where it won’t be spent to help any of the world’s Main Streets pay a street sweeper’s wages much less sell some merchandise) and huge corporate bonuses bundled and thieved from taxpayer pennies – to mergers that blight careers and thus lives, plus, those hoarding banks – someone has sopped up all the drippings and left the rest of us with only gristle to chew on.

The American public has recently had the Great Conjunction/s of inflationary Jupiter and Neptune upon our US natal Moon (we-the-people) in Aquarius all through 2009, a year of financial mummery, dreams of popping bubbles, and pumping liquidity into the system if there ever was one.

Plus, counterfeit (Neptune) bills (Jupiter) have become more of a problem than the Fed is likely to admit and a Jupiter/Neptune year is an integral time for that particular cyclic scam. These huge planets conjunct approximately every 13 years, the last time in Jan 1997 @ 27Cap09 during Bill Clinton’s and Alan Greenspan’s watch (conjunct US natal Pluto!)

2009’s Jupiter/Neptune = US n Moon: becoming involved in speculation; confusion over reality vs fiction; an emotional swoon; going with the wind; dreaminess deceives; losing oneself in plans; instability; wastefulness.

1997’s Jupiter/Neptune = US n Pluto: plans unreasonable beyond measure; far-reaching speculations; a great loss.

(Note: the pair may also signify global (Neptune) + bankers (Jupiter), an amorphous international group of shady characters with grand schemes all their own.)

Now you know that Astrology describes energy in an AC-DC fashion so if a midpoint trait manifests or is stimulated, its energy can be on, or coming from, one side the other; any, all, or none may apply.

Now we’re plopped into 2010, a year of financial slight of hand brought to us in part by the Great Conjunction/s of Jupiter and Uranus through the year into 2011. This is a bright duo that can magically impress with what later turns out to be little more than a flash in the pan or an overpromise unless other factors stabilize or give support.

Jupiter and Uranus met at Aries Point on June 8, 2010 and will conjoin twice more in September and on January 4, 2011 in late degrees of nearby murky Pisces, sign of oceans, fish (including thousands of dead ones on the Gulf Coast and elsewhere), drugs, chemicals, deceit, footwear, and the collective unconscious.

Actually, January 4, 2011 is the date of a Solar Eclipse @ 13Cap39 which closely opposes US natal Sun (the leader) so we may expect the President to be turning course on something around that time or during the 6 months following, if need be. This one is in the 13 North Series: ‘energy in groups and associations; large ambitious group projects that require the breaking of an existing bond; separation then joint achievement.’

(Paraphrasing Brady’s Predictive Astrology; midpoint pics from Tyl; Ebertin: Munkasey.)

He may be changing course in some way because this eclipse occurring in opposition to US n Sun echoes an ‘un-birthday’ when the Sun opposes its natal position: say, you were born on January 4, then your un-birthday is July 4…time to review how plans are going toward your goals for the year and make adjustments if necessary.

The presence of an eclipse at the critical degree of 13Cap/Can gives potential events and situations more of a ‘wild card’ vibe, however.

Remember June 8’s conjunction of Jupiter and Uranus @ 00Ari18 (AP)?

It conjoined the IC in America’s Sibly natal chart so there’s a midpoint picture which may be of interest to our topic…IC is about Endings and is sometimes called, The Drain in a horoscope. Opposite is the most visible point in any chart, the Midheaven (MC) which is about Career, Status, Goals and Aspirations, and Recognition on the World Stage….the high point with the IC being the low point.

Jupiter/Uranus = n MC: the role of politics as a means of gaining status or standing.

Oh, politics is a means, all right. A means for lining pockets! (US n Jupiter @ ‘6Can’ = “Game Birds Feathering Their Nests.” And that’s from 1776!)

And perhaps the government’s proposed ‘kill switch’ on the internet is related to the technology and science of 2010/11’s Jupiter/Uranus combo and the ‘pull the plug’ image I’m unwillingly envisioning is inspired by The Drain in the US chart being ‘stimulated’ like a corporate welfare bailout that results in wastefulness for the US economy but a windfall for person or persons unknown.

Homeowners may find mercy from MERS

A big bank invention of the early 1990s meant to make property titles easier while getting around local titling fees, MERS may be of help to some troubled homeowners by making it the pittard upon which to hoist a few mortgage institutions!

The MERS dilemma sounds like a mighty big mess to me but if making use of it keeps families in their homes rather than putting them out on the streets, let’s have a huge helping of MERS for America’s sake and for the common good.

So what’s the Fed to do?

Is ‘weak recovery’ not an oxymoron of some sort?

Anyway, here’s an article from USA Today on what the Federal Reserve’s next move might be to bolster our ‘weak recovery’ after Friday’s lackluster jobs report.

However, that’s assuming that a bolster is what they actually intend.

Update 8.10.10: yes, the Fed is meeting as I type and a post is now up concerning the Fed, Jupiter-Neptune, and Plunder if you’re interested. My apologies if the link doesn’t work – the post’s title had to be edited so it may act funkily.

If so, please sashay yourself over to Stars Over Washington and check for an August 10, 2010 post, the latest one published, if you hurry.
