Saturn and the Moon’s South Node

With transit Saturn and South Node of the Moon currently conjoined in space here is a reblog of something I wrote many moons ago:

Jude's Threshold

Her New Tatoo

drawing: Her New Taboo Tatoo

When transiting Saturn and the South Node of the Moon met up in October ’07 some mention was made of it at my Political Astrology blog, Stars Over Washington.

But here are some general notes on the pairing of Saturn (separation; restriction principle; loss; lessons; denial; control; delay; responsibility; authority; accountability; form), and South Node (SN), a point of separation, past connections, talents and abilities; also has to do with inheritance and family entanglements…and on a psychological level, with neuroses–defensive behavior we developed which made sense at the time but now doesn’t give an appropriate result to our current situation and needs.

Like bashing our noggins against brick walls, falling back on habitual SN behavior is okay as a short respite but if we want better outcomes in our lives, we must change our behavior to match today’s reality. Easy to say, isn’t it?

Funny how we…

Book Review: Castle on the Rise

An insightful book review! I always like it when history and genealogy inform one another.

Princes, Paupers, Pilgrims & Pioneers

For more than 800 years, the relationship between England and Ireland was held in a tenuous balance. The English Parliament and Crown felt that Ireland could not nor should not be independent of England:

Ireland is too great to be unconnected with us, and too near us to be dependent on a foreign state, and too little to be independent. ~C.T. Grenville, the Duke of Rutland, 3 December 1784.

However, many Irish citizens thought differently. Starting in 1534, the Irish began opposing English claims on their land and demanding sovereignty. Conflicts continued for more than 250 years.

Then, 14 years after the Duke of Rutland uttered his condescending words, the Irish Rebellion of 1798 erupted. Inspired by both the American Revolution and the French Revolution, the Society of United Irishmen, dedicated to the pursuit of a republican form of government in a separate and independent Ireland, took up arms against…

Trust vs Self Doubt

Zeebra Designs & Destinations

Poza Honda - Manabi Province- EcuadorPoza Honda - Manabi Province- Ecuador Smooth-billed Ani in Calabash Tree – Poza Honda/Manabi/Ecuador

“… If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you – and make allowance for their doubting too…”from the poem If by Rudyard Kipling (for the complete poem go HERE)

Self doubt can sabotage one’s concentration. How well I remember standing at the free-throw line and hoping that I would not miss the final shot for a Jr.-high basketball game.  Aware of my teammates, of the coach, of offensive/defensive choices if the ball missed the basket, of the next team waiting for the buzzer and warm ups; I also considered the home-town fans and strangers in the packed gym. Would my team win, would we lose, or would we go into overtime? The possibilities provided many distractions for an inexperienced young-teen! * That moment taught me an important life lesson: block out the conflicting variables and focus on the…

New Moon in Pisces, March 6, 2019

March 6, 2019 a New Moon in mid-Pisces with details:

Libra Seeking Balance

We’ll need to exercise our Emotional Intelligence and common sense on the New Moon at 15° 47′ Pisces on 6 March 2019, 08:05 AM PST. Neptune conjoins the Pisces Sun and Moon, deepening the feeling of being far underwater. If it wasn’t for patient Saturn in Capricorn and Mars in Taurus providing ballast to the Pisces stellium, we would probably find ourselves floating off into Never-Never land.

A waxing trine between Mars in Taurus and Saturn in Capricorn is the base of a small triangle with the Sun, Moon and Neptune in Pisces at the apex. Mars and Saturn will work hard to keep us anchored in reality and perhaps provide the necessary focus to turn our dreams into reality. It may take time and consistent effort to make this happen but it is doable.

Adding to the overall sense of confusion is Mercury in Pisces, currently at a standstill…

marching on

libramoon speaks through poetry…

Year of Prophecies

Soldiers marching in a desert,
remember not their daily cares.
Remember only endless marching.
Caught in dreaming, unawares.
*
*
*
*
marching to Bethlehem
*
*
Things fall apart.
The center does not hold.
We, along the periphery
dissemble for survival.
All our pretty goals
dissolving in the face
inevitable despair brings.
The wise babble desperate incantations.
The weak of will and mind
sing Hallelujahs and kick the peasants
as they pass.
Perhaps we are in the hallway
of a great reckoning.
Mad Earth grumbles loudly,
threatens to rescind Her bounty.
Men of illwill, men of destiny
proudly proclaim their birthright
to pillage, to plunder, to prey upon
chaos, annihilation.
If only the poets sang truth in such
majestic certainty, with such
charismatic humor and allure.
Things fall apart
coalesce
reconfigure.
Here, along the periphery
we carry our burdens,
sink ever more deeply
into rotten crevices
singing our selves

Full Moon in Cancer, December 22, 2018

Helpful insights on the Dec 22nd Full Moon in Cancer:

Libra Seeking Balance

This Full Moon at 0° 49′ Cancer on 22 December 2018, 09:49 AM PST, brings opportunities to see where we need to clear the decks and make a fresh start. The energy to make this happen is there too with a cardinal emphasis and the luminaries aspecting Uranus in Aries.

The situation with Uranus in Aries aspecting the Capricorn Sun and Cancer Moon is an interesting one. While Aries squares Capricorn and Cancer by sign, if we go by the numbers the Moon is sextile Uranus and the Sun is trine. The bottom line is this generates the need to take action. Uranus in Aries provides the fuel, the Capricorn Sun gives the ability to plan carefully and the Cancer Moon gives us the reasons why we need to take the next step. The important thing is move with caution rather than leaping into something, as tempting as that might…

Christmas Card 2018

One cartoon sums it up for Britain!

The Oligarch Kings

EPSON MFP image

Just when Theresa thought it could’nt get any worse…..”

The British are in a political quandry the likes of which have not been seen since Suez.  They all want rid of Theresa May the Prime Minister, but no one wants the poisoned chalice whilst Brexit continues.  However Theresa seems to finally have pissed everyone off by her endless attempts to be all things to all men.

Here below is last year’s card which is probably even more apposite today then then.

EPSON MFP image

Face it Theresa it’s only children that believe in either of us any more…..
