Eric Cantor: Sun Gemini-Moon Sagittarius
Lately, Rep. Eric Cantor has been making a name for himself during the ongoing ‘debt talks’ and negotiations at the White House so naturally a peek at his natal planets seemed to be in order.
Mr. Cantor was born June 6, 1963 in Richmond, VA, birth hour unknown. If you wish to view a noon version of his natal chart, you’re cordially invited to do so. Details concerning his crusading Jupiter in Aries (finances) are included along with transits for Wednesday July 13, 2011, and more.
In his horoscope, you’ll note that Rep. Cantor was born under a YOD pattern indicating a special task, crisis, or turning point when childish tantrums just won’t do. Sun, Jupiter, and Neptune are involved in the YOD pattern.
Before we consider here Eric Cantor’s Sun Gem-Moon Sag personality blend (and in light of the recent turmoil and stand-offs at White House meetings), let’s note two midpoint pictures in President Obama’s natal chart (August 4, 1961 7:24 pm AHST Honolulu, HI) which are ‘completed’ or triggered by Eric Cantor’s natal Pluto, planet of power, rage, and psychology, in Virgo.
(Any, all, or none may apply; BHO = Obama, EC = Cantor, n = natal; NN = North Node, a point of encounters.)
BHO n Mars/NN = EC n Pluto: the performance of joint record achievements; a violent or forced separation from a union or partnership; increased need for control of a professional group; deterring others from competing with you.
Sounds combustible, doesn’t it? Especially with the influence of Mr. Cantor’s very close Mars/Uranus conjunction in early Virgo which tends to create excitement if there isn’t enough of it around—and it refuses to take No for an answer.
BHO n Mars/Uranus = EC n Pluto: people get more fury from you than help; finishing fights to the end; efforts for reform have more far-reaching effects than planned; confronting or battling more powerful forces; force; a violent intervention. (Ebertin; Munkasey.)
Sun Gem-Moon Sag is an Air-Fire combo, the ‘live wire’ of combos all full of exciting, visionary ideas which are communicated with zeal. Bombast and bluster are a caution for Air-Fire for it tends to get carried away with its own rhetoric when it may be compared to a hot-air balloon.
More specifically, Sun Gem-Moon Sag shows one who is intellectual, curious, impatient yet friendly, and a flamboyant communicator. This eternal student and scholar can display emotional immaturity and an outspoken nature while attracting many friends including poets and idealists.
Mr. Cantor loves to travel and meets with many interesting experiences and people while doing so–the Sagittarius archetype of The Seeker applies. Intuitive leaps, a vivid imagination, and a gift for enthusing others on behalf of his ideas and ideals are natural talents.
Cautions include a tendency toward indiscreet communications and a wish to ‘breeze through life’ on the strength of a quick wit even though he has a need to ‘know it all’.
“Images for Integration: The Pied Piper leads his merry band of youths to the amphitheatre on the hill for an afternoon of music lessons, philosophical teachings and baseball…A young man goes abroad to attend university and becomes a foreign correspondent.”
(Sun Sign-Moon Sign, Charles & Suzi Harvey.)
Note the mention of “the hill” as in Washington!

Illuminating look at Cantor’s style. This observation explains his obnoxious, dreamy-eyed beliefs systems without being concerned with the downsize of his actions.

Thanks for your comment, Tim! Yes, he is a complex cuss, isn’t he?
And like Reagan he apparently ‘hates’ poor people and would like to extinguish as many of them as he can by ‘Starving the Beast’. It’s the Beast pretending to ‘starve the beast’ ! And that is one reason Rs are not concerned about the consequences of their proposed ‘austerity cuts’ — the dire effects are just what the Beast ordered.. Besides, I think ‘the Beast’ they want to starve isn’t government–it’s we-the-people.
Hope you’ve had a chance to click for rmore on Cantor’s natal chart (w image set for noon) at Stars Over Washington (though he doesn’t look any more human there.) jc
