Karl No-Show Rove

As you know, Mr. Defiant was a no-show yesterday on Capitol Hill, so I penned a poem in honor of a man who knows all the Bush skeletons personally:

A poem for Hillary (5.25.08)

Hillary Clinton 2008  Here’s a freshly written poem for Hillary…

When loos’ed lips are sinking ships

along with campaign runs

a lady tired may soon be fired

though sticking to her guns

I’ll not drop out we hear her pout

my rival may be shot

in June perhaps while someone naps

then I will take his slot

You won’t regret this teacher’s pet

upon the stage I’ll stride

my years of service don’t forget

have filled me with such pride

a Senate seat was rather sweet

it tided me awhile

but there’s one thing your votes can bring

designed to make me smile

Now send me up and fill my cup

with power so sublime

the new world order will salute

my pantsuit it’s my time

Who eats my dust in campaigns must

agree with me and then

you’ll wonder why I had to cry

to vanquish all the men.

Political Rhyme of a Presidency for Sale

Early this morning the muse of political rhymery landed rather clunkily upon my brow and I’ve published the results here:

Warning: if you wear your political indoctrinations on your sleeve–or are floating within an Obama dream–you may wish to skip this triple-versed smidge of campaign cynicism.

Warning: above warning may be Void in France–they love him over there, said http://www.npr.org this morning.

cat writes limerick: Bush final SOTU

Princess Grace has reluctantly allowed me to post her short little limerick concerning tonight’s SOTU address: http://limslimericks.blogspot.com/2008/01/sotu-boo-hoo-12808.html

And you may see a black’n’white photo there of the lovely feline herself!

Cat writes political limerick: Karl Rove’s fluff

Cat in a Very Green Chair

Even the fluff of Karl Rove won’t protect him from the snarly Mr.A.Cat’s rhyminess.

A former agent in service to our nation, the elusive Mr.A. has penned a limerick in the litterbox of political verse for you to read–a limerick which concerns Mr. Rove and his sassy ways…

Who knew cats could be so political? Did you?

Yet the kitty cat in the chair, pictured above, looks fairly harmless, don’t you agree? Rather settled in, I might add.

“There are two lasting bequests we can give our children: One is roots, the other is wings.” Teaching children values and giving them the opportunity to excel are essential to good parenting. However, I feel I must also provide my children (and myself) insight into the ones who came before us: our ancestors whose lives and stories have shaped us into who we are. This is my journey; these are their stories…
