National Geographic on 2012’s ‘end of the world’ myths

National Georgraphic Magazine attempts to debunk the Dec 21, 2012 end-of-world scenarios many folks are fearing by discussing the 2012 end of the world myths along with some basic Mayan Calendar info you may wish to review.

It all goes back to Venus…

Winter Solstice Dec 21, 2012: chart now up

If you’re interested, here’s a link to a freshly published Page concerning the Winter Solstice of 2012 which has received much press already due to its significance in the Mayan Calendar. You’ll find an image of the Solstice chart – set for Washington, DC, the White House – with some info on Fixed Stars, apex Jupiter Rx in a YOD pattern, and other details included:

Isis and the New Moon in Cancer 7.2.08

Tonight’s New Moon (12 Cancer) is one degree from the US’ and George Bush’s natal Suns, but I don’t want to think about that now.

But I do like thinking about how this New Moon is conjunct asteroid Isis, a moon goddess archetype. Seems that Americans staying home for our July 4th holiday will be the thing to do…mama like!

Yesterday I happened to post on Egyptian goddess Isis with her keywords, etc, here:

which also has a link to an article concerning David Albright and his organization ISIS, an article written by Scott Ritter. I do appreciate Ritter’s writing–it’s direct and to the point (which is redundant, isn’t it?)

~~note: if the above link wasn’t live before it’s hopefully repaired now–jc~~

And back in January, this reluctant astrologer wrote a post on a few things relating to Venus and the end of the Mayan Calendar (Dec 2012), a post which shows my measly effort to capture in art the Sabian Symbol for 12 Cancer: “A Chinese Woman Nursing a Baby with a Message” so have a peek if you wish, but remember: it’s the dark of the moon tonight, so watch your step around the house (Cancer!)
