2012’s Friday the 13th with Mars Turning Direct

Today the long seige of a retrograde Mars ends as the planet of action, energy, and motivation begins a forward march. So if I were you (and I’m not last time I checked) I’d take some pertinent advice from my friend astrologer Julie Demboski on the matter!

Plus, if you’re not totally fed up with Politics, you may wish to visit my Political Astrology blog for a few astro-notes on the Mars Station Direct @ 3Vir40 in relation to Washington DC, my former place of residence. (Or maybe not. Wouldn’t blame you for being fed up with the varmints who now infest the land.)

While there be sure to scroll a smidgeon down Stars Over Washington’s sidebar for two considerations of the Astrology of DNC 2012 and RNC 2012 for that time draws near and more astro-notes will be forthcoming…

Either way, I hope today’s ‘Friday the 13th’ is going well for you and that all your ducks are lining up in neat rows, ready and eager to waddle forward!

Moon in Taurus, Assange freed, and John Milton 12-16-10

Well, WikiLeaks’ Julian Assange will be freed on bail today or tomorrow and won’t have to spend Christmas in a Victorain-era prison, and astrologer Julie Demboski takes a look at what’s going on over our noggins today, December 16, 2010, with the Moon leaving Aries behind and happy to be exalted in Taurus. Julie writes on today’s Material Consequences in and from Pacific Time so be sure to catch up with her insightful analysis.

Mercury Rx in early Capricorn continues backing up toward Sagittarius and will be crossing the threshold of ’30Sag’ soon, the “The Pope Blessing the Faithful” degree (and I’m sure he does) as the planet of negotiations, messages, and The Mind leaves Pluto’s Cap neighborhood for a while but soon to reunite.

Today’s Sun Sag-Moon Tau blend is a Fire-Earth ‘scorched earth’ combination of energies which holds entrenched beliefs, has much self-confidence, and exhibits extravagant tastes. It loves pleasant surroundings and familiar faces and is a ‘practical philosopher’ blend that loves to know all the facts and has a tendency to let others pick up the bill…kind of like the richest 2% taking public dole from the new tax cut deal between Mr. Obama and the GOP – which makes the rich richer and the poor poorer.

No kudos for you on this one, Washington, for you’re still up to the same old class warfare tricks so favored by the plutocratic combo of Pluto/Chiron, here in our US oligarchy.

Of course, the transiting Pluto/Chiron midpoint is on the Midheaven Point (Goal) of the Inauguration 2009 horoscope so the Obama-GOP collusion against the disenfranchised is no big surprise here.

Speaking of finances, you may find today’s Images for Integration for Sun Sag-Moon Tau of interest: “A pirate ship searches for gold…An armchair traveller roughs out a financial plan for his next adventure.”

(Sun Sign-Moon Sign, Charles & Suzi Harvey.)

This blend is shared natally by the great John Milton who wrote the following which reminds me of a man sitting in a Victorian-era prison cell:

“A mind not to be changed by place or time.
The mind is its own place, and in itself
Can make a Heaven of Hell, a Hell of Heaven.”

D-Day and Astrology’s Weekend Forecast

You won’t want to miss Julie Demboski’s enlightening Weekend Forecast, I know, so check out what’s going on above our addled pates from one of the very best Astrology bloggers you’ll find on the web.

And with today’s 65th anniversary of D-Day and our president’s participation in the solemn observance in France, a few astrological details have been published at Stars Over Washington in a post which concerns the US Uranus Return’s link to the massive amphibious invasion on the beaches of Normandy, June 6, 1944.

Plus, you’ll find a few more Astrology notes on D-Day and America’s Uranus Return posted here as well.

And if you don’t mind, a new limerick in honor of D-Day has been posted at Lim’s Limericks with new kitten photo complimentary!

G20 Summit 2009: reversal of fortune?

Uh oh! After updating my post here on the Astrology of this week’s G20 Summit in London with the current transits of Pluto to the US and UK natal charts, I find that Julie Demboski has published her overview of this week’s Astrology – titled, ‘Reversal of Fortune” which I fret relates to the outcome of the economic Summit our president is attending.

The summit is the big  ‘plutonian’ event of the week as plutocrats assemble themselves in London from far and wide.

Read Julie’s excellent article which concerns your current personal conditions as well – she says that April 4 is the day to watch this week:

Her post highlights the Superior Conjunction occurring this evening (edt) of Sun and Mercury at 10Ari34 and if we round off the degree to check its Sabian Symbol, what word picture do we get for ’11Aries’?

“The President of the Country.”

Dane Rudhyar, in his book  ‘An Astrological Mandala”  gives this degree’s Keynote as: ‘The power resulting from the formal integration of the collective desire for order.’

And Power, in human form, calls itself to order in London this week…on our behalf? Or to further promote the designs of the New World Order?

Did you get Feb 2009’s forecast yet?

 Purple Pansies

It’s not too late, you know.

Besides, I was just wondering because there’s one available from Julie Demboski and it’s a marvel for its clarity and practical advice!

We earthlings remain in the midst of the Saturn-Uranus opposition (‘old’ vs ‘new’) which perfects for the second out of five times on Feb 5…or right now, depending on your time zone.

Julie adds the appropriate asteroids to the monthly picture for extra insights. All in all, her Feb 2009 forecast can’t hurt even if you don’t know a thing about Astrology (Julie writes in English, you’ll be pleased to hear), and her forecast for February (as well as other articles and essays – you’ll see them listed)  makes a fine and concise model for Astrology writers everywhere.

Now this. Is how. It should be done.

Jupiter to US natal Pluto and trouble with Ceres

As astrologer Julie Demboski points out, asteroid Ceres, the nurturing archetype of The Mother, is focal point in a Fist of God pattern with Vesta and Jupiter until Dec 28:

I hope everyone makes it home safely as issues of comfort food and interfering weather conditions abound.

Plus,  my squinty eye on Washington’s shenanigans has noticed that Jupiter is now stimulating America’s natal Pluto 27Cap33, exact Dec 25,  a time when resources increase along with resourcefulness. Someone will be achieving greater power and control, but we see who has already done so with Pluto 1Cap+ stimulating the Fed’s natal Sun.

And since Jupiter always expands what he touches, we think of nuclear energy when we think of Pluto, if we think of Pluto at all. (Just kidding, Mr. Hades – we think of you often even though scientists tried to remove you from the planetary pantheon and thus from our thoughts. Their ploy didn’t work,  so smooth down your dragon’s feathers, okay?)

Now other factors can destroy the positive energy of Jupiter to natal Pluto, and if I know Washington, things won’t be all good, at least not for the now-elusive common good. They keep cautioning us that improvements will take a while because it took years to get America into the messes in which she stews.

These were the same years that some people – journalists with consciences and bloggers galore – were saying, we’re getting into big messes, someone STOP these people. But few listened. The ones who could have turned the ship weren’t interested in doing anything but enabling the radical reformers with the tip of their iceberg, mouthpiece George Bush, catapultin’ the propaganda, as he so aptly described his job.

Now 2009 approaches and the script is:  it will take a while to pull our country out of the pit of loss and despair.

Well, yes. But will they pull us out? Or put us more in the thick of a totalitarian nanny state?

Guess if nuclear energy isn’t stimulated by this transit of Jupiter, we shall be happy to see the New Year and a new administration blow in with its opponents undermining it at every step in order to push some sort of weird Republicans Do It Better program of freakiness with more spun falsehoods on the bullet list.

Washington politics. You may not be interested in Washington politics. But it sure is interested in you.

Julie Demboski on the August Eclipses

For those who have asked me to do mini-readings on the effects of the August Eclipses on their Natal charts, I refer you to an excellent article on the subject by astrologer Julie Demboski:

And a political note: wonder where the hecklers were from who bedeviled Barack Obama in Florida? Were they dispatched or were they honest audience members?

What unaspected Uranus is up to

A planetary energy unaspected isn’t hooked into its surroundings and most people are aware that Uranus is disruptive, rebellious, and leads to unexpected happenings–even to lightening bolts from out of the blue.

Unaspected planets can ‘run away’ with things as they direct the play from behind the scenes; plus, eccentric Uranus can stir any pot to an explosive boil including the quake variety such as we’ve seen yesterday with an island off the coast of India (with strong after shocks today.)

Actually, “shock” is a word Uranus often conjures within our brains as we wish heartily that we could lasso this unruly, now unaspected, maverick! And politically the radical reformer may be busy putting secret plans into place in honor of our November presidential election, too…setting the fuse, ya might say.

So do let astrologer Julie Demboski inform you on general and personal terms some of the things our current unaspected Uranus in Pisces, sign of the Collective, is up to:

Thanks, Julie, I’m expecting the unexpected here!

Chiron and North Node in Aquarius

Have you been wondering about the meaning of the conjunction of Chiron, the Wounded Healer, with North Node, a joining point of destiny, and what it might have in store as they dance together in Aquarius?

So have I, so I scouted out a wonderful and enlightening article by Julie Demboski here:

The upcoming Mercury Retrograde period is a partner in the dance, so look to the involved areas in your chart to see how you’re affected in the healing and/or talent department, and let Julie explain the details!

Mercury Rx: May 26 (21Gem31);

Direct Station: June 19 (12Gem59);

Out of shadow period: July 4/5 (21Gem31.)

Because Mercury the Messenger travels so quickly, it will be forward-moving within a day of reaching 21Gem31 when Mercurial things (like election issues) can then proceed further into Gemini, one of its natural signs.

~The above dates and degrees are from an old fashioned ephemeris, the hard copy kind printed on paper and thus may not be as accurate as your Astrology software. I will get the exact dates and times today as I plan for an article on the subject relating to the presidential campaign and a certain candidate. jc
