Cat limericks Obama’s overseas tour

At last! Mr. A. Cat has gotten through to us at Lim’s Limericks with a freshly scratched limerick which seems to apply to Barack Obama’s recent overseas tour of presidentiness:

Blogging Cat limericks McCain!

Topaz shows Wiley how to snoop

Spycat in training? Here’s Topaz showing Wiley how to snoop…photo by Maya.

Yes, it’s true…Lim the political limerickster has written a new rhyme to be found here: http://limslimericks.blogspot.com/2008/02/cat-from-mccain.html  and I, Lim’s roommate, am only the typist, remember…

Feline Whereabouts Update: Mr.A.Cat, the original inspiration, bard, and muse of Lim’s Limericks, is still overseas on a tres secret mission. His imminent date of return is currently unknown, but you can still check out Lim’s political rhymeries written in honor of Mr.A.Cat, an agent formerly in service to our nation.

Where may he be? I don’t know and Lim won’t say. Waterboards won’t work on such a stalwart fellow as Lim–he’s seen it all before and has had excellent training, the rumor goes.

In fact, I’ve never laid eyes on the elusive Mr.A. and I confess with nary a prod: I don’t even know what the “A” stands for!

Years back our family lived with a beautful Turkish Van, aka the “swimming cat”–now there’s a fellow who would’ve been immune to waterboarding.

Sidebar Shout-Out: new Page, ‘Solar Eclipse Series: 2008 = 1990’ is up now if you’d like to mosey over to the Sidebar on your left….

cat writes limerick: Bush final SOTU

Princess Grace has reluctantly allowed me to post her short little limerick concerning tonight’s SOTU address: http://limslimericks.blogspot.com/2008/01/sotu-boo-hoo-12808.html

And you may see a black’n’white photo there of the lovely feline herself!

Are political poems allowed in America?

If so, I just perpetrated one and got away with it over at Lim’s Limericks…

Hope you like…it’s not a limerick but it’s all I got. Except for a lovely photo of Franc the Cat included for nuthin.’

And if you cast your gaze toward my sidebar here you’ll find a new Page concerning the August 11, 1999 Solar Eclipse which ushered in the much-touted New Millenium, such as it is…if you’re interested in such subjects.

Ahh, the Millenium…who can forget the Y2K rigmarole of fear? Guess they were priming the pump for the real deal.

Mr.A.Cat lims Goodling

If you’re a fan of the limerick and of the politics, mosey over to http://limslimericks.blogspot.com where I’ve just typed up the latest kitty ditty from Mr.A. Cat (formerly in service to our nation in some mysterious capacity which may never be fully divulged.) As you know, Monica Goodling, former Justice Dept/White House liason testified yesterday on Capitol Hill and her performance has received somewhat mixed reviews and was not quite the bombshell some expected. Or was it?  I doubt Mr.A. had too high a hope that our above-the-law White House would be fingered (or pawed, as Mr.A. would meow) but you may want to read Mr.A’s rhyme upon the matter all the same. He expressed private reservations that the immunity Goodling was granted for her testimony was what it purported itself to be…but Mr.A. is of a tres suspicious breed!

Above you see a close-up of Princess Grace as she appreciates the sentiments of Mr.A. Cat and wonders if you will, too. Sweet kitty!

~photo cred to my favorite photographer Maya.

note: WordPress isn’t picking up my edit on http://limslimericks.blogspot.com  above so I’m typing it again here–perhaps the updated link will be picked up eventually. Until then I assure you that Lim’s Limericks DOES exist and has not moved in spite of what you may hear…
