Nostradamus’ 1999 Prophecy
For now I’m only providing a link to Nostradamus’ text, the Century 10, Quatrain 72 concerning the Aug 11, 1999 Solar Eclipse, his ‘King of Terror’ Eclipse, sometimes called, ‘King of Alarm’ Eclipse.

And if you note a difference between Nostradamus’s date – “seventh month” – and ‘August 11’ it’s due to the calendar change from Julian to Gregorian when 10 days were dropped and some other fancy footwork was adopted to make things tally.
And the end of the quatrain?
It occurred to me during 2003’s Mars perigee (the red planet’s closest approach to Earth), when Mars hung over the streets of NYC to be exclaimed over by visually stunned New Yorkers sleeping outside because of a power outage, that this particular perigee visit from the ‘god of war’ could be the reference Nostradamus makes to “ruling before and after Mars.”

I have been researching Interpreters of the Prophercies of Nostradamus in a book that was printed in 1994 and they talk of 3 Antichrists, 1 Napoleon, 2 Hitler and the 3rd Unkown as the book was printed in 94 but the date predicted by Nostradamus is 1999 and said there will be an eclipse proceeding afterwards. George W. Bush announced he will seek the Republican Party nomination for President of the United States on the 12th of June 1999. A eclipse of the sun was visible on 11th of august 1999. This date is one of only 17 specific year identifications given by Nostradamus and he says as follows, In the year 1999 from the sky will come the great King of TERROR. He will bring to life the great King of the Mongrols. Before and after war reigns happily.

Yes, I have read the same things about Nostradamus’s predictions though I didn’t know there were precisely 17 that mention specific years.
About the Aug 11,. 1999 Solar Ecl @ 18Leo+.—one possible translation is ‘King of Alarm’ Eclipse and it has financial implications (as we’ve experienced–don’t need Astrology to tell us that.) And I confess my Old French isn’t what it (n)ever was so I’m passing along what I’ve read and if I could think where I read that translation, I’d tell you. Makes little matter though since both alarm and terror have been rained down upon us in the much-celebrated, oft-touted ‘New Millennium’ we heard so much about.
As part of the *inverse totalitarian process, perhaps you know of the 2 New North Series w its last Solar Ecl on July 31 2000 @ ‘8Leo’ (conjunct GWBush’s n Mercury, GOP’s n Mercury, too: ‘8Leo’ = “A Bolshevik Propagandist” in the Sabian Symbols)–this is the one I refer to as “The Tower” Eclipse and if you know what the Tarot card–16 The Tower–means you’ll have a perfect picture of the WTC buildings collapsing on 9/11/01, people jumping out of windows to the pavement below, and traumatic transformation (their “new Pearl Harbor” implying that the attacks on Pearl Harbor attacks were a set-up to take the US to war, too. It’s our emotions their propaganda has to play on.)
And is it ‘before and after Mars reigns happily”–just a minor point but Bush liked to refer to himself as interested in space travel to Mars and of course we know this ‘divider not uniter’ was obsessed w sending other people into war when he had illegally avoided it himself when it was his turn. He certainly may be seen as what you suggest yet I can’t forget that his actions while playing president were only part of a larger narrative of a false reality which has become more difficult to maintain. Next they’ll use magical effects to fool even the wary as they pillage the planet of all resources. Maybe that space ship to Mars awaits them….? Anyway, as for Bush Jr and Nostradamus’s prediction, I have related it as well to the perigee of Mars in Pisces 2003, the year of the Iraq invasion, and of course Pisces is a martial sign.

* I got that term from Chris Hedges concerning economics taking precedence over politics–totalitarianism refers to politicial totalitariniam–we have the inverted kind and I don’t know what people are wating for–to be at even more of a disadvantage than we are now before we take a stand? It’s the liberal class who have let US workers down most grievously. Morally bankrupt, you know. Amoral, like B. Clinton and B. Obama, says Mr. Hedges. And I am inclined to agree w him. Plus, there’s the fact that electoral politics and voting for Ds won’t make a hill of beans’ worth of difference to our predicament–the ruination of the working and middle classes and all the misery these reptiles intend to bring upon mankind.
Paraphrasing Chris Hedges again: the tolerant can no longer tolerate the intolerant. To think tolerance is helping anything is part of the illusion we’re mired in here in the US–and That’s Why we aren’t protesting in the streets but in dribs and drabs. So far. I recommend sit-ins.
