“What Happened to Humans?” (Max Igan video)

If you’ve ever visited my Political Astrology site once or twice you know I tend to embed there presentations by Max Igan rather frequently but this evening I thought his latest, “What Happened to Humans?”, would fit here quite nicely:

“Replace statute law with common law,” he says.

Now you may agree or disagree with all or none of the statements presented here but Max Igan will definitely make you think!

And if I might add one of my tiresome astro-political soapboxes, it’s the Pluto-Chiron duo of energies which loves nothing better than to exploit, disenfranchise, oppress, and brutalize humankind–and sadly such crimes are perpetrated by psychopathic ‘human beings’ who practice reptilianism of the cold-blooded kind.

So did I mention that Pluto-Chiron in Mundane Astrology is one of the signatures of plutocrats and Plutocracy? Thought so.

Ever read, Why Socialism? by Albert Einstein?

If you missed Why Socialism? by Albert Einstein, the May 1949 essay may have something important to say to us in 2011 especially given the horrendous state of our national institutions compliments of Wall Street and the Big Banks, national, and to some extent, local, politicians, and any other tentacle (or branch) of the global crime syndicate network that got the world into the financial and societal messes it’s in.

Astro-Note: several planetary factors and actors represent levels of class warfare/disenfranchisement/primal violence tactics used by Plutocracy in an Astrology map, but it’s the duo of Pluto with Chiron that says it all in one neat package. The last time they met in Great Conjunction was on Dec 30, 1999 @ 11Sag23; prior to that, another important meeting took place on May 21, 1884 @ 29Tau31. There are many things to be said about both hook-ups as they relate to societal and financial conditions, then and now. I hope eventually to have a chance to discuss the Pluto/Chiron topic with you more fully.

As for Socialism, a discussion on the Saturn (government; authority; management) and Neptune (secret; hidden; the masses; the media; propaganda; oil, gas, and water) combination of planetary energies would be of interest as well for together they may signify Socialism and/or Communism.

Obama’s natal Chiron and The Bridge

As you may know, Chiron’s position in the natal chart of President Barack Obama @ 5Pis19 Rx (in 1st house of Self) indicates that his Chiron Return is upcoming now that transiting Chiron has entered Pisces, and it will be a doozy of a time with five hits, as listed below.

And since Astrology terms Chiron ‘The Bridge’ between Saturn (the past) and Uranus (the future), the bridge analogy is a perfect title and concept for a book on Mr. Obama as The Bridge, a book that ‘all of Washington’ is said to be reading these days. Or at least, I heard recently on C-SPAN that ‘everyone’ is reading it.

Chiron the Centaur: half man/half beast, a catalyst linking earthly and spiritual natures into something entirely new and different:

Uniting past with future is the ‘be here now’ admonition of astrological Chiron, a celestial body discovered in November 1977, and which will experience its own ‘Return’ to discovery degree (3Tau08) three times in the years 2027 and 2028. Above you see my fanciful illustration of Chiron’s Return on a mystical night.

Plus, you’ll remember that on Election Day 2008, Saturn (past; tradition) and Uranus (future; progress) were exactly opposing one another as in the news and in Astrology discussions we heard debates on which planet represented Mr. Obama! Is he status quo or radical reformer? they asked. With his natal Saturn in its own sign of Capricorn, I suspected he was a mixture of both – but with leanings toward the status quo. His 1st house Chiron is where these principles meet…or collide.

In its approximate 50/51-year cycle, Chiron returns to natal position around the age of 50. Here are the dates of the Chiron Return/s of President Obama:

1. May 21, 2011
2. June 27, 2011 Rx
3. Feb 26, 2012
4. Oct 19, 2012 Rx
5. Dec 10, 2012 (oh-so-near the end of the Mayan Calendar!)

Oh, and I should mention that the president was born during a Chiron/Pluto opposition which relates on one level to plutonic, atomic, or nuclear structures. Barbara Hand Clow says that Chiron opposite Pluto gives ‘full expression’ to both bodies as Pluto probes the depths of the subconscious mind and Chiron “continually brings in the higher self to keep Pluto going.”

Clow also states in her book ‘Chiron: Rainbow Bridge Between the Inner and Outer Planets’ that Chiron and Pluto ‘like working together’ and that their opposition indicates one who is “incapable of leading a simple or trivial life.”

Hmmm…’Rainbow Bridge’ sounds a little like the civil-rights-inspired Rainbow Coalition, doesn’t it? And if I had to guess who fulfills the guru function in the president’ s life these days (Chiron in 1st house in mystical Pisces), it would be VP Joe Biden.

Well, given his rise from obscurity to his subsequent residency in the White House, I suspect ‘The Bridge’ might agree with such an assessment of President Barack Obama.

‘Noon’ is a speculative time but Jan 1, 1804 is the date of Haiti’s slave uprising when independence was declared from France at Gonaives, Haiti, and France lost control of its most lucrative colony.

As I dash out the door I’m publishing this for future reference but some details are marked and highlighted (click to enlarge, if you wish.)

Lower right are the dates of Haiti’s current Saturn Return occurring three times: Dec 7, 2009, Feb 19, 2010, and Aug 25, 2010. The position of natal Saturn 3Lib27 may be off a minute depending on the correct hour/minute of their successful revolution so Saturn’s Return dates may vary slightly (by hour, probably not by date.)

Highlighted in green around the chart I’ve marked a few planetary positions for Jan 19, 2010. Pluto 3Cap58 is now conjunct natal Mars, as you see, with n Chiron 4Cap40 affected as well. ‘Pluto/Chiron’ is a significator for plutocracy, racism, enslavement, oppression, corporatism, primal violence, and other nasty things that greedy minds can devise to disenfranchise their fellow man.

Today’s Sun at a 29th critical or crisis degree conjunct natal Venus 29Cap26, and Mars 13Leo46 Rx is messing about with natal South Node (SN), a marker for violence and war.

As you know, Mars will be traversing Leo for several more weeks and the current increase of US troops to Haiti is described here – for what ultimate purposes our military is being deployed there remains to be seen…”disaster capitalism” comes to mind. (Naomi Klein’s warning.)

And of course, tr Pluto conjunct n Mars and Chiron tells a forceful strong-armed tale as well.

Haiti’s natal Pluto/Chiron midpoint 5AQ36 conjoins n Ceres – interesting to me because America declared independence under the same configuration — n Pluto/Chiron = n Ceres. (Ceres was discovered on Jan 1, 1801, the day that the UK formed when Ireland joined Great Britain.) Ceres relates to agriculture (sugar, indigo, tobacco, etc of Haiti slave labor) and Pluto/Chiron = France, and whoever else profitted from their slavery.

Historically interesting is the fact that Haiti’s Plu/Chiron conjuncts US n SN which points a plutocratic finger at America, and we know that (shamefully) President George Washington and Secretary of State Thomas Jefferson sided with France and Napoleon in the slave uprising.

The island nation’s natal Mars/Chiron conjunction is the archetype of the ‘sacred warrior’.

Wall Street will fleece you now

The Looting of America, an article by Barry Grey (4.10.09), details some of what I’ve been saying about the risk of joining in with 2009’s Great Conjunction/s of Jupiter and Neptune, the speculator pair, and how they will conjunct US natal Moon (the people; the public – Sibly chart) all three times they meet.

Jupiter-Neptune = Moon: losing oneself in plans; becoming involved in speculation; instability; wastefulness; little sense of reality; going with the wind; an emotional swoon. (Tyl; Ebertin.)

Once again, here are the dates and degrees of their exact conjunctions, all in 2009:

1. May 27 – 26AQ29;

2. July 10 – 26AQ02;

3. Dec 21 – 24AQ19.

Their cycle is approximately 13 years long, so the last time The Speculators met was on Jan 9, 1997 (during Pres. Clinton’s de-regulation days) at 27Cap09 – conjunct US natal Pluto.

Jupiter-Neptune = Pluto: self-projection out of hand; major adjustment of life circumstances; far-reaching speculations; plans that are unreasonable beyond measure; a great loss.

Excess liquidity in markets is their calling card!

Now we’re seeing and experiencing where the 1997 conjunction led while the transiting midpoint of Pluto-Chiron, the corporatism/class warfare/disenfranchising duo, has landed upon US natal Pluto – and thus upon 1997’s Jupiter-Neptune conjunction degree.

So if you’re one of those “small investors” that Wall Street and the Treasury Dept now have within their raptor’s gazes and you’re feeling ripe for further fleecing (see article), please think twice and then some before you ‘go with the wind’ of Jupiter-Neptune’s grandly speculative ways for the win-win is always on the upper class’ side.

Senator Baucus holds the healthcare keys – G20 Summit 2009

With Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner touting on TV’s political shows this morning, I have just enough time to tell you that New York’s Robert Ellman has written an excellent article on why he’s holding Democratic feet to the fire even though he votes for them and voted for Barack Obama last November.

But that’s not all you get in one post with Rob who details health care legislation’s chances in Congress with Sen. Max Baucus (D-Montana) holding the keys of power as Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, and the rhetorical platitudes Baucus has used to hide his true intent – keeping the medical industry complex’s grip on the regular American’s wallet.

In my astrological neighborhood, it’s called ‘class warfare of Pluto-Chiron’ and is a symptom of a plutocracy working to keep its claws on the helm of power. I assert that 2008’s financial meltdown was the elite class holding us hostage to our fears and using our bank accounts as ransom for a high-jacked, failed banking system that they built, then crashed so that a ‘new system’ would be called for.

The G20 Summit in London this week may tell some of the tale concerning the US dollar’s destiny – and our own. But it all depends on what the wheeler-dealers behind the scene have up their magicians’ sleeves…and it’s more than a wrinkled old arm. 

It will be interesting to hear the scripts that come out of the meetings as delivered by Pres. Obama and others – will their words ring out above violent protests? Will protests become violent in part by secret instigators working on behalf of the Rothschilds and Rockefellers?

Rome, Berlin, Paris, and London have seen protests this weekend ahead of the Summit. Europeans are angry about spiralling inequality and most are blaming America’s greed and corruption for the world’s financial problems. It’s not been a lack of liquidity, but too much money (printed by unaccountable-to-the- public central banks) being too cheap that’s caused problems and we-the-people aren’t the ones who over-printed! We’re all victims here.

And like many people, I am not pleased for the most part with the president’s choice of economic team which has too many of the players from Clinton days (and before.)

So holding Democrats in power to a populist standard isn’t a bad thing, it’s the only thing the underclass can do if it values its very existence. And by ‘underclass’ I mean anyone not of the self-exalted, hubristically inclined super-rich ‘power elite.’

Now if you’ve read this far, I know you’ll believe me when I say that Mr. Ellman explains it better here:

So once again, in the form of Max Baucus and his colleagues, we may say that on Capitol Hill corporate donations speak much louder than we-the-people — they drown us out, in fact — and Mr. Ellman is no happier with the condition than this gnat of a blogger who can’t say it nearly as eloquently as he.

Well, is Mr. Obama really moving the US government to the ‘left’ as some have charged? Apparently he should be since he was elected to do just that on behalf of the majority of we-the-people.

And who doesn’t fondly remember through 8 years of the Bush-Cheney adminstration the oft-repeated mantra of  ‘compassionate conservatives’ when faced with the prospect of being their brother’s keeper?  “All through your life, you made choices,” they intoned from their smug, high horses.

Translation: you’re on your own, sucker. I got mine. You get yours.

Horoscope of the New Millennium 2001

New Millennium, Jan 1, 2001, 12:00 am est, Washington, DC.

With Venus (values; money; relationships) as chart-ruler, the world entered the New Millennium of the 21st century. My usual emphasis is on America and Washington, DC as representative for our nation, so this chart is set to show Washington’s ‘world leadership’ such as it may be as we go forward into this new century.

On a personal level, if you have natal placements within a 2 degree orb of these planets or points, you may find clues within the chart concerning new successes you may gain through development of the talents signified by the aspected planet’s energy as it relates to your nature.

Venus as chart-ruler is posited in the 5th house of Risk-Taking, Gambling, and Creative Pursuits and has only one applying aspect: a square to Jupiter (2Gem10 Rx in 8th house of Shared Resources – 4A59.)

A Venus-Jupiter square indicates deception to gain attention, indulgence and inattention to responsibilities, defensiveness, and exaggerated plans for the future.

Venus-Jupiter from 5th house to 8th house we may infer that this is one of the chart’s indicators of financial greed, taking stupid chances, and fiscal irresponsibility. Venus also rules the 8th house of Debt, Credit, Insurance, and Corporate monies of the Taurean (greedy) kind.

But the closest aspect in the chart is the Mars-Neptune square (0A16), an aspect that echoes the Mars-Neptune square in America’s natal chart (July 4, 1776) so the following relates natally to the US.

With Mars SQ Neptune, it’s difficult to be assertive without causing turmoil. There is fluctuation between intense desire for action (Mars) and complete apathy (Neptune.) When things go badly there’s a tendency to blame others in order to deflect criticism; a proneness toward lowering relationship standards attracts negativity; plans toward control of others should leave nothing to chance.

With this difficult square of energies, it’s hard to accept the reality of our own motives or to even ‘see’ them – disappointments cause bitterness and resentment but others are not the to blame…the fault is in ourselves and our confused motivations which cause others to mistrust us.

Mars-Neptune (with deceptive, dissolving Neptune in 4th house of Home) shows the mortgage and housing crises ongoing with Mars (loan officers making mega-bucks off unstable mortgages and the bosses who encouraged them.)

As you see, Venus 27AQ12 is conjunct US natal Moon (the people) which indicates an amiable and sociable time (New Millennnium celebrations galore!), yet we know the 21st century has brought many difficult events and circumstances into everyone’s lives (except for the select few who pull the strings and live high on the hog.)

Negatively (as it turns out), the Venus-to-Moon transit does indicate a tendency to rely on intuition and inspiration rather than on the cold, hard facts.

Around the chart I have added natal positions from the US chart but with an exception – I neglected to add US natal Mercury Rx ’25Can’ a degree whose SabianSymbol fascinates me…”A Man Wrapped in an Invisible Mantle of Power” which I tend to  believe relates to our secret or shadow government and to America’s Great Seal which some think was brought to us by Illuminati founder Adam Weishaupt with its obverse ‘All-Seeing Eye’ of surveillance.

In any case, US natal Mercury is the very visible 10th house of Public Standing/Career in the New Millennium. Perhaps our nation’s much-touted ‘Manifest Destiny’ is leading the way through natal Mercury’s influence – and the satellites surveilling us all as I type. 

North Node 15Can31 is in 10th house as well opposite the New Millennium’s Mercury 14Cap367 conjunct South Node showing humanity’s already developed mental abilities ready to be directed into the 10th house of the Wider World.

Mercury conj SN = ideas either ahead or behind the times and one may have difficulty gaining support for them. Positively, it shows much originality of thought. Yet feeling mentally alone is a pitfall of the new era, a problem which many people experience as we pseudo-connect online in an attempt to offset the loneliness of modern life.

Venus square Saturn supports alienation and relating difficulties.

Sun in Capricorn likes to manage and be in charge…Sun = adult personality, Capricorn = the father archetype. Perhaps a father complex is closer to the truth. This Sun makes no applying aspects which strengthens its sign and house position with Domestic Concerns (4th house) of our ‘Ownership Society’ (as George Bush put it) being highlighted (Sun) along with 4/10 Security Issues and Secret (Ic) Control (Capricorn.)

Money sign Taurus on the 8th cusp opposite Mars 5Sco03 in 2nd house (and Scorpio’s traditional ruler)  indicates motivation toward financial activities with societal planets Jupiter 2Gem10 Rx and Saturn 24Tau35 Rx (8thhouse)  fairly fresh from their Great Conjunction of May 28, 2000 (’23Tau’ = “A Jewelry Shop Filled with the Most Magificent Gems”) and affecting 8th house money matters particularly by way of our political parties (Jup = Rs; Sat = Ds. The 20-year cycle of Jupiter-Saturn relates to money and stock market cycles, as you know. Their clock ‘started over’ on May 28, 2000.)

Jupiter and Saturn are the only planets above the horizon and in 8thhouse, they show that corporations will continue to exist but with restructuring transformations.

And now that Pluto has moved into Capricorn, sign of Saturnian structures, this has become imperative. (Breaking up giant monopolies would be okay by me – and we’ve been down this anti-social path before…how soon we forget!)

Asteroid Persephone (‘transition’) conjuncts Midheaven(Aspirations) opposite Icarus (‘risk-taking; flight; assassination’) at Ic, the Foundation or Drain of the chart.

This may be one picture of the attacks of 9.11.01 against US authority and financial businesses (Cancer), and/or with the aspiration of transitioning our nation into what it’s become under the Bush-Cheney administration.  (As mentioned, Pluto was conjunct US natal Ascendant on 9.11.01 = permanent transformation, a long time coming due to Pluto’s slow-pokiness.)

Neptune 5AQ20 is conjunct US natal SN, a conjunction indicating America’s lack of popularity through being out of tune with the environment. 

Mercury conj SN plays into this unpopularity along with the Venus-Saturn square which is separating, therefore unconscious. (Not that America is the only one – we just brag a lot, overcompensate, and project…looking-for-enemies-r-us.)

(And with Mercury out-of-bounds, I suspect the original, futuristic ideas come from we know not where but from people not within our usual orbits.)

Intrigue and unfortunate circumstances cause pilfering of things we’ve worked hard on for a long time with Neptune-SN, but working out spiritual purposes under very difficult conditions is the cloud-with-eventual-silver-lining flavor of this conjunction. This makes right actions and upright motives ‘musts’ for true success (oops!)

As you see, I’ve marked the Sabian Symbol for Mars – ‘6Sco’ = ” A Gold Rush.” Speaks for itself, don’t you think? Scorpio is the sign of stocks, bonds, and big business. And if I had typed this pre-2008, few might have agreed with me on the many money issues found in this chart!

So there in 3rd house of Communications we find Pluto 13Sag47 (conj US natal ASC as the ‘old dragon guarding the riches’ was on 9.11.01) and Chiron 22Sag33. They’re fresh from their Great Conj of Dec 30, 1999  (conj US n ASC at ’12Sag’ = “A Flag That Turns into an Eagle That Crows”) and together this pair of energies signify oppression, corporatism, racism, women’s suffrage, disenfranchisement, primal violence, fascism, andother -isms which only the ‘power elite’ seem to be fond of because they suit and promote their totalitarian purposes of control.

I’ve notated on the chart, Pluto-Chiron’s parallel of mid-August 2004. Planets in parallel act much like a strong conjunction and it’s one of Astrology’s useful timing devices. And since they are placed in 3rd house, I believe propaganda is a major part of the “crowing” of ’12Sag.’

Moon 21Pis14 in 6th house of Work, Service, and Health shows a populace in need of Piscean things such as spiritual standards, compassionate giving, and being our brother’s keeper. The Golden Rule never goes out of style, just out of our hearts – and humanity can only benefit from putting it back.

The previously mentioned Mars-Neptune SQ is a clue toward these spiritual needs since Neptune is associated with the sign of Pisces (personally I use Jupiter as its ruler, and Neptune as a higher octave influence.)

Fluctuations (Moon) in work environments and jobs are indicated here, too, and with confusing conditions including dissolution (Pisces-Neptune.) Changes in healthcare – or the sacrifice of it – are reflected as well.

I have yet to mention the ‘erratic and indulgent with money’ wide conjunction of Venus and Uranus in 5th house of Risk-Taking. Guess everyone knows where that energy has gone so far.

Yet new and original works of Art are positive 5th house manifestations here with the possibility of becoming famous (Moon) in America (Venus conj US n Moon.)

Well, of course, there’s more to be read in this chart, but I’m going to mosey for now and add to this post if and when I am so inspired. McCain the Herbert Hoover

The presidency of Herbert Hoover was before my time but I do remember the disdain in their voices whenever my parents spoke of him because of his connection to the Great Depression.

With America seemingly in a Greater Depression, Hoover’s name is coming up frequently of late being invoked by certain presidential candidates like a boogeyman so I took a peek at Hoover’s Inauguration Day, March 4, 1929.

Hoover, as you know, followed Calvin Coolidge’s two terms and was trounced in 1933, by Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
