Naturalist Alexander von Humboldt forgotten!

Consider my eyes opened! Most everyone has heard of naturalist Alexander von Humboldt–usually referred to as ‘Humboldt’–but if you’re like me you had no idea of his impact and that some people consider him more influential than Charles Darwin!

During his career Herr Humboldt (1769 – 1859, Berlin) met with two US presidents: Thomas Jefferson (a scientist himself) and James Madison. Wonder if there’s a record of what they discussed!

“What Happened to Humans?” (Max Igan video)

If you’ve ever visited my Political Astrology site once or twice you know I tend to embed there presentations by Max Igan rather frequently but this evening I thought his latest, “What Happened to Humans?”, would fit here quite nicely:

“Replace statute law with common law,” he says.

Now you may agree or disagree with all or none of the statements presented here but Max Igan will definitely make you think!

And if I might add one of my tiresome astro-political soapboxes, it’s the Pluto-Chiron duo of energies which loves nothing better than to exploit, disenfranchise, oppress, and brutalize humankind–and sadly such crimes are perpetrated by psychopathic ‘human beings’ who practice reptilianism of the cold-blooded kind.

So did I mention that Pluto-Chiron in Mundane Astrology is one of the signatures of plutocrats and Plutocracy? Thought so.

Measuring Radiation in Tokyo brings mysterious death

Fukushima Diary reports on the story of Mr. Kabayama, a Tokyo city counselor and memeber of the Liberal Democratic Party, who posted a radiation measurement to his blog on June 30, 2011, and was found dead by his family on July 1, 2011–with a plastic bag covering his head.

Police are said to have ruled the death of the inconvenient Mr. Kabayama as a “suicide” which beggers belief, imho. Ever heard of someone committing suicide by such a method?

Since the time he was discovered is mentioned–3 am–I had a peek at the planets of July 1, 2011, Tokyo, 3 am, and found a difficult midpoint picture in force which involves the saboteur-assassin planet of plutonium-nuclear fame, Pluto:

Sun-Pluto = Saturn: ruthless overcoming of obstacles; physical impediment; restriction (of air to breathe–jc); separation. (Ebertin); a potential for fanatical ventures (Munkasey.)

As always with midpoint pictures, any, all, or none of the above may apply concerning the sad event of July 1, 2011–the day of a Solar Eclipse in Cancer, a Water sign of tides and oceans.

Here’s something I wrote prior to the July 2011 eclipse on my Political Astrology blog concerning the eclipse degree’s Sabian Symbol:

Solar Eclipse, July 1, 2011 (which Celeste Teal has labeled the “Democratic Spirit” eclipse) @ ‘9Can12’ = ‘9Can’ = “A Small Naked Girl Bends Over a Pond to Catch a Fish”; ‘Keynote: The first naive quest for knowledge and for an ever-elusive understanding of life.

“Small naked girl” = ‘the innocent and spontaneous mind, as yet unclothed in cultural patterns and unrestrained by don’ts, trying to satisfy its curiosity about what seems mysterious and fleeting. …The key here is PURITY IN UNDERSTANDING.’

My conclusion is that Mr. Kabayama was satisfying his curiosity about the true radiation levels around Tokyo and his untimely death indicates that someone didn’t want the measurements to be known.

More notes on the July 1, 2011 Solar Eclipse

What’s so special about the sign of The Crab, Cancer? That it is Moon-ruled, self-protective, and canny in business? Home-loving, family-oriented, Mom-hugging, and a little psychic?

With the current June 1, 2011 Solar Eclipse @11Gem02 in force but followed very soon by a Solar Eclipse on July 1, 2011 (America’s early birthday present since it manifests between our nation’s Sun and Jupiter and 3 days prior to July 4th – it’s the first in a new Saros Series!), what factors will be emphasized by its double Cancer message?

If you have natal planets or points within 2 degrees either side of 9Can12, this eclipse will directly affect your your chart on some level but the nearer the orb, the more noticeable the eclipse energy.

Also involved are any opposite planets/points around 7 to 11 Capricorn (relationships may be affected, also a new awareness may dawn), and if you care to widen your Cancerian fishing net further, also consider the squaring degrees and sextiling/trining degrees: 7 to 11 Aries/Libra, and 7 to 11 Virgo/Pisces. The opposing (Cap) and squaring (Ari/Lib) signs are the strongest with the conjunction in Cancer the strongest of all.

Eclipses falling in Tropical Cancer tend to bring up such issues as feelings and emotions, receptivity, imagination, nurturing (and its evil twins, abuse or neglect), deep attachments, and habits that fulfill emotional needs.

And since Cancer and the Moon both are prone to ‘soaking up’ the energy of whatever planet/s they are linked to, any planets in aspect to the eclipse are particularly important and may exhibit a sort of celestial tofu effect.

Naturally with Cancer, concerns about water, flooding, and marine issues may well be tops on the July 1, 2011 eclipse’s agenda for manifestation as well. Sadly, our country is already seeing these effects playing out in the Midwest with the Mississppi and Missouri Rivers overflowing. And with transiting Pluto, planet of atomic power, opposing the July eclipse, we think instantly of the current flooding threats to the Fort Calhoun Nuclear Power Planet in Nebraska, a new disaster since early Sunday morning’s breach.

For a little Astrology on the topic, you may wish to see this morning’s Fort Calhoun Nuclear Breach: Neptune to US Moon? post.

Other Cancerians issues the July 1st eclipse may bring to the surface include food or food supplies, dietary factors, emotional hurts, environmental matters, genealogical information, Real Estate, the Homeland, national and personal security, women’s and children’s issues (such as the SCOTUS decision handed down today about violent video games being “OK” for kids! Eclipses can act early, plus, we’re still under the rays of the June 1st eclipse with Gemini, the sign of young people), and karmic family or other close ties. Joining societies or other organizations may come up for consideration or review as well.

Yes, it’s quite rare for two Solar Eclipses to occur just one month apart and perhaps you’ve been feeling a special, intuitive, or spiritualized shift of energy since June 2011 began for we are now in a window of cosmic eclipse energy which included the June 15, 2011 Lunar Eclipse @ 24Sag23.
Near Athens, Georgia, June 15th was a night of tremendous thunderstorms and high winds with some areas experiencing hail. Such is the pull of Earth’s Moon which rules the tides!

Now if you’d like to check out the July 1, 2011 Solar Eclipse from a more political p.o.v., try Stars Over Washington, my Political Astrology site with a common good slant, where you can view the July 1st horoscope set for Washington DC, and see the restrictive Grand Cross pattern which the chart contains.

Brits angry not at BP – at Obama!

With their lovely coastlines safe from BP oil harm, our Brit cousins are angry at the toll the BP Oil disaster is taking on their pocketbooks and pensions as they pay the price for investing in BP – and they’re blaming President Obama.

May I assume that BP shareholders and other investors had no say in how wild an enterprise BP could engage in? It probably would have made no difference if they’d objected.

However, you take your chance, you just might lose! Even if you’re accustomed to winning, losing just may happen when you’re gambling with money.

Will this turn out to be American Revolution v2?

Could Brit anger be an early expression of the July 11, 2010 Solar Eclipse @ 19Can24…precisely conjunct the UK’s natal Moon (the public) in 10th house, conjunct difficult Fixed Star, Castor?

BP tapping oil leak not capping

Update May 31 4:25 pm edt: Rep. Ed Markey has a few remarks concerning BP’s claims of ‘no plumes’. BP is acting crazy, right?

But you know, Politics: anything to divert public attention while continuing the transfer of all wealth into select power elite piggybanks!

Original post begins here:

As you may have noticed, BP has been unsuccessful in capping the Gulf oil leak/s. They led us on for days about the ‘Top Kill’ method only to dash our hopes (though I confess I had none and felt we were being shined on.)

With the lies BP has been caught in, its credibility (if indeed the corporate monster had any pre-April 20) has been lost so when they say, ‘Oops, the method didn’t work, it’s still leaking!’ we are witnessing a case of tapping billions of dollars worth of oil that can be sold as crude rather than stopping this environmental disaster.

Why should BP care about an American coastline or its inhabitants?

Well, folks living in the Gulf region have experience working for BP and for other oil companies and they have a few things to say about the situation: BP is tapping, not capping.

Plume shown in cam not only massive oil leak

Turns out there’s another massive oil leak about 5 or 6 miles from the one we’ve watched on BP’s plume cam.

(Plume cam can be found by following its link in my previous post.)

BP plume monitoring cam

Re: BP-Gulf oil spill, aka, ‘Deepwater Horizon blowout’ is having its plume monitored and the cam footage is almost hypnotizing to watch even if it isn’t quite in real time.

And someone probably expected that it would be. They were correct.

With the breaking news about an hour or so ago (NPR) that the ‘Top Kill’ method of throwing mud at the problem of the gash has begun to be tried by BPers today, the plume monitoring cam was what I ended up being mesmerized by as I tottled around the interweb.

And on Monday I surprised myself by being mesmerized for a moment or two by an Art Film short I put together for my Dreamyfish Art pals, BP-Gulf oil spill: a fish’s plea.

Also published are the Horoscopes of Mexico and the BP-Gulf oil spill if you wish to check them out.

Chart details are included. Your opinions are invited.

Must hurry away since Georgia Power has informed us just now that another power outage is due this afternoon – I almost lost this post in the last one a while ago. Planet Uranus of electricity fame is now approaching the Aries Point of Fame, Prominence, and World Manifestation.

My hope for everyone is that massive power outages are not an AP expression of disruptive Uranus’ lightening impulses and radical reformist tendencies. As you know, the sign Aries and the AP are ruled by Mars and you also know how wildly combustible Mars/Uranus energies can be when they’re blended into social ‘dynamite’.

Be safe, my friends. And let’s keep the lights on for one another.

Was the Gulf oil spill meant to sabotage the Gulf?

Update May 19, 2010: here is an interesting link to How to Cement an Oil Well Under Deep Water which Halliburton had the task of doing just before the blowout of April 20. This update probably belongs in my previous post about how ‘I knew it was You, Halliburton’ but I’m posting it here instead.

Original post begins here:

From the start of the Gulf oil catastrophe on April 20, 2010, I have had a sneaky suspicion that there are intentional culprits lurking in the background. Perhaps it’s my suspicious nature which works well with Astrology studies or perhaps it’s my Spidey sense that seldom meets a corporation it trusts.

Turns out I’m not the only one wondering about the possibility of stealthy, planned corporate destruction of the Gulf region of our country especially after the limp response to the destruction of Hurricane Katrina and its sorry aftermath of formaldehyde trailers to finish off survivors, and other ineffective, more-harm-than-good actions taken by the Bush administration (who never met a corporation it didn’t trust.)

And although New Orleans will never be the same, I say Kudos for coming back as well as they have which is a testiment to the spirit of the people of a region now being shafted by big industry once again.

“Legitimate” claims will be paid, says BP, which is what’s called ‘setting up a legal loophole’ around these parts.

We’ll see if the US Congress raises the cap on corporate payouts for the massive amounts of harm they do to people’s livelihoods and the environment when they’re out there taking huge risks with other people’s lives and fortunes.
