iPhone snags voting booth irregularity

(NewsNet5) – “Everytime I hit the Boccieri button on the touch screen, it activated the button for Boccieri’s opponent listed above his name on the ballot,” Sanderson said. “I couldn’t believe this was happening, so I decided to record the incident on my iPhone.” #

Here’s the rest of the November 2 story from Akron, Ohio which contains the YouTube video showing the actual event.

Our Buyers’ Remorse midterms: Venus Rx

Thanks to the excellent sleuthing capabilities of astrologer John Townley, a broader picture emerges concerning the ‘buyers’ remorse’ effect so prevalent from this and previously seen midterm election results.

Allow John to explain about our early November elections having Venus retrograde, a clear signature of ‘buyers’ remorse’!

Prevailing wisdom is to Never Buy Anything Important when Venus is Rx – and that apparently goes for politicians. Thing is, Venus was Rx during the 2010 Nov midterms – so which newly-electeds will we wish we could return (Rx) as defective?

Heads-Up for those who wish to view the Winter Solstice 2010 Horoscope just published with chart details at
Stars Over Washington; Venus will be Direct by then but still moving through Scorpio and nearly at the Eagle Point (15 Sco.)

Christine O’Donnell won’t show face on Face the Nation

Daily Kos has noted FTN host Bob Sheiffer’s tweet disclosing that Christine O’Donnell has backed out of her scheduled Face the Nation interview this Sunday. Quelle disappointment!

Perhaps O’Donnell wishes to avoid questions concerning some interesting tidbits now revealed (actually, remembered) concerning her past witchcraft dalliances which aren’t ready to be faced on the public airwaves during a campaign.

No surprise: US census reveals poverty up

Census Reveals 45 Million Americans Living in Poverty

By Daily Mail

One in seven Americans is living below the poverty line, the US census figures reflect the worst decline in worst decline in living standards for more than half a century.

It took decades of greed by the wealthy class to skew the gap between rich and poor even more in their favor, but I have to say that it took only eight years of Bush-Cheney policies to tip our nation into third-world status – lest the GOP forget that Financial Collapse 2008 occurred on Bush’s watch.

Now Republicans want to extend the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans! For the GOP, it seems that sometimes America’s astronomical deficit matters (ex: extending unemployment benefits when there are few jobs to be found, and funding other programs for lesser endowed citizens), but when it comes to an extra bonus for millionaires and billionaires, their deficit concerns evaporate into that thin and precious air they breathe.

Reminds me of a famous quote by
Henry Brooks Adams
, great-great-grandson of John Adams (yet Henry is known for his anti-semitism):

“Politics, as a practice, whatever its professions, has always been the systematic organisation of hatreds.”

In more ways than one as both Ds and Rs use divide-and-conquer tactics against the citizenry in order to keep their cushy Capitol Hill jobs and powerful positions. And though I mistrust the Tea Party’s being funded by the corporate Koch brothers, I exult in how Tea Partisans have managed to ruffle GOP feathers!

Has Sharron Angle’s lead over Reid dwindled?

Sharron Angle came out all sparkly and sassy against incumbent Democratic Senator Harry Reid but a series of gaffes and bad ideas have caused Angle’s lead to dwindle.

Don’t know about you but abolishing the Social Security Administration seems one of the dafter ideas I’ve heard in this difficult economic climate especially since it’s worked so well for decades. But I guess Mr. Reagan would sit up and applaud in his grave if the coldhearted among us ever manage to collapse it (and they’ve been working on it and other programs assiduously, I know.)

So for Angle will falling poll numbers represent a ‘roller coaster’ ride of a senatorial campaign – or shades of a Reid victory to come?

Read a few brief notes on Sharron Angle’s natal chart if you wish…and don’t fret: they’re written in English in case you don’t speak astrologese. Or even if you do.

Isn’t It Rich? New Democrat Coalition in Bed w Wall St

When it comes to financial reform in America, derivatives will be in no danger of regulation or oversight if the New Democrat Coalition members in Congress join Republicans to block or vote against legislation on behalf of their Sugar Daddies on Wall Street.

Wonder who gets to fluff their silky pillows on the bedside by the panoramic Pent House window? It’s prime real estate because I think that’s the spot where the remote control nestles, too…and it’s powerful enough to reach from NYC to DC.

“There are two lasting bequests we can give our children: One is roots, the other is wings.” Teaching children values and giving them the opportunity to excel is essential to good parenting. However, I feel I must also provide my children (and myself) insight into the ones who came before us: our ancestors whose lives and stories have shaped us into who we are. This is my journey; these are their stories…
