Over 53% of our tax dollars go to War

Tax Day, April 15, is upon us with a vengeance and it’s not comforting to know that most of our funds go to fighting perpetual war bwo the Pentagon.

Especially with US schools, post offices, and court rooms closing for lack of funds! Either we-the-people are mad as hatters or the US government is trying to drive us in that direction while totally clearing out the US Treasury in the process.

As I groused repeatedly about the Bush-Cheney regime’s invasion of Iraq in 2003: with Jupiter the General retrograde at the time, the war would be a bottomless pit in the money department…was I wrong?

Well, this is a definite case of ‘sometimes you just don’t want to be right’.

And I stand by my opinion: Bush-Cheney didn’t go to war in Iraq or in Afghanistan in order to end terrorism – they invaded the Middle East on a misguided mission to promote it. And we see years later how the entire world is paying the price.

  1. Thank you, Al, i’m only a maternal (if reluctant) astrologer here, a blogging gnat, and dissenting American! ;p

Yes, i think that some of the tea party shenanigans have been set up by those who’ll do anything to undermine a Dem White House, and much of the rest is diversionary tactics – and i always remind myself, when politicians and their minions say, Look Here! – that it’s wiser to look in the opposite direction.

Actually, the difficult Cardinal Cross of planets appears in one of its manifestations in the Summer Solstice 2010 horoscope which I have just linked to in my last post here at J’s T – perhaps you can pick it up and view the chart though it’s only Part I, with more details to come…but i do confess i have so far avoided many Israeli-Palestinian references concerning the Cardinal Cross, for i assume that, at the least, most people know that Saturn and Uranus will oppose one another again, the 2 planets that together signify the Middle East, as you know.

So will Israeli-Palestinian issues (from 1988 and, of course, from much earlier) resurface with a huge splash in 2010?

Probably, for they never went away for that long-memoried region of the world with its ingrained and rigid inability to Forgive the Unforgiveable…which is what it would take for peace to break out and to last. Politicians and diplomats seemingly search hither and yon for political, military, and material solutions…which will never ever heal the spiritual problems festering underneath!

    Oh, Father Abraham.

Well, thank you for your kind comments, Al, they are much appreciated.

  2. I should have rephrased that I don’t mean you personally ‘have hardly any movement’, I mean those at large such as the tea party folks paying so much attention to health care but isn’t this so much worse yet they are not complaining about it? I look forward to your analysis of the coming months on the cardinal climax too!

  3. Hello Jude,

I always find you are spot on in your analysis of US foreign policy, but isn’t it so silly you have hardly any big movement complaining or campaigning against this waste of money? I mean where will the regime’s go next, already there is talk of Israel attacking Iran this summer under the influences of the cardinal climax!

“There are two lasting bequests we can give our children: One is roots, the other is wings.” Teaching children values and giving them the opportunity to excel is essential to good parenting. However, I feel I must also provide my children (and myself) insight into the ones who came before us: our ancestors whose lives and stories have shaped us into who we are.
