Few WordPressers now using SpellCheck

After just reading WordPress’ remarks that few WordPress bloggers are using the SpellCheck feature, I wanted to leave a comment of explanation but couldn’t seem to do so. A message that I should Sign In appeared, yet I Was signed in. Sigh.

So here’s my excuse, or justification (however you want to look at it) for not using SpellCheck:

For months now my edit field with the task bar on top has been garbled up with icons displaying over one another. SpellCheck is one of the casualties – I can’t click on it because icons are in the way.

Have I missed using SpellCheck? You betcha!

Especially since I’m often posting on the run as I dash out the door – or it’s late, I’m fatigued, and the typo gremlins tend to mess with me most successfully then, the little dickenses.

Between that and my photos not being enlargeable in the last several months, posting on WordPress has become less enjoyable and more time consuming, sorry to say.

It seems that each time WordPress upgrades its functionality, my pc, browser, and brain have more problems posting, not less! (Probably it’s on my end though, not WP’s.)

Yes, I still adore my WordPress blog, but other hosts are ‘easier’ to publish on, check spelling, and upload images that can be viewed more closely which is especially important with Astrology charts and the chicken-scratch notations I tend to write upon them. The charts do little good if you can’t see them well enough to read them. And posting them in ‘Large’ size is Too Large.

Well, I’m not sure what to do about my WordPress spelling mistakes other than to triple-check things myself, but thanks a bunch for allowing me to vent…
