Godfrey Hodgson on the Hundred Days myth

After reading an article by Godfrey Hodgson concerning Pres. Obama’s ‘hundred days’, which puts them into historical perspective from FDR to George W. Bush, I thought you might wish to read the article, too.

You may have heard or read Mr. Hodgson’s latest book ‘The Myth of American Exceptionalism’ and his article linked above is worth a few minutes of your reading time. You’ll discover where Mr. Obama’s ‘hundred days’ efforts, successes, and failures fall within FDR’s hundred days and the hundred days of…

…well, you’ll have to find out for yourself. And you may be surprised at a certain historical person’s name!

Of course, the mere title of Hodgson’s book might provide a subtle undermining of our nation in the vein of one-world-governmentism and the undermining of our national sovereignty, mightn’t it?

Frisky Friday Art: Ruby’s Red Flowers

Frisky Friday has rolled round again but since I’m having trouble with WordPress image uploads since I upgraded to IE8, I’m passing on a link to you of ‘Posing with Posies: Ruby’s Red Flowers’ a recent drawing in my Boudoir Blossoms collection of designs.

Note: my art gallery blog ‘Cosmic Persona Designs’ contains some adult or erotic art images (aka ‘Chiffonery Art’) although Ruby is quite innocent…’Ruby’s Red Flowers’ shouldn’t offend even the most discriminating, finicky viewer.

And Venus, whose favorite day of the week is Friday, is symbolized by Roses and probably loves the rest of the flower kingdom, too.

Actually Venus is quite the art patron, so have yourself a gallery sashay in support of the Arts, if you may!

Princes, Paupers, Pilgrims & Pioneers: Our Predecessors & Me

“There are two lasting bequests we can give our children: One is roots, the other is wings.” Teaching children values and giving them the opportunity to excel are essential to good parenting. However, I feel I must also provide my children (and myself) insight into the ones who came before us: our ancestors whose lives and stories have shaped us into who we are. This is my journey; these are their stories…
