Bush was ‘unprepared for war’!

George Bush’s interview with Charles Gibson will soon air in a wimpy attempt to salvage Bush’s skeletal  ‘legacy.’

But you, lone reader, always recognize bull poo when you smell it – do you recognize it when you hear or read it?

Now I seem to remember Bush crowing about being a ‘war president’ so you’d think he wouldn’t catapult such propaganda about himself and his warring ways. And remember his early days in Washington when he talked about going to Mars?

Mars, the planet named after the god of war, that is. Somehow it seemed so….perfect a place for him, and I generously offered to give him a ride to Cape Canaveral if he’d get onboard for a blast-off (my offer did not include a return trip  – I’m on a budget here.)

Then there’s the astrological fact that Bush invaded Iraq during a Jupiter Retrograde period…a ‘bottomless pit in the money department’ was how I phrased it at Stars Over Washington. Please don’t do it, George, most of the world pleaded, this reluctant astrologer included.  Jupiter the General is Rx, for cryin’ out loud, I wrote, somebody stop him and the neocon jingoists from this tragic folly.

And Rx Jupiter has resulted in interrupted service as generals fell politically by the wayside. We’ve also seen Jupiter’s Rx effects with retired generals speaking out against the Iraq Occupation and the Bush administration’s politically driven decisions and maneuvers.

But Dubya was gung-ho to go.

Bush and Cheney’s ‘mandate’ for office was very shaky then because of the SCOTUS bump into the White House they received by hook and crook. The US economy was unstable from the dot com bubble burst, too. But a ‘new Pearl Harbor’ arrived on 9/11/01, and the neocons were off to the races, with war drums loud and proud, and obscene profits to be made. ‘Twas the start of something big – the Iraq War.

So as we watch or read Bush’s interview which attempts a rewrite of history on this score, remember how Mr. Gung-Ho wouldn’t listen to anyone but the voices in his head, one of which was Dick Dark Side Cheney. And remember the millions of anti-war protesters in streets across the globe during the lead up to war and beyond.

They were correct.

Bush was wrong.

And no amount of belated, thespianistic hand-wringing or network propaganda can ever change that fact.

Why aren’t US credit rating agencies under fire?

The meltdown of the US economy is barreling right along but why aren’t our duplicitous credit rating agencies in trouble for fraud? Should America’s sovereign credit rating be lowered from AAA?

‘George Washington’ has some ideas which you may find of interest in the matter:

And yes, the markets dropped today – the DOW closed down 679 pts, or 7%. With the NYSE closing at 4:00 pm,  the plummet may have been affected by many things beginning this morning:

Barack Obama’s announcement of his National Securty team, Bush’s interview with Charles Gibson being previewed and showing Bush’s weasly try at rewriting his war history (there’s a bubble determined not to break), Paulson’s remarks, and…Sara Palin’s wacky stump speeches sprinkled throughout the day here in Georgia.

Well, if Palin’s words caused the markets to drop, it wouldn’t be the first time. But personally, I wouldn’t give her that much ‘credit.’ Would you?

And riches to rags, the National Bureau of Economic Research made its pronouncement today causing a further drop in the markets…its official – the US has been in a recession since December, 2007. Well, there’s a Duh Moment for ya.

Now what occurred astrologically in Dec 2007 that relates to money and money manipulators?, you ask reasonably. As above, so below, y’know.

Jupiter and Pluto’s Great Conjunction of Dec 11, 2007 (28Sag24), triggered the position of 1988’s Saturn/Uranus Conjunction. And since I’ve groused more than once about this conjunction of wealthy plutocrats, Jupiter-Pluto, obsessed with power as they are, I’ll hush in a minute.

But not before providing you with this link to a previous post all about the Jupiter-Pluto hook-up of Dec 11, 2007, with midpoints and associations included:

Funny story! There was a Fed meeting that very day, plus, NSA spy chief Michael Hayden took a meeting on Capitol Hill…how very Jupiterian-Plutonian of them all.

Palin in Georgia today – the state, not the country

This morning Sara Palin stumped for Republican Senator Saxby Chambliss in Augusta, Georgia. Apparently someone clued her in that she was to report to the state to fight the Democrats, not the country to fight Russians.

That detail taken care of, Governor Palin was greeted with what may be described as a ‘rock star reception’ and asserted that “this win in Georgia is the first step to rebuilding the party.”

Whoaaa, that’s a big first step, baby. Especially since your fella Saxby only mustered a run-off in a Republican-infested state! If Chambliss does pull it off, it will be because of Palin’s stimulating ‘you-betchas’ blended with a little e-tampering after supper.

So with the run-off vote being held tomorrow, Palin will make three more stops in Georgia today before (they tell her) she’s done firing up the base.

‘First Step’ – or Gridlock?

Now I know a 60-seat majority in Congress is to be feared by many people on all sides. It could, however, be what America needs to get things going, modified, and instituted toward refurbishing our nation. That’s IF Barack Obama is on the side of the middle class, as he purports to be, and if he receives some decent amount of cooperation from Washington politicians who always keep their eyes on their own main chances.

Otherwise, a Chambliss win in Georgia may throw more fuel on Washington’s gridlock fire which will then grump-up the American people at more of Capitol Hill’s sorry grand-standing ways. A dilemma!

Even so, my feelings and thoughts remain the same about tomorrow’s run-off vote…a vote for Saxby Chambliss is a pat on the backs of Rove, Cheney, and Bush. And that is NOT going to happen…not then, not now, not ever.

All through the weekend I received calls from Dem volunteers, plus a robo-call from the Republicans for Chambliss campaign. Today I received my first robo-call from Barack Obama asking me to vote for Democrat Jim Martin. He won’t have to robo-call me twice. He probably will – but he won’t have to.

Update: this link will take you to some of Palin’s ungrammatical rhetoric today along with a video of herself on the stump:

2009 Inauguration: YOD pattern forms 12:30 pm et

Venus Aphrodite

‘Venus Aphrodite’
Here’s a bit I wrote just now concerning the YOD pattern (‘Finger of God’) which forms around 12:30 pm ET on Inauguration Day 2009, and which points to America’s natal Venus (3Can06), and forms a YOD configuration even more closely with Barack Obama’s natal Venus (1Can34, using BHO’s ‘7:24 pm’ birth time.)

Dec 1 2008: Moon eclipses Venus in Europe

Space Weather News for Monday, Dec. 1, 2008
When the sun goes down tonight, step outside and look south. Beaming through the twilight is one of the prettiest things you’ll ever see–a tight three-way conjunction of Venus, Jupiter and the crescent Moon. The event is visible from all parts of the world, even from light-polluted cities. People in New York and Hong Kong will see it just as clearly as astronomers watching from remote mountaintops. Only cloudy weather or a midnight sun (sorry Antarctica!) can spoil the show.

The great conjunction offers something extra to Europeans. For more than an hour on Monday evening, the crescent Moon will actually eclipse Venus. Astronomers call such an event a “lunar occultation.” Venus emerging from the dark edge of the Moon is a remarkably beautiful sight. Sky watchers across Europe will be able to see this happen.
