In regard to your Winter Solstice 12.21.2012,
I was just rereading it in light of Obama’s first term ending and perhaps his second term decided in Dec. 2012.

As per Dr. Albert Schweitzer,
“Man must cease attributing his problems to his environment, and learn again to exercise his will – his personal responsibility in the realm of faith and morals.” This sounds like part of Obama’s inauguration speech for his first term. Do you see this chart as one to usher in a second term for him?
It would be appropriate if there are natural disasters, too.

Also, have you noticed folks inclination to use his first and last name when referring to him, maybe it’s just early days but does President Obama sound stronger. like President Kennedy, President Johnson, President Roosevelt? Or will it be like Abe Lincoln, Ike Eisenhower, George W. Bush
(like an assassin’s three name handle). I only ask because when I listen to the news on cable or radio (NPR) there seems to be such intention with saying BAR ACK O-BAMA. Odd I know, it’s just getting on my nerves, like they are related to him, own him or exalt him.

Hi Donna, it’s difficult to say with certainty since Astrology describes so many levels at once.

That population control is being practiced seems obvious to me – genocides, mass bombings,
and –??– .

If Hollywood would quit making films about killer viruses and such, we’d all sleep easier, wouldn’t we?

Such films with unimaginable scenarios may give the psychotic among us ideas for their next project! jude

Jude, do you see the jupiter point in the sixth house as an indicator of a pandemic? Are the neos planning to shore up their finances with a brew to thin out the crowds? A gloomy thought, I apologize, but it would be an ever man for himself kind of scenario.

James thanks so much for adding this info…just searched my art blogs for the reference I made to 2012 and Venus’ important role..didn’t find it (that’s odd!) but I appreciate your bringing Venus and her 8 year cycle into this post.

Venus is apparently the culprit for 2012. My Venus Return was this weekend so it’s amusing that you should mention The Lady.

Will look again at the Winter Solstice 2009 chart and thanks for the heads-up! jude

hello, i am neither astrologer nor astronomer.. more of an astroarcheologist you could say. anyway, i am surprised that you have not mentioned that on the morning of the winter solstice, just before sunrise, lokking out into te eastern sky you should be able to see the light from venus very clearly (supposing you are in a location wihtout light pollution and there is a clear sky) this is the culmination of venus’ 8 year cycle which is part of a bigger 40 year cycle. knowledge of this cycle has existed for over 5000 years and was used as the basis of the earliest calendars. the light from venus, if focused through a prism (or a light tunnel as used by megalithic astronomers) will shine on exactly the same spot every eight years to an accuracy of within a few seconds. the only method of time keeping that has surpassed this in terms of accuracy is the atomic clock which wasn’t invented until the 1950′s…

Hi Phaeded, thanks for writing!

As a Solar Fire software user i am at its mercy so I double-checked and yes, it says that the Sun rises over the White House at 7:28:22 am and Altair rises at 7:29 am est on Dec 21, 2012.

I’m not familiar with Jenkins’ work but will acquaint myself. With Galactic Center now nearing 27 Sag it is inching (poor word choice – sorry!) toward 00Cap ’tis true…

Stumbled across your page…confused by “Sun rises with Altair” – many the of the 2012 doyens emphasize the work of Maya scholar John Major Jenkins who says the 2012 winter solstice sun will rise in the Milky Way’s galactic center between the Sag’s arrow and Scorpius’ stinger. The Eagle is certainly suggestive but not part of the 2012 mythology as I understand it.
Thanks in advance for a further explanation.
