In keeping with Friday as the favorite day of art-patron Venus, it’s Frisky Friday Art time here at Jude’s Threshold…

View more figure studies at Cosmic Persona Designs if you’re 17+ (some adult content, but it’s only Artful designs, No Photos at all.)
And for more Art, plus Astrology, Politics, and other societal subjects, you may wish to check out Two Hours You’ll Never Get Back where you will, of course, get back your two hours with no fuss…I was being overly-dramatic when I set up the blog’s title. My bad. Your good?
And mosey by my Art Storefront to see what’s there for your Art Downloading needs and to snag yourself a little Art Break from your whatever-you-do!
Fridays roll around every week so it’s time for Frisky Friday Art in honor of Venus, goddess of beauty, art, and relationships.
In the Tropical zodiac Venus now transits Aries, sign of the ram, which is ruled by lusty Mars. And with Valentines Day almost here, I’m celebrating with a smidge of Chiffonery Art imported from my Cosmic Persona Designs collection of drawings!

All in all, a temporary break from ugly bailouts, political wranglings, and timed-for-effect cabinet withdrawals are an important part of my Venusian Fridays…how about yours?
Of course you do! Don’t we all? The one that got away…the one you still pine for just a wee bit perhaps?
So I got out my Prismacolor oil pencils and my Rexel Derwent watercolour pencils the other day and set about symbolizing lost love within a 9″x11″ rectangle of paper…and here’s the result:
While there scroll down a smidge for an Art SlideShow!
And if you wish, you may view more art in my Lulu Storefront where you may Support the Arts from the comfort of your keyboard:
Yes, the friskiness has left the building in many time zones…translation: this drawing is being published quite late for Frisky Friday Art.
And it’s not as if I splash up one of my archetypal Chiffonery Art images every Friday, Venus’ day though it may be.
Still, I hope Dora (titled prior to my hearing of the children’s character, Dora)–I hope that this Dora and her primal emotions of material envy are of some small entertainment for you, Lone Viewer, because with the way the world is going, you could definitely use a smidge of mindless visual fluff.
(for when Art Karma catches up with ya and you realize that paying a dollar or two for downloading someone’s original content is its own reward–besides, it isn’t as if a US dollar is worth the paper it’s printed on anymore);
(moon art, cosmic art, children’s art, fairy art–you get it);
(saucier stuff for the 17+ers among us–police yourselves, it’s impossible for me to do everything, ya know);
(botanical drawings: tropical fish of Western Australia…fish portraits in imaginary settings…ensnared within their fondest dreams for you to snare a sneak peek!)
There ya have it: a virtual representation of a lifetime of drawing…hope you have a mo to mosey by a gallery or two and check out my artwork–or someone else’s (you’ll find plenty of links on my blogs for convenient let-me-outta-here surfing, too.)
Now sashay outside to see some Art in your neighborhood and if any shows are on display, please support your local Art Exhibitions and Artists…
Wishing a Happy Weekend to All! jude
Floating in to say Hi! is the latest of my tropical fish portraits of a Slender weed whiting, Siphonognathus beddomei (Johnson), of Carnac Island, Western Australia.
As are all my Dreamyfish, Slender is lost in a dream and you’ve caught him in a very private moment…
you’ll find more portraits of his buddies at
where you’ll see the first version of this drawing…this is the final effort here. Fini.

Even the fluff of Karl Rove won’t protect him from the snarly Mr.A.Cat’s rhyminess.
A former agent in service to our nation, the elusive Mr.A. has penned a limerick in the litterbox of political verse for you to read–a limerick which concerns Mr. Rove and his sassy ways…
Who knew cats could be so political? Did you?
Yet the kitty cat in the chair, pictured above, looks fairly harmless, don’t you agree? Rather settled in, I might add.
