Tonight’s Cocktails w John Boehner and the Moon of Sarah Palin

If you’re of the RNC, perhaps your invitation for tonight’s cocktails with John Boehner has been received. If so, you’re expected in the GOP’s Maryland retreat at 7:00 pm est with Sun in Capricorn and an Aries Moon.

The shrewd combination of Sun in Capricorn and Moon in Aries is self-interested, intensely ambitious, and powerful and presents us with interesting ‘Images for Integration’ which you may wish to consider especially in relation to the current controversy over violent political rhetoric and the tragedy in Tucson on January 8, 2011.

This shows the reason for tonight’s gathering of the GOP as invited by House Speaker John Boehner with 00/1Taurus being a degree of violence (aka, ‘Hitler’s trigger point’, his natal Sun position.)

So it seems to me that discussion of the Tucson tragedy fall-out and how to manage it (with 2012 firmly in their sights) is on the GOP agenda this evening along with other issues, or I miss my guess. The Moon 28Ari11 is at Midheaven as well which puts the public mood and publicity firmly in the WHY? category – and the Mars-ruled Aries Moon = a woman, Sarah Palin!

On trusting the GOP

Well, I had a few thoughts to utter concerning this article about lack of trust in the GOP but a massive storm system is arriving Now and I must close before my pc is closed disruptively by Uranian lightening bolts.

FOX News predicts flu deaths in GA

It’s a bit after 11 pm edt and I turned the TV to FOX News Atlanta and heard their stark announcement (repeated a few times in the first 3 minutes) that the current outbreak of Swine Flu will be coming to my home state of Georgia and will ‘lead to death.’

Now the virus isn’t here yet as far as anyone knows or has admitted, but FOX wants us to know that death is on its way. It’s their lead ‘story’ – something that hasn’t happened yet but it’s only a matter of time, they assert.

Nice.

And you do know that the GOP overtook Georgia decades ago and won’t let go. If promoting Swine Flu can torpedo the local economies of this state (and elsewhere, although you may disagree) the Rs can blame the Ds – especially a popular president – and here we go again..all talk, no action from Washington.

Say, you didn’t want affordable health care with your dying breath, did ya?

Then you should have been a pocket-lining politician.

Uncle Michael vs Grandpa Rush

Robert Ellman has written that there are three core constituencies to the Republican Party:

1. Predatory corporatists who steal from wage earners and destroy the planet;

2. Religious lunatics…who proselytize  that anyone who doesn’t accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior is condemned to eternal damnation and don’t support civil liberties for homosexuals;

3. Angry racists.

That Rush Limbaugh has served as the face and voice of all three constituencies makes him a busy, if high-as-a-kite, broadcaster.

He has that Mars-Pluto zeal thing going on and Mars-Pluto square his Midheaven (Mc), the Career/Aspiration Point..

Mars-Pluto = Mc: confidence; ambition; dealing with might on either side of any issue; major job maneuver.

So with the Mc the most public point of any chart, you hear Limbaugh’s testosterone-driven Mars-Pluto when you hear him pontificating on the radio…Mr. Zealot.

And when RNC chairman Michael Steele (a ‘shameless apologist for the GOP’s predatory corporatists,’ says Ellman) recently dissed Rush as ‘party leader’  then had to apologize like a little puppy kicked up under the porch, the ‘Limbaugh brand’ was reinforced, the bristling ego of the man left haughtily intact.

That Mr. Steele imagined himself in charge makes me blush for him – someone should have explained things more fully.

Yet of late there have been frustrations in Mr. Limbaugh’s life because no one completely escapes the negative effects of Neptune conjunct natal Mars along with the positive ones.

In Limbaugh’s case, Mars 22AQ09 in 1st house of Self and Physical Body,  indicates quite a personalized wallop from the gaseous giant (the planet, not the man.)

(Mars represents our energy, initiative, and desire nature.)

That negative escapism is involved is an obvious caution due to his drug history including doctor-shopping and the involving of a household employee in his big drug scheme.

Yet through the aid of friends in high places, he paid very little for his illegal drug dealings and abuse – has anything of merit been learned by Mr. Law-Unto-Himself?

Physical endeavors and vitality are diffused or even undermined at such times as Neptune-to-Mars; deceptions, confusions, and illusions  are on the menu in one way or another. Male relationships may unravel or compromising photos may be taken and distributed.

Inflated (Neptune) actions (Mars) may become more evident in Limbaugh’s behavior – hard to believe that he could become even more expansive and bombastic than before, isn’t it? Well actually, transit Neptune has been affecting Limbaugh’s Mars for a while now.

Anything that does succeed under a Neptune-to-Mars transit will be due to inspired actions and insights. And with Neptune’s connection to the masses and to media, I’m certain that if Limbaugh feels the least bit inspired, we’ll be hearing all about it with his usual bombastic style.

George the Magic White Boy

Having an irrepressible kitty cat like Lim who does like his rhymery and his Politics, it makes smart  kitty sense that Lim would eventually respond to the Magic Negro parody of Barack Obama with his own ditty – also sung to the tune of ‘Puff the Magic Dragon.’

This may be Lim’s way of bidding adieu to our 43th resident, George Bush:

And don’t fret – Republicans, including radio’s Rush Limbaugh, have played the Obama parody ad nauseum using the ‘he’s black, too’ justification because it was created by a black man, David Ehrenstein.

So? Well, Lim is a Leo the Lion kitty…Bush has Leo rising and Mercury, Venus, and Pluto in Leo in his 1st house of Self. He even has Leo the Lion’s slightly crossed eyes and a heart full of pride.

So by GOP logic,  it’s okay for Lim to parody another Leo, right?

Dueling Parodies! Makes me wonder if ‘Rush the Magic Gasbag’ can be far behind! Lim may be scratching it into his litterbox as I type…better go check…’scuse me…

Senate race in Georgia turns rabid! video links

Do you suppose Saxby Chambliss is trying to lose his senate seat to Jim Martin by airing ads saying that Martin is soft on crime – and soft on crime against CHILDREN?!

What kind of social misfit would be soft on crime against children? Particularly one whose daughter was abducted at age 8 (and returned safely, praise be.)

Has the GOP gone completely rabid? Are they frothing at the mouth at the thought of 60 senate seats falling into Dem claws, or did GOP strategists lay off their fact-checker from the Chambliss campaign? It’s craziness either way!

I know this is Georgia, but the Chambliss campaign seems to be 3 nuts shy of a pecan tree on this – or are trying to lose.

So far as I can find, they and Chambliss’ folks aren’t commenting on a rather astounding feat of advertizing imbecility.

Well, never mind, because come hay or high water, I’ll be at the polls on December 2 to vote Democratic or my name isn’t Fifi. It isn’t. But I’ll be there anyway.

Nov 15 2008′s G20 Summit

As you’ve heard, Bush has called for a G20 Summit to be held in Washington this weekend, beginning Saturday, November 15.

The weekend begins with a Gemini Moon and Sunday will enjoy a Cancerian Moon. I’ve been happily blogging all day but am now a pooped puppy but not looking for a berth at the White House!

So this post won’t be expanded as I’d like; still, the Sun Sco/Moon Gemini and Moon Cancer blends may be of some interest as we wonder what’s up with this first-ever G20 meeting held at ‘Head of State’ level. Barack obama will be sending two reps on his behalf, one of which is former Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright, but only in ”listening roles.” (I wouldn’t want to step on Bush’s shadow  either!)

Sun Sco/Moon Gemini: this Water-Air blend is quick-witted and easy-going, passionate yet detached; it can be flippantly superficial about the serious, yet deadly serious about trivia. There is a quest for understanding and much restless energy with which to begin the G20 meeting.

Anxieties may be expressed and volatility may split the proceedings with off-again-on-again involvement – perhaps a walk-out may occur though probably only temporarily, if so.

Update: Rep. Paul Broun is now backing off his ‘marxist’ remark about Barack Obama…he ‘meant to say’ that some of Obama’s policies are marxist – while bringing up Hitler’s name in the process of making his original remarks to a radio station in Ausgusta, GA. recently. 

Oh yeah, Broun - that’s an improvement. Puh! Wonder which GOP strategists forced him to make this measly adjustment in his stupid shoot-self-in-foot critique of our brand new president, duly and resoundingly elected, who has yet to take office? This is all pretty amusing coming from one of the GOP goose-steppers, the party whose policies need serious revising so that we-the-people can begin to recognize our country again!

Obama-Biden or McCain-Palin?

McCain’s Palin ‘bump’ may be fading soon, and as many astrologers have observed before: John McCain’s health really IS an issue with transit Saturn opposite natal Saturn (in his 6th house of Health) on the menu.

If That transit doesn’t have health implications for a previous cancer patient of his advanced years, I’ll have to eat my ephemeris, won’t I? And of course, Saturn rules skin, and the August 1 Solar Eclipse is in McCain’s Pre-natal Eclipse Series making this a banner year for him in one way or another.

Eclipses, if they ‘bring’ anything at all, usually bring to light what one least expects so it’s impossible to pre-judge how they will act upon a native, but given McCain’s prominence within the collective, I should expect that “his” Eclipse will manifest noticeably as an event or events.

Then there’s Barack Obama:

One thing about Obama’s campaign that I’ve not had time to delve into as I’d like this week is his recent trip to Iraq and the hay the GOP will be making of it – whether they spin it out of whack or not, apparently Senator Obama ‘had speaks’ about a troop withdrawal date (and postponing it until the new administration comes in), which gives the Rovians lots of ammunition to manipulate into a big political problem for the Democratic candidate – even if he was well-intentioned.

Plus, tonight I’m officially in count down mode because this Friday evening is the Craig Ferguson comedy performance we’ve been pining for and I can hardly wait.

You’ve probably heard by now that Craig was feeling unwell and had to visit his doctor the other day and he’s been diagnosed with…..election fever!

Oh, and Happy 221st birthday to the US Constitution today! You’re a little gray around the muzzle and under constant attack – in shreds actually – but the majority of we-the-people still love ya!

Wednesday, Sept 17 was marked by a ceremony at Montpelier, home of the Architect of the Constitution (and the Bill of Rights), President James Madison, because the renovations have been completed returning Montpelier to its original state and size.

The du Pont family’s wings have been removed reducing the house’s size from 36,000 square feet to 12,261 square feet. ‘Madison’s Temple’ is still on the premises, of course.

In attendance were Jim Lehrer and Chief Justice John Roberts, some muckety-muck politicians, along with Madison’s descendants, and descendants of the slaves he kept. With Madison elected president in 1809, the plantation has been restored to the time period 1809 – 1836, the year of his death.

Moon back in bounds as Obama enters Denver 8.27.08

This morning, Aug 27, 2008, at appr 10:46 am MDT, the Moon returns within bounds of the earthly plane, aka ‘back in bounds’ while zodiacally placed at 24Can03 (9th house in Denver) – and Barack Obama arrives at the DNC.

Curious degree, if you don’t mind rounding up to ’25Can’ – the natal US Mercury’s degree (Rx.) And Mercury represents orators, communicators, and young people - esp those who deliver The Good News.

America could use a slice o’that. But delivered on whose behalf?

Carelli gives the symbol for ’25Can’ as “A wild horse” suggesting a questing, Sagittarian influence, full of noble purpose. Reminds me of Joe Biden’s promise that Obama – and he – will ‘transform the world.’

It needs reforming, but on whose behalf?

Egos clash for party control of course, yet this script may be as much party lore than anything and I can think of a few reasons how it could be useful to them pre-White House…if it’s dropped or disavowed with more fervor post-White House, we’ll see propaganda underpinings in it.

Some may see the invisible mantle of power as belonging to one standing behind Obama! Biden? Bill C? An unknown supporter whose name remains a mystery? Or an organization.

A ‘black man in the White House’ seems at this juncture to be on America’s menu unless Karl Rove high-jinks should prevail and vanquish.

(But that’s assuming the Rs want the helm ‘at this juncture’ with all the mess they’ve made – why not let Dems have a go and flail around a while so the GOP can emerge as victorious ‘saviors’ in 2012 thus preventing a Hillary Clinton presidency? With Mitt Romney now joined the ‘shadow’ operation of the McCain campaign, one wonders what’s in the works. The August 1 Solar Eclipse shadow effects are now underway where options open and the cosmos shows a solution which must be quickly acted upon.)
