1929′s North Node and Chiron are conjunct as they are now, but without Neptune’s company as now…asteroid Midas, who is always around where there are big piles of gold to hoard…is conjunct Chiron-North Node, and also conjunct the midpoint of Jupiter-Uranus = ‘the big break; boundless optimism; success’ at’13Tau’…”A Man Handling Baggage.”

Well, the stock market crash of 1929 meant a ‘big break’ for a few select people – very few. The rest were then, as now, left out of Jupiter’s largesse.

Okay, so WWII hadn’t occurred yet, but it’s the essence of the day we’re seeking here, and perhaps 1929′s ‘criminal lawyer’ is still trying to tell us something!

Souplines Across America a legacy of Bush?

The more people lining up for their daily bowl of soup, the more I think of the presidency of George W. Bush.

Heads-up to an observant reader who noticed that I never put the title ‘President’ in front of Bush’s name – never have, never will. A ‘Mr” I’ll grant him but nothing more exalted. Most men who have inhabited the Oval Office have risen to the title, President of the United States of America.

But there is One who has lowered America’s standing in the world as he beggared her citizens.

Even now he’s busy justifying himself to…himself, no doubt. With me he’d have a harsher critic than his mirror if he cared to ask. He doesn’t, but if he did.

And since I knew I’d been grousing about such distressing matters as the dwindling economy, the wastefulness of the Bush administration, foreclosures, and hunger for quite a while, I set about finding certain SO’W posts for you – some containing links to articles (by writers who actually know what they’re doing), some with links to other posts with or without astrological observations involved.

It’s a mixed bag, especially because you’ll discover that there are couple of cross links between posts, but that’s how the blogging goes.

Yes, the plutocratic, overbearing Pluto-Chiron duo is wallowing in its richest element now, isn’t it? And renting our social fabric into tatters.

So tell me – did I overstate the case in the above posts? Were my comments about souplines offensive to proud Americans?

Be that as it may, if you do nothing else, be sure to look for a link to FDR’s ‘test of our progress’ …it’s a dilly when placed next to Bush’s lack of empathy for his fellow man.

New ‘New Deal’ too big a deal?

Let George explain to you that perhaps too much of the wrong things are being thrown at the current financial crisis which is not the same as the old financial crisis – and Obama and Pelosi may be set to make things worse:

Why, it’s almost as if government’s political thespians are intent on crashing America’s economy so completely that a new financial world order will become our only avenue – and our only ‘hope’! (she typed drippingly.)

Can the fabled ‘amero’ be far behind? And will Barack Obama be the spoonful of sugar that makes the medicine go down? If so, does he know that’s his role? How can he not?

You’ll notice he refers to speaker of the House as Tip O’Neill but his sentiments still ring loud and true circa 2008 – even more so – which you can very well tell from the article’s title, ‘The 545 People Responsible For All Of U.S. Woes’:

You know the massive and so-called ‘Bailout Bill’ and the fearfully touted ‘credit crunch’ we’ve been hit with these last weeks, months, years? Well, ‘Nothing in Politics happens by mistake – if it happens, you can be sure it was meant to happen.’

I believe words to that effect were spoken by FDR, but if I’m wrong, please correct.

You know I had never heard of or read Charley Reese’s article in October 2005 when I began blogging at Stars Over Washington, but its motto is:

‘Astrological comments on America, on Washington DC, and on the politicians who infest them.’

Well, more than ever it’s: INFEST THEM.

So if you doubted before that we have a major infestation in our capital eating away at our nation’s infrastructures, perhaps the Bailout Bill – or any number of outrages during the last 8 years and before – have changed your mind about the termites of Capitol Hill.

My suggestion you will find there is the best idea I’ve found so far, and the 1933 + 1937 Astrology charts are very informative – America’s becoming a nuclear power is certainly one key to the riddle.

VP search: too many senators

Yeah, okay, so an abundance of senators we’ve already got in this race for the White House and all I’ve read or heard indicate that only governors need apply for the office of Vice President of the United States of America.

So there go my Jim Webb-John Edwards ideas for the Dem ticket, I suppose, and what’s best for the common good need not apply either…Politics eats it for breakfast.

Then there is the commonly known tendency of senators to have exalted (aka high’n'mighty) opinions of themselves…perhaps too much so to be put in the number 2 spot by a freshly minted president with credibility issues of his/her own. But we’ve been graced with governors for prez before and see what pigs-in-pokes they turned out to be? As you know, the current one is a real oinker.

Dick Cheney even thinks himself above the office while he’s holding it and not part of the executive branch at all. Now that’s a raging case of hubris or advice from his lawyers…or both. Mildly amusing that he elevated the office in so many ways yet disavowed it when his hide was in danger. He’s a crafty little yoda pudding pile.

And with the McCain shendig in Sedona, Arizona this weekend, the guest list of governors seems to indicate that McCain has his eye monacle upon Mitt Romney, among others. Selecting him may be a political can of religious worms being opened past their use-by date.

But as previously noted, campaigning Romney did raise more money here in Georgia than McCain has to date even though the state was overrun by Republicans some years ago (oddly enough, so GA must have some cache for the GOP, eh? ‘Strategery.’ Perhaps you’ve caught the PBS series, ‘American Experience’ and the episodes on FDR which mention the “Little White House” in Georgia. But it’s the graying Big One I’m fretting about here.)

Funny that my blog stats have my ‘McCains’ Wedding Day Astrology’ article as numero uno…6,762 views so far. With the release of McCain’s voluminous health report, we are meant to be consoled that the man is fit as a fiddle, or at least as sound as a ukelele (in tune, one hopes.)

Then this week Hillary Clinton apologized for her weird remark about RFK’s assassination in mid-June as if a certain opponent may be history by June and she won’t need to drop out of the horse race.  Does she know something we don’t know?

Some say perhaps she was ”tired” and thus let an unfortunately tin-eared comment slip. I think it was very strange that the month of June should bring that sad case to her consciousness at all–and that the “she’s tired” excuse is a not so backhanded critique of her gender, poor little wilting flower…she can’t quite keep up with the boys–what tripe. Sewing doubt concerning her opponent doesn’t take fatigue, just cynical self-interest and a dirty trick mentality. The win-at-any-cost Clinton Machine is no myth.

Yes, Robert Kennedy was killed while campaigning but I wonder if Clinton is sure who the victim would be if certain elements in US society orchestrated the horror again? Yet I have written here and elsewhere that Obama’s safety is a concern of mine after studying astrological charts, but I haven’t wished to add to such a discussion with particulars.

Besides, anyone who interprets astrology maps can see for themselves as they look ahead, and they know that it takes a conflagration of factors in synchronistic fashion for anything to come to pass. Otherwise it remains potential.

Then on Thursday, I watched Barack Obama’s speech aimed at Israel which was given at a Boca Raton, Florida synagogue. How much it helped him with the Jewish population and friends, I don’t know, but it seemed to be a comforting speech at the time. How shredded it ends up being bwo the media and the blogging community prior ot November, who’s to say?

Yet Obama said all the right things and touched all the right notes, and really…isn’t that what political perfect pitch is all about?

Guess our prez selection system is problematic–we get illusions and images during campaigns, but Substance may only be seen after the take over of the White House.

Unfortunately for The People, Buyer’s Remorse has become common in America and as we’ve seen with the Bush administration, a No Return, No Refund policy in high’n'mighty Washington, DC has now been set in stone–which ignores the provision in the Constitution for redressing our grievances against corrupt or incompetent administrations.

Perhaps we’re simply too apathetic or busy trying to get by to bother, but this time, let’s be sure to keep the receipt.

Wondering what FDR would do?

He’s seeing what i’m seeing! But can you imagine a GOPer with that kind of social conscience? Or an elist snob of any stripe or spot?

Now you know that Compassionate Conservatism can’t and won’t allow a “welfare state” such as Christ teaches in the Bible, charity being a dirty word to make ‘brother’s keeper’ merely a quaint anachronism to be dispensed with in today’s ‘modern’ world.

Let’s see…on Bush’s Watch America is experiencing:

9/11 attacks engineered by his family’s associates, failure and loss, overextension, misdirected war efforts, fraud, violence and revenge, and I’m sure you can think of things to add to this list.

And you know I’m inclined to take Cheney at his word: things are going very successfully–for the rich.

So what are the odds that Cheney is one of the bettors who caused the subprime housing foreclosure/credit squeeze/market’n'dollar meltdown we enjoy today?

Toxic investments made with no regulation or oversight–brought to us by Congress, world bankers, the Fed, Wall St, and White House wheeler-dealers…scams now known as Credit Default Swaps. And the odds are in Dead-Eye’s favor that he’s one of the gambling bandits behind the mask and raking it in.
