Eye on Geithner: where G-Sachs’ bailout $ went
Just wanted to be certain you caught the one about Goldman Sachs’ disclosure of the list of financial recipients from when Goldman paid off its overseas bets using US taxpayer monies under the label “bailout.”
As many have said before me, their fancy financial transactions should have resulted in jailouts, not a bailouts.
So Goldman Sachs was paid twice, minimum.
Meanwhile, we got rooked by banking racketeers which in turn made their hugely obscene bonuses possible. What accounts for their huge, ballooning noggins – like astronauts’ swollen heads in space – only the god of hubris can tell.
But why should he spill the beans?
For as shipping and railroad magnate Cornelius Vanderbilt was fond of saying, “What do I care about the law? Hain’t I got the power?”
