For now I’m only providing a link to Nostradamus’ text, the Century 10, Quatrain 72 concerning the Aug 11, 1999 Solar Eclipse, his ‘King of Terror’ Eclipse, sometimes called, ‘King of Alarm’ Eclipse.

And if you note a difference between Nostradamus’ date – “seventh month” – and  ‘Aug 11′  it’s due to the calendar change from Julian to Gregorian when 10 days were dropped and some other fancy footwork was adopted to make things tally.

 And the end of the quatrain?

It occurred to me during 2003’s Mars perigee (the red planet’s closest approach to Earth), when Mars hung over the streets of NYC to be exclaimed over by visually stunned New Yorkers sleeping outside because of a power outage, that this particular perigee visit from the ‘god of war’ could be the reference Nostradamus makes to “ruling before and after Mars.”
