This morning I’ve been looking at Mercury’s Rx 21Gem32 which occurred in Washington DC at 11:48 am EDT today, and Mercury’s relationship to Hillary Clinton’s astrological placements. 

My study is spurred by Mercury’s connection to thinking and communication, Clinton’s campaign difficulties, and by her unfortunate comment concerning the June assassination of Robert Kennedy in 1968–the “anything can happen to my opponent, so I won’t drop out” defense for staying in the race.

Before proceeding, here’s the full list of dates/times (set for Washington DC) of Mercury’s schedule:

1. Rx 21Gem32:  May 26, 11:48 am EDT;

2. Direct 12Gem59:  June 19, 10:32 am EDT;

3. to shadow degree 21Gem32:  July 4, 8:32 am EDT

With her natal Mercury at 21Sc019 Rx conj natal 6th cusp of work, service, and health, today’s Rx degree is inconjunct natal Mercury, a tricky time when one may thrive or fail based on disharmony of communications, and is a period which brings tension in work associations or personal friendships for the senator.

There are demands on nervous energy with this contact of ‘adjustment’ (150 degr) esp regarding communication style, thinking, and planning, plus a propensity toward quarrels, criticisms, and irritability (Mercury rules the nervous system.)

A 3rd party advocate can help with this testy situation–perhaps represented by her natal Saturn–an older person, or a Democrat–because Mercury now sextiles Clinton’s natal Saturn. Sexiles are aspects of promise, aid, and opportunity, but effort must be made to kick them into gear. It’s getting late in the game, but perhaps she’ll receive an endorsement or valuable advice that prove helpful to her campaign goals.

However, the entire Mercury Rx period (including its movement past its ‘shadow degree’) is occurring in Clinton’s 12th house of karma, self-undoing, and behind-the-scenes activities. Today’s Rx is near her n Uranus and Ascendant, too, so anxiety about performance may be felt.

Mercury through 12th house is a time when confidential info or secret messages are received which only she may understand (perhaps marked, “for your eyes only” but that’s not unusual for politicians at any time–still I’m focused on the presidential campaign here), and hidden activities are engaged in; plus, there may be contacts with or info received about people from her past.

And Saturn’s help, mentioned above, could include actionable intell on her opponent–received in the shadows of her 12th house.

Senator Clinton’s natal Uranus 25Gem55 Rx is very near natal ASC (which may be 29Gem+ but cussedly I’m using one minute later (8:01 pm CST; Oct 26, 1947) to give her moon-faced self a 00Can04 ASC. Don’t you think she’s round-faced enough for a Cancer Ascendant?)

Mercury to n Uranus is a time of dealing with societal issues bwo communications, ideas, and new methods yet one may be out of sync with everyone else. Travel is prominent as well as computers and international finance. This reminds me of the article I wrote the other day concerning the Clintons’ ties with shadowy financier Alan Quasha and other liasons of unsavory character.

Of some interest is Mercury’s conj to Fixed Star, Capella, the alpha star of the Charioteer constellation, Auriga. This may be esp significant because of quick Mercury’s wing’d-helmet-and-ankles role in travel, for the myth of Auriga concerns Macha, the Celtic goddess who was known for her quickness and was involved in a race where she was disrespected.

Capella’s keywords are: “love of movement and independence.” (Brady’s ‘Fixed Stars.’)

Next is Mercury’s Direct Station on Independence Day, July 4, 12Gem59. There is a midpoint picture formed with Mercury as apex planet between Saturn (old methods; the past; reality; the D Party) and progressive and tech-savvy Uranus…

Saturn/Uranus = Mercury: necessary stages of rethinking; demands on nervous energy; hitting back hard under provocation; ability to organise resistance; tendency toward separaton.

These factors can be of influence within work associations and in personal relationships.

On June 19, at the moment of Mercury’s turning Direct, there is this midpoint picture relating to Career, Public Status, and Aspirations…

Neptune/ASC = MC: lack of stamina; out of control; acting under the influence of others; being corrupted or led astray.

This Mc 21Tau34, is conj Hillary’s natal 12th cusp, a very karmic point in any horoscope, and is near her natal North Node, also a karmic point, so we see:

Neptune/ASC = NN: suffering from falsehood, fraud, or malice bwo of one’s associations with inharmonious people; an accessory to malicious scheming.

A politician maliously scheming? Say it isn’t so!!

Then on July 4, as Mercury reaches today’s Rx degree, similar or same issues she (and we) are facing today will need addressing again and some may be in the news (Mercury = the reporter, the scribe, the messenger.)

July 4′s transit Midheaven at the moment Mercury reaches 21Gem32 has two midpoints upon it…

Venus/Neptune = Mc: losing oneself in illusions; and

Mercury/Uranus = Mc: the inventor; success with all around resourcefulness; thinking and acting swiftly.

Restrictive Saturn will be at 4Vir50 on July 4th and approaching Hillary’s natal IC of home and domestic scene. This may not bode well for accepting more career responsibilities for her unless its influence boomerangs to natal Midheaven (Career Point) so it may bring the senator more to do with family issues which she may resent. (There are some indications that her husband’s health isn’t what it should be now, so we’ll see in the coming months if he is affected by Saturn to her IC, a point of endings.)

The transiting Saturn/Pluto midpoint has been on and off Clinton’s natal Sun (2Sco48; vitality; life purpose) this year (and same with the NWO’s natal Sun 1Sco19, Oct 24, 1993) so there’s this…

Saturn/Pluto = Sun: threat of loss; enforced change; separation; potential ill health; physical toil and over-exertion; renunciation; privation; a physical separation. (Tyl; Ebertin.)

This midpoint conjunction with natal Sun, among other factors, has been interfering with Hillary Clinton’s ability to ‘shine’ and adds to a considerably wide picture of failure to achieve goals.

And if Senator Clinton does receive the Democratic nomination, it will be with the help of outside forces who want her in the White House in spite of–or by way of–her past alliances.
