Paul and Janna Ryan: Wedding Day Astrology
Republican Rep. Paul Ryan proposed marriage to tax attorney Janna Little in April 2000 and they were wed in Oklahoma City, OK on December 2, 2000 with approximately 400 guests attending. (Click link for more details.)
Now if the Ryans’ wedding ceremony took place at or after 9:23 pm CST, the Moon (feminine principle) had entered Pisces. If before, the Moon was in Aquarius; in both cases, the Sun (male principle) was in Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius in the 10Sag21 to 11Sag22 degree range. (Dec 2, 2000 12 am CST to 11:59 pm CST.)
(Astro-Note: as a pair, the luminaries–Sun and Moon–indicate Marriage.)
And as you know, idealistic Jupiter’s natural abode is the 9th house of Philosophy, Religion, and Higher Education. Plus, the Sun (husband) conjoined Pluto on that day (Pluto @12Sag39 noon CST) and neared Chiron 19Sag09. Synchronistically, the Wedding Moon at noon (@25AQ20) conjoined and reflected asteroid Juno, the wife and met Cupido 00Pis25 (family; cupidity or love) soon after Luna entered Pisces.
So which Sun-Moon blend of this the happy couple to detail? First, some basic elements to consider:
Sun Sag-Moon AQ is a ‘live wire’ Fire-Air combo of bluster and bombast and denotes those who tend to become ‘carried away’ with their own ‘eloquent’ rhetoric. Zeal for innovative ideas is notable which are then persuasively expressed to others. This is a visionary combo which must guard against impracticality; in evidence may be a tendency to be out-of-touch with the emotional realm of feelings.
Sun Sag-Moon Pisc is a Fire-Water blend which may be described as a “bulldozer” for its tendency to push ahead in the preferred direction, no matter what. This combo denotes a more practical visionary with feet kept firmly on the ground but with an instinct for the ‘main chance’. There’s a love of the good life and a talent for pulling rabbits out of hats.
Hmmm…guess we’d better look at both Sun-Moon sign combinations!
Sun Sag-Moon AQ (Janna does look to me to have ‘Aquarian blue eyes’!): intellectual and friendly, this visionary blend denotes high ideals, a breezy outspokenness, and a seeker of truth (uh-oh! guess you can always seek it so you can hide it!) All types of viewpoints are accomodated with an easy-going adaptability, and its positive outlook is willing to take risks whenever necessary; a keen social awareness may be noted which identifies with the World View, or which seeks to justify its personal eccentricities.
With this blend, life’s mundane realities present challenges, and a high-minded crusading zeal shows insensitivity to more sentimental souls. There’s a tendency to over-generalize while living in the realm of abstract ideas, and in relationships, Sun Sag-Moon AQ isn’t automatically adept at intimacy. An intelligent, strong-egoed partner is a must to keep things interesting; plus, loyalty is much prized as long as independence is part of the marriage.
Is this a passionate and romantic combination? Yes, but even so there’s usually a brotherly-sisterly quality within the partnership.
Sun Sag-Moon Pisc describes more of an emotional, imaginative blend with deep convictions, generosity, and a moralistic streak. This is The Philosopher yet the logic is irrational, the dreams fantastical. An enormous sensitivity to the human condition is prominent (and not generally found within the objectivist hearts of Ayn-Randers) along with a trusting openness–the need to give to others is an endearing quality of this combo.
Lavish expenditures may occur for this blend contains a ‘wastrel’ sub-personality! Giving the ‘shirt off one’s back’ is described here and for that reason and others (and because odds are that the Ryan nuptials took place prior to 9:23 pm), I ‘vote’ for the Sun Sag-Moon AQ blend to more closely describe the relationship and the individual partners in the Paul and Janna Ryan union.
What do you think? If you wish to ‘vote’ for a blend or remark, please leave a comment with this post!

An Astro-Profile of Prince William and Kate
April 29, 2011 will soon arrive with a royal wedding in tow and having just read an excellent astro-profile of both Prince William and his fiance Kate Middleton, I thought you might be interested.
Written by Alex Miller of Daykeeper Journal, Wills and Kate is full of info on each of them along with links between their natal planets and Black Holes (which Alex specializes in.)
And in case you missed it, you may also wish to check out Prince William’s and Kate’s Wedding Day Astrology Report which uses the positions of Sun (male) and Moon (female) on April 29, 2011 to determine a few of the more prominent facets of their partnership.
A Royal Wedding Day Astrology Report: Prince William and Kate!
With April 29, 2011 the date of Prince William’s and Kate Middleton’s wedding day, I have published as a Page in this blog’s sidebar a Wedding Day Astrology Report concerning the happy couple’s Spring nuptials which will describe some of the basic dynamics of their partnership.
For as you know, Sun and Moon in a horoscope are descriptive of the male (Sun) and female (Moon) principles and the midpoint between the two luminaries indicates ‘marriage.’ Well, it’s two luminaries for certain as their royal wedding day has been declared a public holiday in England with all the attendant trappings of publicity!
Their Wedding Day horoscope is shown on the Page for I thought you might wish to see royal Jupiter conjunct Midheaven, one of the signs of a ruling monarch with Saturn at Mc being the other sign (Queen Elizabeth has Saturn in Scorpio @ Mc.)
Plus, in case you missed it, do check out DarkStar Astrology’s column on the royal couple’s engagement horoscope (announced November 17, 2010) which links you to the natal charts of Prince William (June 21, 1982 9:03 pm BST London) and Kate Middleton (Jan 9, 1982 hour unknown.)
Both Prince William and Kate are 28 years old, the age of one’s Saturn Return when becoming more serious about the future is the required response.
So check the sidebar of Pages or click a direct link to the Wedding Day Astrology Report: Prince William and Kate Middleton and leave your on-topic comments with this post, if you wish.

Wedding Day Astrology: Russell Brand-Katy Perry
Update February 11, 2012: by now you’ve heard the sad news of the Perry-Brand divorce. For more details try this.
Original post begins here with no edits so that you may appreciate their marriage’s initial promise, their faith in true love which has not, it seems, carried their marital union up to a second anniversary:
By now you’ve heard the joyous news that pop star Katy Perry and her love, comedian and actor Russell Brand, tied the nuptial knot on Saturday, October 23, 2010, in beautiful and exotic India.
You’ll find a few wedding details here and here.
Yet all may not be sweetness and light since some local laws may have been violated and the couple’s wedding celebration could come under investigation (though one might imagine that a hefty fine could be assessed and paid.)
All congrats and best wishes to the happy couple!
Now I have decided not to publish on this blog a Wedding Day Astrology Report for the sidebar’s Pages list. This is because the Perry-Brand ceremony took place on Saturday October 23, 2010, and the Aries/Libra Full Moon perfected at 7:08 am IST in India!
It’s a fairly safe assumption that the two frisky entertainers did not arise early from bed to marry at the Full Moon so they could have a Sun Lib-Moon Aries blend for their partnership, even though Full Moons represent the balancing of two opposites…in a word, relationships.
So when did the Moon and Sun change signs on October 23 and how do the various combinations of energies change their Wedding Day Astrology synergy?
At 12:00 am IST on Oct 23, 2010, the Sun began @ 29Lib15 with the Moon 25Ari53.
The (feminine) Moon reached 00Tau00 at 8:00 am IST w/ Sun 29Lib35; the (masculine) Sun reached 00Sco00:00 at 6:00 pm IST. Therefore, their Sun-Moon blend may be Sun Lib-Moon Ari (unlikely – too early in the day), Sun Lib-Moon Tau, or Sun Sco-Moon Tau.
Sunset is a popular hour to wed and it occurred at 5:47:27 pm IST in Jaipur, India with Sun 29Lib59 (just before entering Scorpio, sign of sex and procreation – is a baby on the way?), and Moon 5Tau04. As you know, the Moon is exalted in Taurus indicating a very sensual nature that adores life’s creature comforts. (Think ‘Bill Clinton’s natal Moon’! Moon = the reigning need, and a Taurus Moon often gives a person the oomph for garnering many lovely possessions and..well, money.)
So here are the Images for Integration for the two combinations along with a smidgeon of extra details for each – and remembering that relationship-oriented Libra is an outgoing, action-oriented Cardinal sign while sexy Scorpio and Taurus are rigid and inflexible Fixed signs which may give stubbornness and/or longevity to their relationship:
Sun Lib-Moon Tau (Air-Earth = innovative, efficient, supportive, scientific, rational): “Newlyweds go on a gourmet tour of Italy for their honeymoon”… (India and the Maldives actually!)…”A lecture on ancient Greek architecture and town planning.”
Home and family are central to the happiness of the Sun Lib-Moon Tau blend for it shows a deep need for affection and harmony. Romantic escapades may abound until the perfect mate is found, then devoted and steadfast love is enjoyed. There is a refined aesthetic sense and an abiding faith in the power of love.
Sun Sco-Moon Tau (Water-Earth = a practical, supportive, and nourishing combo which may temd to view change as threatening; relationships bring out its devotional, domestic, and gentle nature): concern for others, sensuality and self-control; quiet strength and determination; cares deeply about loved ones and may be possessive with an all-or-nothing attitude.
“Images for Integration: Pluto takes Persephone into the Underworld…A celebrated surgeon amasses a fortune…A successful businessman probes the mysteries of life.”
(Sun Sign-Moon Sign, Charles and Suzi Harvey.)
Also in Scorpio: Mercury (vows), Venus (love and affection – but Venus is Rx), and Mars (sex and desire); the Moon is across the horoscope from the Scorpio line-up in also-lusty Taurus.)
Well, to me it seems the Sun Sco-Moon Tau’s ‘Pluto and Persephone’ reference could be an accurate description for the Perry-Brand partnership yet I prefer the Sun Lib-Moon Tau blend for its “newlyweds” reference and its optimistic, romantic, and “abiding faith in the power of love”!
And yet…Mr. Brand does have those intense Scorpio eyes and seems quite a Pluto sort of fellow, doesn’t he? And wealthy Pluto rules the world’s riches which a lovely Taurean Moon can well appreciate.
So what do you think, lone reader? Naturally, if you should run across the actual time of their wedding ceremony – or a reference to ‘sunset’, that sort of thing – I hope you’ll let me know by leaving a comment here and I’ll update this post.

Chelsea Clinton weds today
Amongst the hub’n'bub of festive preparation, in the midst of a couple of decoy weddings (as noted by CBS this morning), Rhinebeck, NY will celebrate an illustrious wedding this evening, that of former first-daughter Chelsea Clinton to longtime beau and investment banker, Marc Mezvinsky.
At the moment, this Georgia blogger is nowhere near the nuptials in upstate New York yet from afar I am preparing a small celebration myself bwo a Wedding Day Astrology Report for the happy couple.
Their nuptials are being deemd a ‘royal wedding’ which actually fulfills the prediction from the January 15, 2010 Solar Eclipse of a ‘Ceremony Fit for a King’ (said Celeste Teal in her book Eclipses) even though we’ve moved on to the Solar Eclipse of July 11, 2010, the eclipse season we’re now in.
This may be an example of Solar Eclipses retaining their influence well past the next Solar Eclipse date for some are stronger than others, as we know.
So do stay tuned, or simply return and check the sidebar of Pages to your right under ‘Wedding Day Astrology’ and there will be Chelsea and Marc before this day is through!
Hint: a Wedding Day Astrology Report for Bill and Hillary Clinton is already in the sidebar of Pages!
1:40 pm edt: their Wedding Day Astrology Report is now published. jc
3:00 pm edt: you may wish to view a few additional details now published concerning both their natal charts which may well impact their relationship.
Wedding Day Astrology: Sandra Bullock and Jesse James
Blog Alert: it has come to my attention bwo a discriminating reader (see her comment below) that the marriage certificate for the Bullock-James wedding has been located and that their nuptials took place, not on July 16, 2005 as many sources state, but on July 14, 2005, in Texas and not in California.
If so, quite a number of news articles now online contain lovely fairytale details of a wedding that wasn’t there…at the reported hour, at least.
Therefore, I’ve just gone through the several articles I read or skimmed through when preparing the following post and am finding no updated mention of July 14, 2005, as of yet. Rather than deleting this post I shall let it stand for now, unreliable though the time/place may be, and see what develops.
Yes, the 2-day difference in wedding dates would, of course, change the sign of the Moon but not the Sun. Therefore, I leave it to you to decide whether you wish to read my original (apparently incorrect) article or not. JC
Original post begions here:
In a sunset ceremony on a ranch north of Santa Barbara, CA, Sandra Bullock and Jesse James were wed on July 16, 2005 under a circus-like tent full of family and friends.
The above paragraph begins my freshly published Page in the sidebar of ‘Wedding Day Astrology’ Reports. My Wedding Day Astrology list of couples has become semi-extensive (no such word, I guess, but there it is.)
So check out the sidebar to your left for info on the Bullock-James nuptials and marriage as seen through an astrological lens, or simply click directly, if you wish.
Wedding Day Astrology of the Osbournes
Just a brief heads-up: the Wedding Day Astrology Report concerning the marriage of Ozzie and Sharon Osbourne has just been published as a Page in this blog’s alphabetized sidebar column under “W’, or you may wish to click the link directly.
Sun Can/Moon Sag is a steamy Water-Fire blend of energies which can both purify and scald, so check out this emotionally passionate, poetic and musical combo, as you wish.
