Feb 25, 2013 Full Moon in Virgo = job losses?
Today’s post at Stars Over Washington gives details and a view of the horoscope of February 25, 2013′s Full Moon in Virgo, sign of jobs, work, service, and health, with the chart set for the Capitol Building, Washington DC.
And as you know, various services in the US are due for interruption and more job losses are predicted because of ‘sequestration’ cuts which are likely to be implemented beginning March 1st unless Congress lifts itself up and shows more wisdom in financial matters than they’ve demonstrated so far. Such are the Machiavellian tactics of Washington politicians egged on by their wealthy billionaire backers against We the People as they plan austerity for us, more riches bwo tax breaks for them!
On Monday February 25th, congress members skulk back to the Capitol Building after their week-long vacation under the rays of a Virgo Full Moon which perfects on Monday at 3:26 pm est and colors this congressional session.
Implications of the Full Moon’s Sun Pisces-Moon Virgo Water-Earth blend of energies (mud-stuck yet practical, swamped by duties they should have already met) may be interesting to note: ‘analysis and synthesis, nervous and fretful, large-minded but good with details, devoted servants with refined tastes’. This blend denotes a confrontation (Full Moon = culmination, and awareness of relationship dynamics) between intuition and reason with Pisces unable to stand much reality, and Virgo all for making clear-eyed assessments and finding practical solutions (though what Congress is actually ‘devoted’ to seems suspect.)
A caution for this session of Congress which begins with a Virgo Full Moon, is to avoid perfectionism and an overly critical attitude toward others along with a tendency to allow emotions and rationality to clash–for it’s difficult to distinguish between them.
In Sun Sign-Moon Sign, the Harveys give interesting Images for Integration to describe the Sun Pisces-Moon Virgo pair of energies: “Small events bring enormous consequences…Faith and reason shake hands.”
Perhaps the best advice for everyone–very much including our political miscreants and radicals about to bring our financial matters to a halt–comes from famed psychologist Roberto Assagioli who was born under the influences of the Sun Pisces-Moon Virgo blend and observed that:

If you’re familiar with Mundane or Political Astrology, you know that the Sun signifies the president in the US, or more generally, leaders and leadership.
Having published today’s post at Stars Over Washington concerning the 113th Congress, it just occurred to me that I neglected to describe one of the new Congress’ important midpoint pictures involving the Sun and the Neptune/North Node midpoint, with its potentials for scandals, glamorization of national ideals, drug policies that ignore important concerns, spies or terrorists on villainous missions, and/or inadequate medical care and/or hospital systems. (Munkasey.)
So here is the picture thus created by nebulous, obfuscating Neptune and NN (contacts, meetings, encounters, and future direction):
Neptune-NN = Sun: a determination to be original (Munkasey); seeking contacts, or else feeling misunderstood (Tyl); feeling disappointed or let down by others (Ebertin.)

Darrell Issa’s Sun Scorpio-Moon Virgo
You’ve seen Politico‘s current feature on Darrel Issa’s list of investigations into the Obama administration once the 112th Congress opens on Wednesday January 5, 2011.
It’s like the GOP vs Bill Clinton all over again and broadcaster Thom Hartmann has said that if the Rs can distract the people for long enough, they can hide the fact that the GOP has no new ideas for moving the country forward. I must concur with Mr. Hartmann though I sincerely believe that moving the country toward fascism is closer to Washington’s intention.
As of January 5th, Mr. Issa will be chairman of the ‘top oversight committee’ in Congress which grumps me up no end for if Congress hadn’t vacated its oversight duties years ago we might not be in the financial mess we’re in, yet Issa is passionately itching to use the congressional ‘oversight’ function to plague and undermine the GOP’s political opponents prior to the 2012 presidential campaign!
Issa has called the Obama administration “one of the most corrupt ever” as if other adminstrations have been pussycats and Congress is lily white – puh-leese!
Where was Issa when the US financial system needed oversight? Or during the lied-into-wars of Bush-Cheney fought on credit card? Actually Issa was one of the culprits cheerleading for Washington’s one-world-government plan which requires endless war and financial collapse.

An Astro-Peek

Wintry Thoughts for December 13, 2010
Today is Monday December 13, 2010 and the US is gripped in Winter’s grasp in many regions of our nation with 8 days to go until Winter Solstice 2010. Yes, WordPress’ snowflakes across the page look festive and perfect for the season!
Now no one knows why the muse of bad poetry tends to light rather frequently upon my shoulder. If I could explain it I could probably stop it. But not today for I’m in a holiday mood that begs for snowy expression however minor it may be:

Kucinich to force Afghan w/drawal vote
As you’ve heard, The Hill is reporting that Rep Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) plans an attempt to force a vote to remove US troops from Afghanistan now that President Obama has drifted from his July 2011 intention.
Dennis John Kucinich was born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 8, 1946 at 5:53 pm est, the eldest of seven children in a Roman Catholic family, his father of Croatian ancestry. If I remember correctly, Mr. Kucinich has shared his correct birth time for the benefit of astrological study.

here, if you wish a view – you’ll see his realistic and dedicated Saturn/Pluto conjunction in Leo (6-degree orb) along with 14Aries56 rising. With Mars as chart-ruler, some of the following factors may be mitigated by the activist planet of determination.
Let’s take a brief look at his misty, ethereal Air-Water combination of Sun Libra-Moon Pisces: adaptable and sensitive, this blend of energies provides a perceptive intellect, sociability, and idealism. A genteel diplomacy makes for one of the nicest people around but with a detective’s mind and an air of mystery about him.

Capping wells but not liability for spills
Yesterday the Democrats gave up on passing before their break a bill which would establish unlimited liability for corporate oil spills.
Meanwhile, BP says their current efforts to cap and stop the Gulf Gusher have proved successful – mud has saved the day, say they. Yet this assurance comes from a disengenuous corporation that also says that most of the ‘spilled’ oil has mysteriously disappeared!
Putting on my thinking cap, this can hardly be the case, now can it? ‘Look within the marshes and the water columns’ would be the first suggestion on my list.

How odd that these experts can leak oil in massive amounts but have trouble finding it not 4 months later! Why, it’s almost as if the carcenogenic dispersants BP used have affected their eyesight and they’re hoping that mass hypnosis saves them further trouble and expense.
Meanwhiler, Capitol Hill can’t get its act together before the break so the concept of justice for the people and for an injured environment will be going on vacation as well…and until further notice.
Of quakes, earth wobbles, shorter days, and Rangel
Here’s an article that explains what’s going on with last weekend’s massive 8.8 Chilean quake and its effect on earth’s wobble.
Shorter days are said to be a result of the quake in Chile and one may suppose that ethics-challenged Charlie Rangel’s stepping down from the Chairmanship of the Tax-Writing panel in Washington DC may result in shorter days for him as well.
This morning at 10:03 am est, I happened to have C-SPAN tuned in when Rangel’s brief resignation letter was read on the floor and immediately accepted.

This would include the memorial service now underway for Rep John Murtha, the first Vietnam veteran elected to serve in the US Congress, and himself fallen in recent years under his own challenged-ethics cloud. Yet Rep Murtha was a champion on behalf of our troops and I thank him sincerely for that. May he RIP.

Well, I don’t know if it took a ‘team of writers’ to compose Rep Rangel’s letter of resignation (a step-down which is said to be “temporary”) since it was too brief to glean its brilliance readily but it’s a dance step that had to be taken by Mr. Rangel.
I hear Tom Delay’s former spot in the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ line-up of hoofers may be available. All parading peacocks with Taurean hoofs may wish to apply.
Astrology: House passage of Health Reform Bill 11.7.09
When the House passed Health Care legislation last evening officially at 11:15 pm est (at 11:07 pm the vote count reached the required 218 votes), the Sun Sco/Moon Cancer blend was indicating these ‘Images for Integration’…
‘A mother eagle defends her babies with immense courage…A surgeon develops life-saving methods…A mother passionately defends her delinquent child and pleads for a compassionate verdict.’ (‘Sun Sign-Moon Sign’ by Chas and Suzi Harvey.)
This Water-Water combo is the ‘mailed fist in a velvet glove’ blend of energies – and Sun @ ’15Sco’? That’s the Eagle Point degree as noted in the Images above. There are resilience, intuition, and emotional tenacity along with an ability to “feel where things are at” within this combo.
And while this may describe the Democratic leadership or certain members of the party concerning this legislation, I believe it describes even more closely President Obama whose phone call – ‘feeling where things are at’ – may have ‘turned’ the one Republican who voted ‘yea’ after hearing Mr. Obama’s dulcet tones (or after receiving a back-scratching promise of some kind?)
