Limbaugh inspires limerick

You’ve heard of a cat they call Rush

who spouts from his powerful tush

with GOP cred

he wishes Dems dead

though some say he’s just a big lush.

George the Magic White Boy

Having an irrepressible kitty cat like Lim who does like his rhymery and his Politics, it makes smart  kitty sense that Lim would eventually respond to the Magic Negro parody of Barack Obama with his own ditty – also sung to the tune of ‘Puff the Magic Dragon.’

This may be Lim’s way of bidding adieu to our 43th resident, George Bush:

http://limslimericks.blogspot.com/2009/01/george-magic-white-boy-sing-along.html

(‘resident’ is no typo, fyi.)

And don’t fret – Republicans, including radio’s Rush Limbaugh, have played the Obama parody ad nauseum using the ‘he’s black, too’ justification because it was created by a black man, David Ehrenstein.

So? Well, Lim is a Leo the Lion kitty…Bush has Leo rising and Mercury, Venus, and Pluto in Leo in his 1st house of Self. He even has Leo the Lion’s slightly crossed eyes and a heart full of pride.

So by GOP logic,  it’s okay for Lim to parody another Leo, right?

Dueling Parodies! Makes me wonder if ‘Rush the Magic Gasbag’ can be far behind! Lim may be scratching it into his litterbox as I type…better go check…’scuse me…

Thanksgiving Wishes and Steaming Dishes!

turkey-1121061

Yon turkey roasting in the pan

we simmer greens for Uncle Stan

got Aunt Belinda’s mac’n'cheese

and pumpkin pie that’s sure to please

sweet yellow corn is on the cob

those yams are bubbling on the hob

i got a chance and had to say

y’all have a fab Thanksgiving Day!

Prez Election Rhyme: it had to be done

Well, the November 2008 prez election is closing in and will be here before we know it - I waited for you long as I could but apparently you hadn’t written anything of the rhymery persuasion so it had to be done such as it is:

http://limslimericks.blogspot.com/2008/08/prez-election-rhyme-2008.html

This rhyme’s not the fault of Mr. A. Cat…all the blame’s on me this time.

Of course, you could’ve stopped it but you didn’t. And I know you’re busy. We’re all busy. I just happened to have an extra 25 minutes earlier tonight and this is one of the things that can happen when you give me a pen, paper, and some free minutes.

Okay, my peace has been said now so I’ll go watch Kiefer Sutherland on The Late Late Show with TV’s Craig Ferguson (sans moustache, thank goodness.) Reminnnnd you of anyone?

Cat limericks Obama’s overseas tour

At last! Mr. A. Cat has gotten through to us at Lim’s Limericks with a freshly scratched limerick which seems to apply to Barack Obama’s recent overseas tour of presidentiness:

Karl No-Show Rove

As you know, Mr. Defiant was a no-show yesterday on Capitol Hill, so I penned a poem in honor of a man who knows all the Bush skeletons personally:

Cat from Iran: a limerick

There once was a cat from Iran

who got hot and turned on a fan

it wasn’t enough

to cool off his fluff

so atoms were split in Tehran.

He worked long and hard on the splits

while George threw incompetent fits

by acting so proud

no weapons allowed

or sanctions will come in a blitz.

So who gave the arms race it’s start?

who played the gargantuan part?

America’s clout

could take the world out

but that wouldn’t be very smart.

political vacation: family in from out of town

do you have a pink chair?

After last evening’s phone call from an offspring, I suddenly discover that family (see photo) will be descending from out of town this evening. This is good news for us, not so good news for my blogging habit.

And yet there is a political poem just penned….an open poem to the next president, no matter who the globalists decide to install in the White House. They are, as we know, the Deciders–yet still I must ask:

In Politics it’s always good

to keep yourself misunderstood

campaign Atlantic to Pacific

just don’t be over specific

play your cards close to your chest

and don’t reveal your fondest quest

until you’re in then none can fuss

(it’s not as if you’re one of us)

so hold fast to your power dreams

ignore it when your nation screams

we’re undermined and oversold

and wonder where you’ve put our gold

In Politics it’s pocket-lining

power’s sun is always shining

White House turning shades of gray

so how much more is there to say

except will you be friend or foe?

Constituents would like to know.

Sorry but it’s true:

See the depths of what prez campaign fatigue can lead to? Even my cats are complaining (photo of Wiley included in above-linked post. He’s a longhaired beauty but oh so wumped out!)
