Cat from Iran: a limerick
There once was a cat from Iran
who got hot and turned on a fan
it wasn’t enough
to cool off his fluff
so atoms were split in Tehran.
He worked long and hard on the splits
while George threw incompetent fits
by acting so proud
no weapons allowed
or sanctions will come in a blitz.
So who gave the arms race it’s start?
who played the gargantuan part?
America’s clout
could take the world out
but that wouldn’t be very smart.

Blogging Cat limericks McCain!
Spycat in training? Here’s Topaz showing Wiley how to snoop…photo by Maya.
Yes, it’s true…Lim the political limerickster has written a new rhyme to be found here: http://limslimericks.blogspot.com/2008/02/cat-from-mccain.html and I, Lim’s roommate, am only the typist, remember…
Feline Whereabouts Update: Mr.A.Cat, the original inspiration, bard, and muse of Lim’s Limericks, is still overseas on a tres secret mission. His imminent date of return is currently unknown, but you can still check out Lim’s political rhymeries written in honor of Mr.A.Cat, an agent formerly in service to our nation.
Where may he be? I don’t know and Lim won’t say. Waterboards won’t work on such a stalwart fellow as Lim–he’s seen it all before and has had excellent training, the rumor goes.
In fact, I’ve never laid eyes on the elusive Mr.A. and I confess with nary a prod: I don’t even know what the “A” stands for!
Years back our family lived with a beautful Turkish Van, aka the “swimming cat”–now there’s a fellow who would’ve been immune to waterboarding.

Art of Politics or Politics of Art? Not here!
Well, not s’much anyway.
But you will find a blend of Art bwo my oil and watercolour pencil drawings, and Politics bwo Political Astrology (actually called, Mundane Astrology) here at Jude’s Threshold where I like to smoosh together all my interests including Political Cat Limericks which I purloin from:
http://limslimericks.blogspot.com (kitty litter scratches from our main bard and muse Mr.A.Cat, an agent formerly in service to our nation–contains some cat photos, too);
http://starsoverwashington.blogspot.com (looking under the hood of Politics bwo the Stars overhead–AND it’s linky rich);
and there’s the occasional mention here of modestly priced Art Downloads from my Lulu Storefront:
http://stores.lulu.com/judecowell plus, you are welcome to request a particular image for addition to Lulu if you find one you favor overmuchly, perhaps from:
http://cosmicpersonadesigns.blogspot.com (mask-infused, archetypal, Chiffonery and Erotic Art–for 17+ers);
http://secretmoonart.blogspot.com (cosmic, moon, botanical, children’s, and Fairy Art);
http://dreamyfishart.blogspot.com (botanical portraits of tropical fish ensnared within their private dream scenarios–Saturn’s realism meets Neptune’s undersea illusions.)

Snow Moon in Gemini comin’ Nov 24
Here’s a smally post on the Full Moon of Nov 24, Moon 1Gem55, Sun 1Sag55:
http://starsoverwashington.blogspot.com/2007/11/crystal-pomeroy-says-that-upcoming.html
The chart in relation to America has me feelin’ droopy so my post won’t have all the info you may want about the subject, but of course this Full Moon (being a lovely Snow Moon and all) will be oft’ revealed–your browser will have great difficulty missing it in various spots slathered over the ‘net for your perusal.
And you may wish to click above link to find Crystal Pomeroy’s ‘portal to the Snow Moon’ article, plus the chart for the Full Moon itself shining over the White House, 9:29:48 pm est, Icarus ascending.
Yet Moon stuff is cool even if you don’t do rituals and such.
And it’s quite poetic to read all the same, isn’t it? After all, the Moon was placed in our neighborhood to cast light in the evenings so that our paths may be lightened. Courteous!

And in honor of the season–and hopefully you’ll have a few root veggies roasting in a pan some chilly night–here’s ’Limerick for Common Veggies’ which I published at http://judecowell.gather.com already…set the butter out:
The spicy little raddish
is not considered faddish
but take a bite
it’s always right
for lassie and for laddish.
The ordinary pea
exalted here by me
will do you good
it’s understood
by land or air or sea.
And then we have the leek
the vegetable you seek
snug in a stew
it’s tasty too
for lunch one day next week.
You know we love the beans
way down in New Orleans
with rice all brown
to toast the town
that knows what good food means.
Up North the spud is king
a broccoli-laden thing
with cheese or not
just serve it hot
and kudos soon will ring.
So steam your veggies hot
in saucepan or a pot
the joy they bring
is what I sing
and that says quite a lot.

Blackwater “investigation” successfully derailed
The Blackwater “investigation” has been successfully stalled by the granting of immunity to the gurads involved: http://my.earthlink.net/article/top?guid=20071029/472568d0_3421_133452007102988905091
and it’s okay to say, pshaw! if you like.
But Mr.A.Cat has more to say than pshaw! to say, in fact he’s in quite a huff over it–and over the fact no one will say under whose authority the immunity was granted to Blackwater guards!
So you may wish to overlook this nasty bit of limerick which I republish here with Mr.A.’s full permission, titled, Blackwater Kitty:
A kitty liked water so black
he flew all the way to Iraq
just give him a gun
Iraqis will run
while shooting themselves in the back.
–Mr.A.Cat

Who would limerick NYSE’s DOW?
Mr. A.Cat, that’s who! I can hardly believe it–it’s unheard of, but Lim and Mr.A.Cat have given me permission to publish Mr.A.’s latest ill-tempered limerick which concerns the bumpy ride of the NYSE this week–here at Jude’s Threshold. Cats are so erratic in their unpredictability!
Usually Mr.A. scratches stanzas into his litterbox grit and then emails, tera-mails, or phones them in to http://limslimericks.blogspot.com — often in the wee hours of the morning (the rhymes, not the grit.)
World markets are unstable now, to be sure, but I fail to see how Mr.A’s rhyminess can help matters in the least. And the touted and finagled ‘global economy’ has made global financial collapse possible…duh!
So…as I’m employed as their blog’s typist, I can do no less than pass on to you here Mr.A.Cat’s groanworthy verse, so here goes. (But if you’re overly sensitive or allergic to limericks I suggest you Click Away Right Now before the swelling sets in.)
When kittens invest in the DOW
they harvest the moola and how
until things get rough
which ruffles their fluff
they cheat all the law will allow.
Mr.A.Cat, Esq.
Jude again–with the current position of Pluto (26Sag30) conjunct Black Thursday’s Saturn (26Sag48) –Black Thursday, Oct 29, 1929 ushering in the Depression–things look bleak indeed.
And if I had time to post on the rest of the chart’s transits, I might do so.
Hopefully the FED’s pumping more liquidity into the market will ease the fears which can only help calm jittery nerves. The bacon needs saving!
Suffice it to say that when old J.P.Morgan said most tellingly that: “Millionaires don’t use Astrology, billionaires do,” he was revealing the fact that everything happens in cycles, including financial things–and what goes around comes around–and Astrology is useful to the nth degree.
And today’s Wall St. wheeler-dealers and international world bankers (including the FED crew) would be even stupider than they appear right now if they hadn’t seen this instability coming from wa-a-a-y back.
Obviously SOMEONE is making billions of bucks on the current ‘correction’ but you can be sure it isn’t the ordinary investor. And the ripples from the 9/11 attacks continue to spread along with hackers who are muddying the waters.
Cat writes political limerick: Karl Rove’s fluff
Even the fluff of Karl Rove won’t protect him from the snarly Mr.A.Cat’s rhyminess.
A former agent in service to our nation, the elusive Mr.A. has penned a limerick in the litterbox of political verse for you to read–a limerick which concerns Mr. Rove and his sassy ways…
http://limslimericks.blogspot.com/2007/08/shy-little-kitten-named-rove.html
Who knew cats could be so political? Did you?
Yet the kitty cat in the chair, pictured above, looks fairly harmless, don’t you agree? Rather settled in, I might add.
