Ever wanted to be drenched in a rich raspberry color? Well, if your raspberry beret is nowhere in sight, why not knit or crochet yourself a new one in a syle of your choosing with my daughter Maya’s hand-dyed and spun yarn, Raspberry Beret?
Wintry weather and gift-giving season are soon upon us, y’know!
Brr-r-r-! You may read Raspberry Beret’s full bio with suggested needle size and other details in Maya’s fiberista-inspired Etsy Shop, as you wish!
Can ‘vintage shopping’ help save the environment?
Maybe not so much but it can certainly look stylish, oui?
And here’s a second view from a different angle!
Having a plethora of Capricorn planets natally certainly helps me resonate with the number 8 even though in Numerology, I am considered a 9.
Whether 8-ish or 9-ish, I had a little time just now to snoop ’round the interweb and I found an interesting article concerning the Olympics and Saturn’s 8 vibration. You may wish to check it out at BrightStarLights, a blog of “Astrology, Fashion, and Celebrities”…where you can also read astrological info about your favorite celebrities – stars of the stars:
While it’s true that Saturn, as the ancient ruler of Astrology, is in touch with the occult number 8, still we tend to think of the old Lesson-bringer as being connected to the number 10 because of Saturn’s natural house in modern horoscopes. Which may go to show that all is connected underneath – or that ‘modern’ Astrology isn’t always completely in tune with traditional, ancient teachings, teachings which were certainly culturally sound in their time.
Then you may as well add 8 + 10 = 18 = 9.
And there you go, 9 = the number of Completion!
Hope this Art Slideshow displays in your browser but if not, go to http://slide.com/judecowell
and take your pick of several displays of my artwork.
If you’re an artist, you may add an image of your own to one of my collections, but no photos please, and keep to the theme, if you may. Thanks!
Faye’s Magic Lamp, drawing by jude cowell 2008…not Aladdin’s Lamp prexactly, but you may still click to enlarge for the genie just may appear.
So why, Frisky Friday Art? Friday is the day of Venus who appreciates the creative arts! (Perhaps not mine, but generally speaking, she does.)
And it’s my poor attempt to balance the weightier and lamentable subject matter to be found here bwo astrologically based comments on…ugh and arghhh…politics, that organized system of hatreds in process of overtaking, undermining, and overwhelming our lives.
For the majority of our global population, the New Millennium sux so far–and I blame it primarily on racketeering, warmongering, conscience-free sociopaths. How ’bout you?
(And please don’t pretend you don’t know their names.)
Well, not s’much anyway.
But you will find a blend of Art bwo my oil and watercolour pencil drawings, and Politics bwo Political Astrology (actually called, Mundane Astrology) here at Jude’s Threshold where I like to smoosh together all my interests including Political Cat Limericks which I purloin from:
http://limslimericks.blogspot.com (kitty litter scratches from our main bard and muse Mr.A.Cat, an agent formerly in service to our nation–contains some cat photos, too);
http://starsoverwashington.blogspot.com (looking under the hood of Politics bwo the Stars overhead–AND it’s linky rich);
and there’s the occasional mention here of modestly priced Art Downloads from my Lulu Storefront:
http://stores.lulu.com/judecowell plus, you are welcome to request a particular image for addition to Lulu if you find one you favor overmuchly, perhaps from:
http://cosmicpersonadesigns.blogspot.com (mask-infused, archetypal, Chiffonery and Erotic Art–for 17+ers);
http://secretmoonart.blogspot.com (cosmic, moon, botanical, children’s, and Fairy Art);
http://dreamyfishart.blogspot.com (botanical portraits of tropical fish ensnared within their private dream scenarios–Saturn’s realism meets Neptune’s undersea illusions.)
So I hope you’ll mosey by a blog or two on my list for Stars, Politics, cat rhymeries, or to view some of the online gallery images which make up this web of snuggly fabric of creativity which I’ve weaved into a tapestry just for you!

Here’s Panacea as icon, but earlier this evening I published the full view of Panacea’s Pink Fringe, here:
where you’ll also find a few notes on this Greek goddess and her kin.
Panacea was known for cures and remedies–things that are sadly in short supply in this old world. Do ever get the feeling as I do that world ‘leaders’ don’t WANT things to go any better? That chaos is the point? Me, too.
And drop by http://starsoverwashington.blogspot.com
if you will, for today I splashed up John Quincey Adams’ natal chart with a few details, including a timely quote from our 6th president concerning America and war.
Oh! and you are invited to mosey over to my Gather Pages at:
for a variety of stuff to read and view. And join Gather, if you haven’t, so we can schmooze!
Leona and her psychedelic dream may be viewed in full at:
Click ‘Home’ when you arrive to experience my new Cosmic Persona Designs Art Cube which is spinning and playing a Colbie Caillat tune just for you!
Are you experienced? (asked Jimi Hendrix)
And a Diana Krall tune too!
