Fay on way

Tropical storm Fay has killed 4 people already and is on her way toward the Florida Straits and the Gulf of Mexico, and is set to sweep through Cuba first, they said on my TV.

Fay – or ‘Faye’ in my family! - is a faerie-esque name that I’ve always liked and have even used it for one of my archetypal drawings, Faye’s Magic Lamp. Not much magic in stormy Fay, however, and I wish all well who may find themselves in her path.

It does seem that bad weather follows eclipses and August has been replete with Solar and Lunar lunations, hasn’t it? And August, forever my least favorite month, isn’t over yet.

So here’s a small something for the 17+ers (which may be two out of three readers, as I realize daily – otherwise who keeps searching for the word, ‘weed’?)…anyway, you may have seen this drawing’s image on this very blog, but here’s the original publishment of Faye’s Magic Lamp:

Frisky Friday Art: late than never

Yes, the friskiness has left the building in many time zones…translation: this drawing is being published quite late for Frisky Friday Art.

And it’s not as if I splash up one of my archetypal Chiffonery Art images every Friday, Venus’ day though it may be.

Still, I hope Dora (titled prior to my hearing of the children’s character, Dora)–I hope that this Dora and her primal emotions of material envy are of some small entertainment for you, Lone Viewer, because with the way the world is going, you could definitely use a smidge of mindless visual fluff.

Frisky Friday Art: Faye’s Magic Lamp

So why, Frisky Friday Art? Friday is the day of Venus who appreciates the creative arts! (Perhaps not mine, but generally speaking, she does.)

And it’s my poor attempt to balance the weightier and lamentable subject matter to be found here bwo astrologically based  comments on…ugh and arghhh…politics, that organized system of hatreds in process of overtaking, undermining, and overwhelming our lives.

For the majority of our global population, the New Millennium sux so far–and I blame it primarily on racketeering, warmongering, conscience-free sociopaths. How ’bout you?

For weeks I’ve waited for this blog’s Top Searches to morph into something weighty, heavy…I don’t know…maybe…serious, like Politics, or Mundane Astrology.

Hasn’t happened yet and sheepishly I admit that the three top searches on this blog are:

erotic art, party, and weed. How crazy is that?!

The first term I understand–there are a few saucy art images perpetrated by yours truly here although most may be found at my Cosmic Persona Designs gallery: http://cosmicpersonadesigns.blogspot.com for the 17+ among us. And sometimes I refer to erotic art as Chiffonery Art because there’s usually a little chiffon somewhere in the picture.

No Garth lurks, but there may be some drawings around here and elswhere with the word ‘Party’ in the title, and a few grumpy mentions of a ‘political party’ as well, so okay, I get it. 

But–weed?

Well, perhaps I should apologize for disappointing because the only ‘weed’ here is a botanical drawing I rendered of a Slender weed whiting of Western Australia…it’s one of my Dreamyfish Art drawings from http://dreamyfishart.blogspot.com
