Fairy Path w Moss uploaded for Drawing Day 2011!
June 4, 2011: Decided to upload my entry for World Drawing Day 2011 to my flickr stream.
Title? ‘Fairy Path w Moss Drawing Day 2011′ by jude cowell.
So have you checked out any of the entries yet? A book publishing will result of a selection of today’s uploaded drawings including some childrens’ drawings which is cool. And there’s lots of Art to view in the online gallery linked below.
Well, I do declare that Drawing Day is the largest art project Ever! You can feel it, can’t you?
And Art appears: Hermesia!
Look, it’s mercurial Hermesia thinking of past and future while simultaneously planning to languish about this weekend and get herself in the mood for a cozy hibernating season 2010!
Yet still the curiosity of Mercury’s handmaiden, Hermesia, continues…
A popular Search term: ‘erotic art’
Yes, it’s true, a popular search term for this blog continues to be ‘erotic art’ and you’ll find some here plus at Sepia Art Theater, if you wish.
Yet more and more I personally refer to my racier drawings as ‘Cosmo-Erotic Art’ since that seems to describe them better, imo.
The latest such drawings perpetrated may always be found in my Cosmic Persona Designs collection of Chiffonery Art and Boudoir Blossoms images, so if you’re in the 17+ age range you may click through the Adult Content Warning and browse at your leisure. A Labels List is provided to orient you so you won’t get lost.
And yet I feel that ‘adult content’ is rather strong for what I do – mildly ‘racy’ or ‘saucy’ would be closer to characterizing the fanciful figure studies with cosmic flavor which I call, Cosmo-Erotic Art.
Plus, you may wish to check out the Pages column here to your left under “Chiffonery Art” if you haven’t as yet. You’ll find a few ladies’ portraits waiting for you there…
Art On,

‘Pink Tiger Pink Moon’ appears along with ‘Grey Tiger’, Dreamyfish Art designs of botanical fish drawings, plus a few Cosmic themes for your designer neckties…hmmm?
SkyWriter spotlights Secret Moon Art!
If you know anything about the professional world of Astrology, you know the work and reputation of master astrologer Donna Cunningham, author of 17 books which include her invaluable ‘Healing Pluto Problems’.
For her stellar contributions to the Astrology community, Donna is a recipient of the prestigious Regulus Award, which here on earth is as far in the heavens as you can go in the realm of the ancient art.
So naturally I am herefore ‘pleased as a puppy with two tails’ to announce our collaboration When Art and Astrology Combine, a guest post that Donna graciously requested from yours truly and which contains a link to a Private Art Show set up for Donna’s wonderful SkyWriter readers…and for you, if you’d care to take an Art Browse of Cosmic and Moon Art images.
So please enjoy and be refreshed…and shine on Harvest Moon in Aries!

Frisky Friday Art: Ruby’s Red Flowers
Frisky Friday has rolled round again but since I’m having trouble with WordPress image uploads since I upgraded to IE8, I’m passing on a link to you of ‘Posing with Posies: Ruby’s Red Flowers’ a recent drawing in my Boudoir Blossoms collection of designs.
Note: my art gallery blog ‘Cosmic Persona Designs’ contains some adult or erotic art images (aka ‘Chiffonery Art’) although Ruby is quite innocent…’Ruby’s Red Flowers’ shouldn’t offend even the most discriminating, finicky viewer.
And Venus, whose favorite day of the week is Friday, is symbolized by Roses and probably loves the rest of the flower kingdom, too.
Actually Venus is quite the art patron, so have yourself a gallery sashay in support of the Arts, if you may!
Moon-Venus-Mars hook up for Earth Day 2009
Wow, there’s quite a celestial rendezvous occurring at ’30 Pisces’ as the Moon occults Venus in the wee hours of April 22, 2009…which also happens to be our annual Earth Day.
And here’s my special post for all earthlings (I assume that if you’re reading this, you’re an earthling, right?) on the occasion of 2009′s Earth Day, just barely hangin’ on though we all may be.
Oo la la! say romantic twosome Venus and Mars, for Love really does make the world go round, you know. Because if hatred had its way, we wouldn’t be here at all.
Moon Art for a Monday

Moonlight Path
Monday is the Moon’s day and since the Aquarian Solar Eclipse is fresh (occurring here at 2:55 am est), I thought a shout-out to Luna on her day was a good way to begin the week.
Drawing: Prismacolor oil, Rexel Derwent watercolour pencils (dry) on black paper; perpetrated by Jude Cowell, natal Moon in Pisces, Sun in Capricorn.
So now, for all of us who were born with Sun in Capricorn-Moon in Pisces:
Sun Cap-Moon Pisces (Earth-Water): scientist and poet; a pragmatic dreamer; an imaginative organizer; tough and tender; dependable but private; both practical and dreamy.
Self-reflection makes this combo serious and solemn at times but allows deep insight into others’ plights. A natural humanitarian with a penchant for mystery, this blend makes for one who isn’t always sure if she’s the cat’s meow or something the cat dragged in.
Quietly bringing order out of chaos is a talent (which astrologers recognize as a helpful trait!), and there’s a capacity to give form and substance to imagination.
Weaknesses include: fear of the unknown, a pathetic tendency to carry other people’s burdens, and a tendency to lose confidence through negative thought patterns.
The Sun Cap-Moon Pisces blend is shared natally by:
Benjamin Franklin (an astrologer, as you know), Paul Cezanne (one of my top 3 favorite Impressionists), Elvis Presley (well, as a kid I liked his music), J. Edgar Hoover (ee-euww!), Sandy Koufax (saw him play on TV watching baseball with my Dad), Ava Gardner (now there was a beauty), Keith Thomas (author of ‘Religion and the Decline of Magic’), and J. R. R. Tolkein (read ‘The Hobbit’ when it was brand new but couldn’t get through all of The Trilogy, it wore me out! Sorry.)
Let’s hear a peep from Ben – here is one of the more practical bits of advice from Ben Franklin – it’s one of my favorites of his quotes:
‘Dost thou love life? Then do not squander time, for that’s the stuff life is made of.’
And Astrology is what brings the element of Time to the table!
Images for Integration:
‘A wine collector uncorks a rare vintage to celebrate a success…A child builds a sandcastle of reinforced concrete…Bilbo in Tolkein’s ‘Lord of the Rings’…’Bathers in a Landscape’ by Cezanne…Elvis Presley’s ‘Blue Suede Shoes’. (‘Sun Sign-Moon Sign’ by Chas & Suzi Harvey.)
The ‘sandcastle/reinforced concrete’ reminds me of his help in founding America, ya know? Ideal-idea of freedom into manifestation and all that, with Uranus, planet of revolution and rebellion, discovered in 1781 – between the American Revolution and the French Revolution.
So it was Uranus’ creative spark (Plato’s Ideal) poured into Saturnian form, circa 1776, and voila! a New Atlantis: America.
Well, thanks for taking a meander with me down a Moonlight Path on the Moon’s Day. Hope you enjoyed yourself!
