Jude’s Threshold: 2012 in review!
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
4,329 films were submitted to the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. This blog had 37,000 views in 2012. If each view were a film, this blog would power 9 Film Festivals
Global Astrology forecasts 2012
Year 2012 has begun in such a busy way for me with ‘real world’ tasks and projects that I’m posting only a shout-out here today to mundane astrologer Theodore White’s freshly published Cardinal Crisis Mundane Forecasts 2012 to be certain you don’t miss it as the revolutionary pair, Uranus and Pluto, continue squaring one another off and on in Cardinal signs Aries and Capricorn all through 2012.
As you know, our current Uranus/Pluto cycle began in the mid-1960s (@ 17 Virgo) and their square (blockage; obstacles; frustration) phase has brought up similarly explosive uprisings over societal issues such as Human Rights and the need to rebalance our conditions lest things tip beyond repair.
Their square times a generational stand-off as well and remarks against how America has been poorly handled by the ‘boomer generation’ may often be heard concerning our screw-ups and corruptions. As one of those awful ‘boomers’ I must agree with this view–yet the controlling Pluto in the equation represents the wealthiest 1% of plutonians, oligarchs, and monarchs while Uranus, the Radical Rebel, signifies those who prefer change and progress–as do I!
So for an astrological overview of 2012 as no one else can, check out Theodore’s new column when you dare, okay?

You may also wish to try one of my early posts of the New Year Election 2012, Mars/Neptune, and ‘The City of the Sun’, and whenever you can amass together on behalf of the common good…Occupy!
Also recommended: void the corporate Citizens United! Visit Move To Amend to particpate–on their calendar is a peaceful ‘Occupy the Courts’ protest scheduled for January 20, 2012 at noon in Washington DC with my favorite progressive broadcaster Thom Hartmann taking part.
Have you seen Donald Trump’s birth certificate?
Well, I’ve seen it as can you, and all astrologers – especially those of the Mundane Astrology persuasion – are pleased I know that ‘presidential candidate’ and mogul-tycoon Donald Trump’s time of birth may be clearly seen listed on the form and viewable well in time for the 2012 campaign madness.
Trump was born in NYC on June 14, 1946 at…ah, now, you don’t want me to spoil the surprise, do you? ;p
UPDATE 4.19.11: while watching Thom Hartmann‘s broadcast on TV today the topic of Donald Trump’s birth certificate came up. In doing so, mention was made of something I had totally forgotten though now I remember hearing about it a lot back-in-the-day of Trump’s marriages, divorces, acquisitions, and bankruptcies when he was always in the news: that he was born in South Africa.
Now that isn’t what you’ll see on his BC linked above for it says ‘Queens NY’ so either someone was deceptive then (on many occasions) – or shenanigans are afoot.
As you know, if born in South Africa, Donald Trump cannot be US president in 2012 or in any other year in spite of his jumping on the ‘birther’ bandwagon against President Obama. So…maybe he can run for president of South Africa?
Solar Eclipse Jan 4, 2011: Sun Cap-Moon Cap
After a few days respite for the Thanksgiving Day holiday, I’m back to the salt mines of freebie blogging and putting out a little Political Astrology info for those who may care for Astrology used as a lens through which to view upclose the squirmy varmints of Politics.
Today is my first day back online so I spent it researching and typing a fresh Stars Over Washington post which concerns all the Solar (4) and Lunar (2) Eclipses of 2011 which you may perhaps find interesting.
You’ll discover that an image of the January 2011 Solar Eclipse @ 13Cap38 is shown; images of other 2011 eclipse horoscopes will be added to SO’W as time permits.
Yet what I didn’t mention in my post is info on the Sun-Moon blend of the January 2011 Solar Eclipse and so I shall add its details here.
Obviously, the sign Capricorn is highlighted with its law-government-business vibes; Sun Cap-Moon Cap is an Earth-Earth blend indicating down-to-earth and matter-of-fact influences. Patience, self-discipline, and realism are in evidence with this double helping of the ancient sign of the Mer Goat.
Sun Cap-Moon Cap fears chaos and I think all but the power elite can be said to ‘resemble that remark’ these days – especially given societal and economic conditions and the fact that 2011 will usher in the mysterious and much-touted year ’2012′.
This practical combo of Capricorn energies gives a steadfast, autocratic, self-absorbed, conscientious, ambitious and purposeful demeanor to the start of 2011. There’s a pathological need for authority and security with a deep desire to make oneself immune from attack (as if!); ruler Saturn brings in the fear; meanwhile, professional recognition is sought for one’s wisdom, accomplishments, and status in society.
(As you know, Saturn and Jupiter are our ‘societal planets’.)
The Jan 2011 Solar Eclipse opposes US natal Sun (‘the leader’) so President Obama is front and center, or possibly is ‘eclipsed’ in some way.
A heavy emphasis is placed on material gains/goals and self-advancement during a Capricorn eclipse season yet given the state of the US and global economy, it’s understandable, even necessary.
Well, perhaps the Cap-Cap tendency toward common sense, practicality, and dependability will improve economic matters for the collective since the power elite already have more money than they can waste and spend – other than buying US elections directly now instead of their old-fashioned indirect methods, thanks to SCOTUS’ Citizen’s United decision of January 2010.
“Image for Integration” of the Sun (conscious mind) and Moon (unconscious) energies for the Jan 4, 2011 Solar Eclipse:
“A hoary old grandfather sits in his chair with this grandson on his knee. He gives him a gift for his seventh birthday – a first-edition of Pilgrim’s Progress.”

A planetary Diamond for Dec 21, 2012?
Having just discovered Grand Trine’s analysis of special planetary configurations at the Winter Solstice of Dec 21, 2012 (the date marked on everyone’s calendar), an analysis which includes the unsettling YOD, plus a Diamond pattern that forms 15 hours later, I want to share the article link with you before I dash out the door (gotta motor!)
Plus, this makes it handier to locate the article for closer reading after I return. So check it out, if you’re into the 2012 stuff through the excellent lens of Astrology, and I’ll catch you and Grand Trines later…
National Geographic on 2012′s ‘end of the world’ myths
National Georgraphic Magazine attempts to debunk the Dec 21, 2012 end-of-world scenarios many folks are fearing by discussing the 2012 end of the world myths along with some basic Mayan Calendar info you may wish to review.
It all goes back to Venus…
