Betrayed: Twitter sells old tweet archive w all our tweets

Over a year ago I left FaceBook and have never looked back due to FB’s high-handed privacy abuses and other disturbing considerations such as Goldman-Sachs and possibly RUSSIA buying in, it was rumored.

(Also FB is a tremendous waste of time and I don’t like to piddle around that much. Capricorn, you know.)

Yet I have appreciated Twitter but now it looks as if my days and nights as a tweeter may be numbered as well because Twitter has sold their tweet archive–the old tweets we all assumed had ‘disappeared’–to corporate interests with clients lined up to take advantage of everyone’s private information, including GPS details.

Peep eye!

Guess the little bird that told ya is now going to tell someone else who has the money to purchase your private information. Very bad form, Twitter.

(Dear Reader: tweet this or the above-linked article, if you care!)

  1. My experiences have been similar. People I know who are lawyers call Facebook “Evidence.” Posting there can be dangerous. Ditto for Twitter. I do have a Twitter account, but only use it for (1) acquiring info and (2) promoting my GrandTrines posts. That’s it.

Hope your move to your new location went well. –GT
