Betrayed: Twitter sells old tweet archive w all our tweets

Over a year ago I left FaceBook and have never looked back due to FB’s high-handed privacy abuses and other disturbing considerations such as Goldman-Sachs and possibly RUSSIA buying in, it was rumored.

(Also FB is a tremendous waste of time and I don’t like to piddle around that much. Capricorn, you know.)

Yet I have appreciated Twitter but now it looks as if my days and nights as a tweeter may be numbered as well because Twitter has sold their tweet archive–the old tweets we all assumed had ‘disappeared’–to corporate interests with clients lined up to take advantage of everyone’s private information, including GPS details.

Peep eye!

Guess the little bird that told ya is now going to tell someone else who has the money to purchase your private information. Very bad form, Twitter.

(Dear Reader: tweet this or the above-linked article, if you care!)

Measuring Radiation in Tokyo brings mysterious death

Fukushima Diary reports on the story of Mr. Kabayama, a Tokyo city counselor and memeber of the Liberal Democratic Party, who posted a radiation measurement to his blog on June 30, 2011, and was found dead by his family on July 1, 2011–with a plastic bag covering his head.

Police are said to have ruled the death of the inconvenient Mr. Kabayama as a “suicide” which beggers belief, imho. Ever heard of someone committing suicide by such a method?

Since the time he was discovered is mentioned–3 am–I had a peek at the planets of July 1, 2011, Tokyo, 3 am, and found a difficult midpoint picture in force which involves the saboteur-assassin planet of plutonium-nuclear fame, Pluto:

Sun-Pluto = Saturn: ruthless overcoming of obstacles; physical impediment; restriction (of air to breathe–jc); separation. (Ebertin); a potential for fanatical ventures (Munkasey.)

As always with midpoint pictures, any, all, or none of the above may apply concerning the sad event of July 1, 2011–the day of a Solar Eclipse in Cancer, a Water sign of tides and oceans.

Here’s something I wrote prior to the July 2011 eclipse on my Political Astrology blog concerning the eclipse degree’s Sabian Symbol:

Solar Eclipse, July 1, 2011 (which Celeste Teal has labeled the “Democratic Spirit” eclipse) @ ’9Can12′ = ’9Can’ = “A Small Naked Girl Bends Over a Pond to Catch a Fish”; ‘Keynote: The first naive quest for knowledge and for an ever-elusive understanding of life.

“Small naked girl” = ‘the innocent and spontaneous mind, as yet unclothed in cultural patterns and unrestrained by don’ts, trying to satisfy its curiosity about what seems mysterious and fleeting. …The key here is PURITY IN UNDERSTANDING.’

My conclusion is that Mr. Kabayama was satisfying his curiosity about the true radiation levels around Tokyo and his untimely death indicates that someone didn’t want the measurements to be known.

Pisces New Moon forms Solar Eclipse from Space!

Celestial Path and Beyond

Well, I knew about today’s New Moon in Pisces, of course, but how cosmic and cool is this?

Space Weather News for Feb. 21, 2012

SOLAR ECLIPSE FROM SPACE: Earlier today the new Moon passed in front of the sun, producing a solar eclipse visible from space. High-resolution images of the event captured by NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory are featured on the Feb. 21st edition of SpaceWeather News.

Check out a few astro-details I’ve posted concerning today’s New Moon @ 3Pis42, exact at 5:34 pm est with Regulus Rising in Washington DC. As you know, Regulus is one of the Royal Stars of Persia with one major caution: success if revenge is avoided–too bad over-reaching Washington and the Pentagon seldom if ever take such good advice.

Greider: “Still No End to ‘Too Big to Fail’ ” w 2010 Eclipses

In The Nation, William Greider writes on February 14, 2012 that there is “Still No End to Too Big to Fail” and with this, who can possibly disagree?

Now if you, dear reader, practice or follow Political Astrology at all and were reasonably cognizant ;p during Summer 2010 when the rather toothless financial boondoggle that Washington calls the Dodd-Frank Bill was haggled over and signed into law on July 21, 2010, you perhaps remember the two significant eclipses which occurred that summer–and they relate to our financial topic now, February 2012.

1. On June 26, 2010, a Lunar Eclipse manifested @ 5 Capricorn conjunct transiting Pluto, planet of wealth and stealth. Add evaluating Venus of small-amounts-of-money fame to Lord of the Underworld, spying Pluto, and we have such themes as extremes of wealth hidden in secret places, attracting organized crime (of course Washington did that years ago), and/or bankruptcy (Munkasey), for separately both the Venusian archetype and the Plutonian archetype contain ‘shadow sides’ with definite streaks of greed and covetousness running through them. These negative traits can lead or add to either expression of the combined energies of Venus-Pluto.

Plus, as one of the ‘wild cards’ of the Universe as all eclipses tend to be (‘wild’ in a fashion similar to disruptive, electrifying Uranus, the unexpected), the June 2010 Lunar Eclipse (Moon = the people) is ruled by austere, restrictive, loss-prone Saturn bwo Capricorn. As you know, his Too Big to Fail legislation and corporate welfare bailouts chose Wall Street over Main Street in President Obama’s Washington.

2. Then on July 11, 2010, a Solar Eclipse occurred @ 19 Cancer near the Twin Stars of Gemini, Castor and Pollux. I’ll allow you to draw your own conclusions about their contacts in an attempt to briefen up this post! (Click links provided below for my notes on both eclipses.)

The July 2010 Solar Eclipse fell into the 12 South Saros Series which is actually quite a positive influence: ‘successful outcomes to long-term worries (or illness); a draining issue will at first seem worse, then clear’ (papraphrasing Brady’s Predictive Astrology.)

12S happens to be the Pre-Natal Eclipse Series of America’s founding which personalizes and focuses its effects within the US.

Of course, how can we know if what We the People think is the problem that needs clearing is what secretive politicians in Washington DC know is the problem. Is their
worry’ same as our ‘worry’? Will they ever be capable of setting aside political machinations and plutonian stealth tactics perpetrated in their own self-interests long enough to take the corrective actions our society truly needs?

Well, Pluto does have great capacities for regenerative self-healing, transformation, and coping ability! On this level, we might think of a Phoenix Rising from the Ashes, as the myth goes.

My former place of residence, Washington DC, as our nation’s capital, still matters to me and the success of our government is paramount in today’s oddly directed world. How unfortunate for those of us who prefer a sovereign, decently behaved America and a war-free world that the current crop of Machiavellians in Washington and in all other global capitals and nation-states, seem to practice only the darkest of Pluto’s political arts and are playing against their own populations a very deep game.

No edits have been done on either post, but if you wish to view the above mentioned Summer 2010 eclipses with horoscopes shown, try Lunar Eclipse June 26, 2010 and Solar Eclipse July 11, 2010 which also resonates with the 2007 conjunction of the Big-Banker duo of investing Jupiter and powerful Pluto.

Plus, here are a few astro-notes on the natal chart of Senator Chris Dodd written way before I realized what a dodgy character he is.

As you know, of late we’ve seen transiting Chiron at 00Pisces and Neptune, the higher octave planet of the mystical and murky sign Pisces, has been floating upon that very degree as well; America’s PE mentioned above occurred at 00Pis33 in 1776. 12S is also the PE of Nixon’s resignation and thus of Gerald Ford’s presidency–guess someone‘s ‘problem’ cleared when an unstable Tricky Dick exited the White House, and since I lived in DC during the ‘Watergate scandal’ I was more relieved than I can now express to see the vulturing varmint vamoose.

Whitney Houston’s sad passing w an astro-note about fights while married

It’s been a couple of hours since I noticed tweets of today’s sad passing of singer Whitney Houston and knowing that my files contained a copy of her birth horoscope, I peeked at a few pertinent charts along with her natal chart. My local TV channel just reported that she was found today in her Beverly Hilton hotel room by music mogul Clive Davis and pronounced dead at 3:55 pm PST; no signs of anything unsual have been reported.

(Update Feb 15: apparently it was her aunt who found her so ‘my local news channel’ got it wrong but you know that by now as more details come out.)

A career comeback was being planned but now naturally her too-soon demise has placed a hush of melancholy upon the February 12, 2012 Grammy Award ceremonies in L. A. and her passing definitely changes things.

Whitney Houston born August 9, 1963 @ 8:55 pm Newark, N.J. (Rodden Rating AA from birth certificate.) As you see, the lady was only 48 years old.

With 8Pis25 rising at the time of her birth, Jupiter is chart-ruler and creative Neptune, ruler of drugs and illusions, acts as chart co-ruler. As you know, Jupiter increases whatever ‘he’ contacts in a horoscope and too much of a good thing can be mighty dangerous for one susceptible to overindulgence in all manner of things (Moon/Jupiter conjunction) which may be pleasant enough in moderation–but moderation is more of a Saturnian function. Both Jupiter and Saturn are needed in order to create balance in our lives but perhaps her Jupiter/Saturn sextile (60 degr = promise) made the easy availability of ‘questionable practices’ one of her greatest weak spots.

Yes, with her natal Moon 17Ari05 conjunct n Jupiter 19:29 (the Exaltation of the Sun degree which adds to the need for ego recognition) in 1st house of Self and Physical Body, Ms. Houston’s emotional needs may have been boundless, similar to a negatively aspected Moon in its own sign of Cancer. Over use of pharmaceuticals and alcohol often cause skewed perceptions as well such as when things are ‘blown out of proportion’ during conflicts, and a deep sense of inferiority exists within a natal Sun/Saturn opposition (Leo Sun/AQ Saturn across the health-influencing 6/12 axis.)

So I looked at her last Jupiter Return since chart-ruling Mr. Abundant affects her physical body so health is sure to be involved in important transits of Jupiter which last conjoined natal position on April 18, 2011. Her Jupiter Return 2011 horoscope is ruled by Jupiter as well: Ascendant 18Sag49, with Jupiter in Return 4th house (Endings), surrounded by the Sun 28Ari45 and by the then-traveling conjunction of nervous Mercury (Rx) and upsetting Mars–13Ari39 and 13:08, respectively.

The ’14Aries’ degree seems particularly telling to me with its Sabian Symbol: “A Serpent Coiling Near a Man and a Woman” because of her and Bobby Brown’s history of fighting, violence, and separations. In fact, in all the charts I consulted, there are indications of just those three factors as potentials in her life and relationships.

That testy Mars has crossed and recrossed the natal Descendant (7th cusp of Partnerships) and her natal planets clustered there–Uranus 3Vir27 in 6th H, Mercury 10:15 sitting atop the Angle, and Pluto 11Vir01, conjunct a difficult star of victimization, describes a recent and difficult period for Whitney Houston and brought on by a partner or partners.

Yet her Midheaven (Career) has been going fairly well while the Domestic Scene may not have been so fabulous of late. Other transits and progression support a difficult period for the lady yet as in life, Astrology shows the good and the bad in effect simultaneously. Ex: Career good, Home not so good.

Also, certain planets being Angular (ASC/DESC and/or MC/IC) in certain charts tell a tale of important times, big changes, and possibly death, if other factors concur. Ex: Mars and Saturn in her Jupiter Return 2011 horoscope oppose one another while conjoining their respective ‘corners’–MC (Saturn 12Lib43 Rx–sign of Partnerships) and IC (Mars, conjunct Mercury Rx, as previously noted.)

This post’s title was lifted from a quote by one who shares natally the Sun Aries-Moon Scorpio blend found in her Jupiter Return 2011 horoscope, author Thornton Wilder who famously and applicably informed us of his opinion that,

“The best part of married life is the fights. The rest is merely so-so.”

Now if you’ve read any of my astro-babbles before you know I use midpoint pictures so I’ll give you one from Ms. Houston’s Jupiter Return 2011 chart which resonates all too well with its Moon (a woman; physical body; health) opposing natal Moon across the 2/8 Death and Transformation axis, and blending with the energies of liquidy, undermining Neptune as the powerful planet of coping ability and transformation, Pluto, intensifies and harshens their combined energies at midpoint.

Let’s close this sad post with their picture as given by Reinhold Ebertin…

Moon/Neptune = Pluto: emotional shock or upheaval; high sensitivity and being easily influenced by others.

Michael Munkasey adds:

‘Increased needs for revenge against those who injure or hurt you in any way; ferment and seething added to emotions which you create within your dreams for escape from reality.’

Escaped.

Whitney Houton R. I. P.

Your conflicts have ended and your amazing voice will be missed.

FBI ‘warm’ on Anonymous hackers’ trail

For over one year, the FBI has been hound-dogging Anonymous, the loosely organized band of hackers who shut down official sites and…well…make FBI cyber-sleuths look quite ineffectual.

So far.

UPDATE Feb 10, 2012: now it’s the CIA and they don’t seem to be prepared for such an attack. Guess they’re more accustomed to doing the attacking.

Charles Dickens: natal Sun AQ/Moon Sag

With today being the 200th anniversary of the birth of one of my favorite authors, Charles Dickens, I wish my tech equipment failure was already resolved so that I could show you his natal and death horoscopes. *It is not.

However, you may view Mr. Dickens’ chart and natal planetary positions at astrodatabank where his data has a Rodden Rating of A since Dickens apparently gave an astrologer his birth details.

Charles Dickens February 7, 1812 7:50 pm LMT Portsmouth, England; died of a massive stroke suffered during dinner the evening prior to June 9, 1870 6:10 pm UT (Rodden) at his home at Gad’s Hill, UK.

Transiting Chiron (the wound) @ 7Ari18 conjoined natal Mars 7:33 (energy, action, initiative) near 8th cusp of Death 11Ari25, tr Uranus and NN in Cancer were in opposition to his natal Mercury 22Cap10 (SN conj Mercury, Uranus opposing Mercury = mental or brain disturbances), and tr Sun 19Gem38 and Mercury 11:15 snugged around his natal MC, a chart Angle, with tr Jupiter 7Gem18 approaching MC. Jupiter didn’t actually conjoin MC to the degree (15Gem27) until mid-July 1870 which may describe the broadcasting (Jupiter) of the news of his passing, and a re-appreciation of his achievements and worldwide fame.

One of the prevalent factors in Death Charts is an Angular Moon and/or Jupiter though other planetary factors and actors are at play as well such as inflammtory Mars and restrictive, calcium-ruling planet of bones, teeth, and deposits, Saturn.

Of course, Pluto may play a destructive role in such critical matters of life and death, and here Pluto had squared (blocked) Dickens’ natal Sun 17AQ58–today conjoined by today’s Leo Full Moon of Publicity!–a few days before on May 31, 1870, then a second time on November 9, 1870, months after his demise.

Pluto SQ Sun periods are difficult and indicate blockages (Sun = the heart, spine), and ego pursuits so 9 days prior to his stroke, explosive Pluto had caused problems which may have led to heightened blood pressure, toxic conditions, or other health problems.

For Mr. Dickens we must credit Jupiter Angular and Pluto SQ natal Sun (‘stroke’), his vitality impaired, and his hyper-sensitive Moon/Neptune conjunction (‘paralysed blood circulation; over-accumulation of water in tissues; osmotic function deficiency’–Ebertin) at IC (End of Life) in Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius denoting his potential for physical debilitation and weakening through the over-consumption of addictive substances such as alcohol and/or other drugs, and overly rich food.

Plus, Uranus disrupting natal Mercury added Uranian suddenness to the attack (stroke.)

And in the Death Chart itself, another planet of ‘attack’, Mars 28Tau54, is Angular (setting); his Solar Arc Jupiter 24Leo43 conjoins natal 12th cusp so a liver condition may have been part of the picture with natal IC ruled by Jupiter.

Okay, here are the “Images for Integration” for Charles Dickens’ natal Sun AQ/Moon Sag, and for his death combination of luminaries (Sun Gem/Moon Lib) as well, just for a sort of book-end comparison of his life and career.

Natal Sun AQ/Moon Sag (Air-Fire = a ‘live wire’ full of exciting ideas and plans) gave the socially concerned author a philosophical mind, a broadened view, an independent streak, and verbosity. A wide ‘conjunction’ of Mercury and Saturn 4Cap22 is the signature of the professional writer (Tyl.)

“Images for Integration: Alice in Wonderland…Indiana Jones founds a university in the heart of the jungle…A distinguished sociology professor throws a fancy dress party for her best friends.”

On June 9, 1870: Sun Gem/Moon Lib (Air-Air = never at a loss for words; civilized, elegant) gave Dickens’ day of death the aura of a ‘wandering spirit’ which comes in handy for that last journey!

“Image for Integration: Elgar’s Enigma Variations: ‘to my friends depicted within.”

Sounds rather like Mr. Dickens’ use of friends, family, and acquaintances as characters in his novels full of villainy and redemption!
