The following post is a two-fer because I’m wondering if the Sun’s massive eruptions now are reflected in the violent riots going on this week in Egypt:

Space Weather News for Jan. 28, 2011

DOUBLE BLAST: This morning, a spectacular double eruption on the sun produced the strongest solar flare of the year so far (an M1-class event). Plasma clouds produced by the event are expected to miss Earth, so no geomagnetic storms are in the offing.

Today’s edition of SpaceWeather News highlights movies captured by SOHO and the Solar Dynamics Observatory.

STRANGE LIGHT PILLARS: A photographer has recorded extraordinary pillars of light shooting into the night sky from a corn mill in Nebraska. The tall luminous columns were capped with nested V-shaped tops that distinguish them from ordinary urban light pillars.

Now published: today’s Stars Over Washington post concerning the riots and protests in Egypt this week and displaying both natal horoscopes – the Kingdom of Egypt (1922) and the Republic of Egypt (1953) – along with the country’s Secondary Progressions for January 26, 2011 which show a planetary pattern called a YOD (‘Finger of God’) indicating crisis and a turning point.

The energy of the YOD – as timed for Jan 2011 – is aimed directly toward the Progressed Moon (the fed-up people of Egypt) in Capricorn, sign of government, law, and business.

After publishing the horoscope with details of Wednesday January 19, 2011′s Full Moon 29Can27 on Stars Over Washington, I thought you might be interested in having a peek.

As you know, a 29th degree is considered to be a crisis or critical degree and certainly no one discounts the many problems existing between America and China such as trade imbalance and yuan-dollar currency rifts.

This Wednesday’s Full Moon is important as well for it occurs after January 4, 2011′s Solar Eclipse @ 13Cap38 which opposes US natal Sun (the leader in a mundane chart) and represents the culmination/fulfillment stage of the prior Eclipse (New Moon.)

Wow! This photo of the January 4, 2011 Solar Eclipse which was taken from space is a must-see if you haven’t!

Guess the amazing ‘ring of fire’ photo of January 4th is of particular interest to this reluctant astrologer because this Solar Eclipse @13Cap38 in the Zodiac occurred precisely upon my natal 4th house Sun position. And the 4th is the house of endings and partings.

Astrologically, January 4, 2011′s Solar Eclipse falls into the 13 North Series which, to paraphrase Brady’s Predictive Astrology, indicates a flavor of:

‘groups and associations; group projects require the breaking of an already existing bond; separation, then joint achievement’ (paraphrasing.)

Also, 13N is associated with the founding of America for the Series’ initial manifestation occurred on August 14, 1776 @21Leo52, with the final signings of the Declaration of Independence occurring on August 2, 1776. (Big events often occur up to two weeks before or after an eclipse’s actual date.)

And on August 14, 1776, there was an interesting midpoint picture in force:

Mars/NN = Pluto: the performance of record joint achievements; a violent or forced separation from a partnership or union. (Ebertin.)

Now that sounds about right, doesn’t it?

Yet I didn’t have the influence of 13N in mind last week when I deleted my FaceBook account. I was thinking of how Goldman-Sachs and Russia are investing in the site and how FB won’t disclose its own financial information, yet it can’t seem to spread its members’ personal details widely enough.

And FB assures me that I can return any time I like by using the same password! Makes me wonder how deleted my personal info actually is, y’know? (Under reason for leaving, I put “Goldman-Sachs and Russia.”)

Update 1.15.11: well, when I posted it, I didn’t feel up to discounting the above story even though I knew that astrologers have known of the constellation Ophiuchus all along. But NYC’s ‘astrologist’ Lawrence Grecco gives a good explanation of why the current Ophiuchus excitement is unwarranted because the Zodiac used in Astrology is based on Time, not Space!

This shows the reason for tonight’s gathering of the GOP as invited by House Speaker John Boehner with 00/1Taurus being a degree of violence (aka, ‘Hitler’s trigger point’, his natal Sun position.)

So it seems to me that discussion of the Tucson tragedy fall-out and how to manage it (with 2012 firmly in their sights) is on the GOP agenda this evening along with other issues, or I miss my guess. The Moon 28Ari11 is at Midheaven as well which puts the public mood and publicity firmly in the WHY? category – and the Mars-ruled Aries Moon = a woman, Sarah Palin!

As tens of millions are finding it impossible to pay their bills, the corporations and banks are raking in record profits, top executives are pocketing huge payouts and the richest 2 percent of the population is celebrating the tax cut handed to them by Obama and the congressional Republicans.

Yes, the swamp of Washington DC, my former abode, has always had a pungent odor but the above linked article indicates a headier brew wafting from our nation’s capital than ever before.

Perhaps we should follow the one-world-government script and ALL file for bankruptcy whether one’s financial condition warrants it or not – as indicated by the Sabian Symbol of the Moon (the people; the public; we-the-people) on the morning of 9/11/01…’28Gemini” = “A Man Declared Bankrupt” = DELIVERANCE.

Positive expression: an effective and overall resourcefulness in even the worst of conditions;

Negative/unconscious/shadow side: a willingness to dodge every responsibility and betray the very core of self. (The Sabian Symbols in Astrology, Marc Edmund Jones.)

Seems to this American that the dodging of responsibility and deep betrayal occurred at the top levels of the US government on its way to do Wall Street’s every bidding.

And President Obama’s corporate appointments to his White House staff this week only makes it even clearer as destructuring, transforming Pluto continues his raid through government-business-law-ruling Capricorn, sign of America’s natal Pluto placement.

A couple of years ago I asked a scientist friend if she thought that Earth’s poles are shifting. She said, No.

Turns out, they are. They’re shifting 40 miles per year toward Russia, of all places.

If genetically modified foods are on your diet’s no-no list for 2011, good luck, because Monsanto has been guinea pigging us with it for years. And you thought your Aunt Myrtle inherited all those health conditions! Well, maybe she did, but GM time bombs can trigger them.

Now it turns out that Dr. Monsanto Frankenstein has been busy promoting fake sugar for ‘losing weight’ with GM trojan horses attached: genetically modified bacteria was used to create aspartame, that pretend-sweet tool of the devil!

Not sure about you but for me this again brings the words ‘population control’ to mind. And “Saint Mountain” (Monsanto) could be a reference to Illuminati symbolism! A crazy idea? Don’t be too certain before you check out Millions Against Monsanto where you’ll find that even sugar made from sugar beets is genetically modified.

Perhaps we should all put down our cups of tea and coffee and back away slowly…
