'Aubergine' from the Cosmic Lilith Art Calendar 2011

As you know, the feminine archetype of Lilith is found in Astrology, Mythology, and has one mention in the Bible as well. She is usually portrayed as an enraged woman with vengeance on her mind, in a word, a shrew, or even a devil.

Well, actually that view may also be used to describe astrological Venus, can’t it? It’s the ‘hell hath no fury like a woman scorned’ model of femininity which can be a b*tch for those fellows who fall afoul with their bad behavior against lovely lady Venus, planet of relationships and love in Astrology.

Yet my favorite model for Lilith has to be her ‘glamorous woman’ archetype with its hint of mystery and the best example I have created of this lovely, unfussy, pleasant Lilith is a new Cosmic Lilith Art Calendar 2011 with its pencil portraits of fanciful figure studies (‘pin-up girls’!), one for each month of 2011, as perpetrated for you by this artist and astrologer.

Today the G20 Summit in Toronto is well underway after this morning’s Lunar Eclipse 4Cap46 conjunct powerful, secretive, wealthy Pluto Rx in controlling, managing, restrictive Capricorn, the sign ruled by Saturn, planet of government, law, and business.

The horoscope for the June 26, 2010 Lunar Eclipse is almost identical when set for Toronto as when set for Washington, DC with both locations using EDT.

Yet there formed a YOD in Toronto which was not apparent in DC, plus, evaluating Venus turned up in 1st house in Toronto, 2nd house in DC. Money matters are obviously big on the agenda this weekend though we don’t need Astrology to tell us that!

And with the Sun in a mundane chart signifying ‘the leader’, we may expect that President Obama’s attendance at the Summit will be described in part by the one-day transit of Sun to US natal Jupiter 5Can56 (’6Can’ = “Game Birds Feathering Their Nests”; astrological Jupiter on various levels is the planet of big money, ideals, philosophy, optimism, travel, knowledge, expansion, and generosity.

Sun to Jupiter indicates an increase in said optimism along with an enhanced spiritual awareness; cultural events are successful and enjoyable, especially if you’re the President of the United States who is in progress of ramming through major financial reform legislation at home and can travel to another country and crow over it at a G20 Summit!

Dramatic hopefulness is the tone of the day with Sun to natal Jupiter, and courage and confidence are increased, but with one caution against becoming too impressed with oneself since Sun also represents ego and Jupiter tends to over-inflate.

Jupiter also has connections to judicial systems with intellectual horizons broadened on such issues as law and the areas mentioned above.

So even when circumstances turn troubling, a Sun to Jupiter transit has a way of providing something positive to counteract problems and lessen their negative effects.

Well, Happy Jupiterian Summit, Mr. President!

And I hope your financial reform bill does the good you say it will do, protects consumers for a change, and doesn’t make things worse with its costs to the financial industry passed on to US consumers.

No, I am not logged in to WordPress to discuss the yays and nays of global warming but I do have to say that today’s warm weather in the Atlanta, GA area is an improvement over the last week or so – we’ve had a heat index of over 100 degrees F for days – arghh!

This means that asphalt parking lots turn into virtual tar pits that wilt my face off (and I mean that almost literally!)

So as an offering to the asphalt gods, I want to share with you this flower photo taken by my daughter Maya.

It’s a little beauty she discovered blooming and posing prettily in the steam of a restaurant parking lot in the Atlanta area – and the plant seems to be soaking up our excessive heat with nary a wilt much better than I (a native of Georgia) ever could!

Looks like an impatiens to me – you?

Still, in 2010 it can be said that Neanderthal traits are on display the world over. But the kitchen sink is working just fine.

When it comes to financial reform in America, derivatives will be in no danger of regulation or oversight if the New Democrat Coalition members in Congress join Republicans to block or vote against legislation on behalf of their Sugar Daddies on Wall Street.

Wonder who gets to fluff their silky pillows on the bedside by the panoramic Pent House window? It’s prime real estate because I think that’s the spot where the remote control nestles, too…and it’s powerful enough to reach from NYC to DC.

This alert is a day late but a Hubble photo ahead. Makes astrological sense that Jupiter is in the news with the jolly giant’s recent foray to Aries Point, A World Point of Prominence!

Space Weather News for June 16, 2010

HUBBLE SEEKS DEBRIS, FINDS NONE: Even the Hubble Space Telescope cannot find any debris where a meteoroid apparently hit Jupiter on June 3rd. Today, researchers released new HST images of the impact site, which show nothing but uninterrupted clouds. The non-detection is consistent with a relatively small asteroid or comet fragment making a shallow strike in Jupiter’s high atmosphere.

NOCTILUCENT CLOUDS: Observers in Europe are reporting brightening displays of noctilucent clouds (NLCs). That’s to be expected. Late spring and early summer often bring the strongest displays of these electric-blue clouds wafting across the top of Earth’s atmosphere.

As if pedophile-priest lawsuits causing loss of faith in Vatican purity and infallibility aren’t enough to sour anyone on accepting anymore papacy pap, now the Catholic Church in Germany is mired in a few financial scandals all its own.

Confession: some of the kindest people I’ve ever known throughout my life have been those of the Catholic persuasion, people who really put their actions on the line as expressions of a deeply held faith and compassion for their fellow man.

And of course, the larger an organization, the more rats may lurk near, in this case, the cookie jar – the one with Other People’s money in it.

Of course, molesting children is a form of thievery, too – of innocence, for one thing. Seems the CC has a big fat, ongoing blindspot – the bad habit of thieving. Some might call it Boundary Issues if they were feeling psychological about it…’what’s yours is actually mine if I desire it’.

Now many moons ago, when I learned in school of what went on during the Spanish Inquisition as perpetrated by the Catholic Church, I also learned some of what the Vatican is capable of doing in the world when it puts its goat head to the grindstone.

So can anyone actually believe that the Catholic Church has mended its ways in 2010? Please enlighten!

With their lovely coastlines safe from BP oil harm, our Brit cousins are angry at the toll the BP Oil disaster is taking on their pocketbooks and pensions as they pay the price for investing in BP – and they’re blaming President Obama.

May I assume that BP shareholders and other investors had no say in how wild an enterprise BP could engage in? It probably would have made no difference if they’d objected.

However, you take your chance, you just might lose! Even if you’re accustomed to winning, losing just may happen when you’re gambling with money.

For one thing, 9/11′s Moon was at ’28Gemini’ = “Bankruptcy” in the Sabian Symbols, and Moon = ‘The People’ in a mundane astrology chart.

That Deutsche Bank maintained offices in the World Trade Center may be coincidental…or maybe not.

Now it’s becoming clear that although DB has always retained its distance from the 2007/08/09/10/+ mortgage crisis/foreclosure fiasco here in the US, the big bank’s mitts are actually all over it.
