Taking some time off from Politics over the weekend I missed this nugget concerning President Obama’s off-the-cuff remark to Angela Merkel.
Mr. Obama’s comment to the lady was caught on camera that “you’ve already won” so is ‘the fix’ in for Angela Merkel of Germany?
Might this knowing political wink be somehow similar to the assurances from George and Jeb Bush on the airplane as permanently enshrined in Michael Moore’s film, Fahrenheit 911, when, speaking of the outcome of the 2000 election, they smugly asserted, “It’s in the bag”?
But in case Merkel doesn’t continue in office in spite of Mr. Obama’s slam-dunk assurance: I promise to apologize later.
