Jude’s Threshold

Everyone has one – an un-birthday, when the Sun opposes its position in ones natal chart, and it’s easy to figure out the approximate date of it.

Count 6 months from your birthday…if your day of birth is, say, August 4 (as is Pres. Obama’s) then your un-birthday is during the first week of February. Astrology software gives the exact date which may extend for a day or so on either side of the birth date (which is the case here for BHO…August 4 in Hawaii 1961 to Feb 1 in Washington, DC 2009.)

To understand the significance of an un-birthday we look first at the astrological meaning of the Sun in our natal charts. Issues of ego recognition and how we ‘shine’ along with the ‘hero’s journey’ through life are described by the Sun’s sign, aspects, and house position, plus the house (department of life) with Leo on the cusp…aka “the condition of the Sun.”

All this is especially true for those with Sun in willful, proud Leo, the sign ruled by the ego-infused Sun! And Aquarius is, of course, the sign of humanitarianism – yet egalitarianism, too. We might say: personal needs vs collective needs with the Leo-AQ axis of The Will.

The astrological Sun is our essence, our adult personality, and many astrologers say that our natal Moon represents childhood and the past while the Sun is our way forward, our destination or objective…Sun = consciousness, Moon = unconsciousness, and so forth. Life goals are wrapped up within the natal Sun, the very purpose for being.

And oppositions (180 degr) and *squares (90 degr) represent blockages or obstacles yet they also act as ‘stimulants’ toward action.

When the Sun’s position is opposite its birth placement we can add in the astrological concept of oppositions as Relationships – something or someone ‘out there’ is opposing the planet in question – in this case, the Sun, and specifically the natal Sun of Mr. Obama.

You’d have to be under a large boulder this week not to have heard of  the president’s economic stimulus package clearing the House with no Republican votes to its credit, in spite of much schmoozing by Obama and his team. Fancy cocktails and cajoling didn’t garner support of some who – as expressed by Rush Limbaugh – want the president to “fail.”

Thanks to Dittobrain for the well-wishes which go toward we-the-people simultaneously, fool. (To much applause, Craig Ferguson said last evening on The Late Late Show that Rush is a “notorious junkie and he talks a lot of crap.” I’m quite sure it will be showing up on YouTube soon so look for it!)

Yet anyone who follows politics is accustomed to this circumstance which often is against the wishes and best interests of the American people for it’s par for the political course. Or at least, it’s how the game is framed within our (supposedly) two-party system.

Pres. Obama’s natal Sun 12AQ33 (based on his August 4, 1961, 7:24 pm AHST, Honolulu, Hawaii birth chart) will be opposed by the Sun astrologically speaking, around 2:00 am est, Sunday, Feb 1, 2009.

Now other chart factors may lead to smooth proceedings at un-birthday time, yet the day won’t be one which favors Mr. Obama’s ego. In fact, ego-related situations do not favor him to win accolades, and this is not a time to resist the authority or seniority of others.

And while exhibiting arrogant or aggressive attitudes might cause opponents to back down at any other time, an un-birthday is not that time. Perhaps being a Sunday, the president can take a day off from the contentiousness of Washington.

So is there anything positive about an un-birthday?

Sure! As with life, Astrology describes both positives and negatives for everything and humankind tends to find silver linings in the most dire circumstances or events.

So it is with an un-birthday which is the perfect time for reassessing ones goals and changing direction if these goals are in danger of being missed.

Wounds could be in want of licking, too! And progress should be measured now with an eye toward improvements if the goal is deemed worthy, so I hope Pres. Obama uses his un-birthday well on his way toward his stated goal – that of improving the lives of the American people.

The wonderful Kathryn Cassidy has written an excellent article concerning the ongoing opposition between traditional Saturn and progressive Uranus, exact on Feb 5 for the 2nd out of 5 times.

One point Kathryn touches on is how governments, businesses, and economies have started losing ‘power’ and she says that power outages will be on the increase (this week in the US, Kentuckians and others resemble that remark in vicious fashion, thanks to ice storms and there’s more bad weather possibly on the way next week.)

Patrick Wood, editor of  The August Review, has published a new article concerning the Obama administration and the grooming of Obama-the-candidate for the US presidency by Trilateral Commission co-founder Zbigniew Brzezinski.

Obama’s cabinet and the White House are rife with Trilateralists which you may think is a-ok, but that’ s only if the ‘new world economic order’ is your goal as well, and devil take the hindmost.

That the current world financial crisis is part of their agenda seems crystal clear to me as today we hear in the media (their shills, and many highly positioned media types are Trilateral members, too)  that the US economy shrank alarmingly in the 4th quarter of 2008…yet somehow they sound quite proud of this fact as they announce the bad news.

How could they be proud? Only if the economic meltdown – and all the things they’ve ‘tried’ like lower interests rates, billion-dollar “bailouts”, etc – are mere mystery plays, and are meant to fail so that the entire world will plead with the power elite to institute whatever system they please.

The coming Solar Eclipse of July 22, 2009 at the “Daughter of the American Revolution” degree (30 Cancer) fits neatly into this picture with its keyphrases: old systems will fail; new ideas and methods are needed in order to deal with events brought by this Eclipse; any blocks could be violently or tragically removed (paraphrased from Brady’s ‘Predictive Astrology’.)

Over 30 years ago my church clued me in about these things including separation of church and state (the blurring of which in America we’ve only seen a tad of…so far) but for several years I could relax. But given the political and financial landscapes in this New Millennium, I can relax no longer.

As NPR’s ‘MarketPlace’  just said on my radio: there’s worse to come.

So as Patrick Wood notes, the new world economic order is virtually upon us in spite of the ‘change’ we’ve been promised by a (supposedly) populist president. 

Now, it’d be cool if Obama is what he purported himself to be while campaigning, but that’s a shimmering fairy tale with every candidate in every election, isn’t it?

And this is definitely one of those cases where you just want to be wrong – boy, I Hope I am. With his Kenyan ‘Egg of Power’ in the Oval Office, Pres. Obama is talking a populist game while surrounding himself with one-world-government Trilateralists…tsk tsk.

Are we the gullible ones, or is he?

Well, I wonder if we’re ready to be under complete control of the chaos-creating Trilateral Commissioners? Guess we should get to know them better, if we haven’t already:

There’s that word again: ineptitude, which is and was used so often concerning the Bush years.

Once again I’m not as quick to label the current crop of criminals-in-charge as ‘inept’ when they may be following a one-world-government script which – for them - is working quite dandily!

You may not believe in conspiracies, that’s your choice. Perhaps ‘the secret hand’ sounds like a creepy B-grade movie to you.

But IF the financial/power elite are breaking down the world economy (and other social structures) in order to reconstruct the world the way they want it (with permanent control placed in certain claws) then they’re doing a bang-up job with the current financial crisis, don’t you think? ~

Yes, the 11 South Series is a doozy and last manifested on July 11, 1991, during the time when Bush Sr was shouting out for a New World Order. Now do you honestly think the world’s elite are ‘inept’?

The ‘Religious Right’ doesn’t like it but America was founded as a secular nation.

“In God We Trust” was added to US money several years down the line from the original intent of this nation’s founding. And the phrase’s inclusion must have seemed like a good idea at the time.

Happy Chinese New Year to all! 2009 is a year of the Ox – a year of obstinacy and stubbornness.

New Year or no, for some time I’ve wanted to splash up foreign policy expert Zbigniew Brzezinski’s natal chart even though his birth time is unknown.

Born March 28, 1928 in Warsaw, Poland, Mr. Brzezinski is now acting as one of President Barack Obama’s foreign policy advisers, so a look back at a YouTube video of the interview he did with PBS’ Charlie Rose on August 24, 2007 seemed a good idea.

August 24, 2007 was the day Bush issued his National Security Strategy report…his “we are a nation at war” fearmongering declaration which ZB took exception to. And so have I. And that occurrence inspired Charlie Rose to interview him.

The 1S Series is given by Bernadette Brady in ‘Predictive Astrology’ as: being flooded with options and ideas and their enthusiastic expression; there is an element of haste involved yet the new ideas received should have positive outcomes. (Positive for humanity? Hmph.)

This Series last manifested on Feb 5, 2000 at 16AQ01, a very sensitized area of the zodiac; 1S will next occur on Feb 15, 2018 at another sensitive degree  ’27AQ’ which conjuncts US natal Moon (the people.)

Well, do check out the video plus Brzezinski’s natal chart, if you will, and you’ll notice a bucket pattern with Saturn as the handle - which may make his Saturn in Sagittarius the impetus, focus, and motivation of his entire psyche!

Monday is the Moon’s day and since the Aquarian Solar Eclipse is fresh (occurring here at 2:55 am est), I thought a shout-out to Luna on her day was a good way to begin the week.

So now, for all of us who were born with Sun in Capricorn-Moon in Pisces:

Sun Cap-Moon Pisces (Earth-Water): scientist and poet; a pragmatic dreamer; an imaginative organizer; tough and tender; dependable but private; both practical and dreamy.

Self-reflection makes this combo serious and solemn at times but allows deep insight into others’ plights. A natural humanitarian with a penchant for mystery, this blend makes for one who isn’t always sure if she’s the cat’s meow or something the cat dragged in.

The ‘sandcastle/reinforced concrete’ reminds me of his help in founding America, ya know? Ideal-idea of freedom into manifestation  and all that, with Uranus, planet of revolution and rebellion,  discovered in 1781 – between the American Revolution and the French Revolution.

So it was Uranus’ creative spark (Plato’s Ideal) poured into Saturnian form, circa 1776, and voila! a New Atlantis: America.

Eclipse degree: 6AQ30 conjunct US natal South Node. As you know,  Eclipses are ‘wild cards’ and may affect events in unexpected ways – or not at all – (if you’re peeking at your own chart to see where 6AQ30 falls – if 6AQ30 aspects no planets or points in your chart, consider the house polarity, the house containing 6AQ30 and its opposite house for clues to what areas of life – houses – the Eclipse may affect for you or yours.)

Conjunct US natal SN indicates issues from the past affecting today, and it may also refer to well-honed or inherited talents which may be used yet which may or may not be effective for the current situation.
