A nuke-enabled President McCain?
There are indications in the natal chart of John McCain of a hot-headed nature with the primal rage of his Moon-Pluto opposition which falls on the US natal Pluto, planet of nuclear power.
That must be why this article popped out from today’s ICH Newsletter:
‘Meet the Senator Most Likely to Start a Nuclear War: The Real McCain’

McCain the Maverick is a merely a fine-honed act, underscored by these kinds
of casual hypocrisies.

McCain wasn’t called a ‘maverick’ until late 1999-early 2000, you know, but his temper tantrums are legendary. When it comes to a Finger on the Button, I’d rather have someone who considers their actions first including unintended consequences than a ‘maverick’ hothead who can’t leave war behind.
And if you read my earlier post on McCain’s natal Jupiter in Sagittarius, the above-mention of ‘hypocrisy’ will be no surprise at all – if it ever was for this politician who seems to have traded past principles for the chance of occupying and shilling from the White House.
Wandering Educators and September’s Artist of the Month
Well, that would be yours truly!
Happily I am honored to be chosen as Wandering Educator’s September Artist of the Month.
You may check out the interview where I discuss my artistic influences, background, and creative process here:

Perhaps you don’t think I HAVE a creative process, but I beg to differ! You’ll find that a varied sampling of drawings is featured within the interview so mosey over to Wandering Educators when you get a mo, okay?
Romney agrees on change issue
Wednesday night in his address to the RNC, Mitt Romney said, “We need change all right – change from a liberal Washington to a conservative Washington!”
Now he couldn’t be referring to evacuating the residents of DC, so if he means politically, is he not aware that ‘conservative’ Republicans have been in control these long long eight years?
TIME has an article by Nancy Gibbs on ‘Sarah Palin’s Breakout Night’:

A magazine called, TIME…the very name is so Saturnian, isn’t it?
Hermetics and Freemasonry
Being almost as unversed in Freemasonic principles as I can possibly be, one of the best resources I’ve found for Masonic information is Greg Stewart’s blog, Masonic Traveler.
Tonight as Sara Palin speaks behind me on my TV, I got to wondering what Greg was up to on his blog these days and found an interesting post there on Freemasonry being based on Hermetic teachings, and citing The Seven Principles as found in The Kybalion (published 1908, Paul Foster Case.)
Most astrologers know of Hermes Trismegistus, ancient scribe of the gods of ancient Egypt.
Hermes, as we familiarly call him these days, is thought to have been a contemporary of Abraham, and is now often used in Astrology charts to signify a trickster element, or as something of a magician. (Tris-’megitus’ – magistus – magi – magician.) And in mundane charts I often use it to signify those with occult interests, for obvious reasons.
As Greg mentions, all western esoteric teachings are believed to have come from Hermes’ writings and teachings, so Hermes is impossible to discount if one is a novice of Astrology, modern or ancient.
So if you’d like a Freemason’s view of these teachings and principles, check out Greg’s writing on the subject which he will be expanding upon as he may.

And if you’re not an Astrology novice and have haplessly happened upon this post, remember that many of America’s Founders were of the Freesmasonry persuasion!
Optimistic about McCain economic proposals?
Traditionally the American attitude leans toward optimism, not pessimism. Campaign 2008? it really really IS about the economy, stupid. For the most part.
And since I know that ‘idealism increases in direct proportion to one’s distance from the problem’, and noticing that none of the Economic Houses of John McCain are in my neighborhood, I thought you might wish to check out this article:
http://www.stateofnature.org/bushMccain.html
McCain is in his winter years, he’s out of touch, he’s been rich a long time, and he admits to knowing little about economic issues…all of which make him unaffordable for the American people along with the Republican Party’s drunken sailor ways under which we’re already suffering. Four MORE?
Now partisans, before you fuss - no Democratic hat is worn here either. This blogger prefers wearing an American Hat at all times – and not just during a political Convention when it sounds good as a slogan.
“Country First” indeed.
