Petraeus in the jungle clearing

Today as General David Petraeus testifies to Congress and is ostensibly ‘grilled’ by McCain and Clinton on the Senate Armed Services Committee, then he moves on to afternon tea with Barack Obama sitting on the Senate Foreign Services Committee, the Moon remains in stubborn Taurus throughout the day and Sun is at its Exaltation degree 19Aries.

Blogging time is brief this morning so I’ve taken a quick peek at the ambitious yet charming Sun Ari/Moon Taurus combo to see if the combo’s Images apply to today’s situation on Capitol Hill. See what you think:

“An explorer practices the violin in a jungle clearing…Having won an arduous race, the champion sits down to a gourmet meal.” (‘Sun Sign-Moon Sign,’ Chas & Suzi Harvey.)

Violins in the jungle screeching out a melody for posturing politicians (and the public) with gourmet meal to follow…gourmet for the politicians, that is. We-the-People are free to order from the drive-in window.

Still, by the end of the day, it will be interesting to see how Petraeus’ latest performances will fit into GOP strategy for November elections. Yet so much has gone wrong in America Under Their Watch, that it may require more magic than they have up their sorcerors’ sleeves. But I can’t count out those who will Do Anything to rig an election.

Cheating isn’t winning. It’s stealing.

And a basic tenet of Astrology and of Life is that how a thing begins is how it will end. Bush’s regime began in controversy and slight-of-hand and will end no better…and look at all the misery and waste in between.
