Since I sassily nosed into the Clinton’s Wedding Day planetary weather, it’s only fair to look at Barack and Michelle Obama’s Wedding Day, Oct 18, 1992, Chicago, Rev Jeremiah Wright presiding.

From the year–1992–you know immediately that their marriage began just prior to the Great Conjunction of Uranus and Neptune in Capricorn in 1993 (171-year-cycle):

Feb 2 (19Cap34); Aug 20 (18Cap48); and Oct 24 (18Cap33.) The last date is the one I use for the natal chart of the New World Order for the degree of Ura/Nep “18Cap” is key to understanding the beast (POLITICAL POWER.)

The pair met in 1989 at the law firm where she was employed when she was made advisor to Barack, a Harvard ‘summer associate’  who was apparently taken more with Michelle than with corporate law.

So what was going on overhead on the day of their nuptials? As above, so below!

Oct 18, 1992: Sun in Libra, Moon in Cancer, square (similar to Billary’s–Sun Lib–Moon Cap) so generaly speaking,  the difference between their marriages is the Moon’s positions–one in ambitious, politically minded Cap, the other in business and family oriented Cancer.

Both ladies are attorneys at law, with Michelle Obama perhaps the winner in the nurturing sweepstakes.

Again using ‘Sun Sign-Moon Sign,’ Chas & Suzi Harvey, here are some details on the Sun Lib-Moon Cancer pairing which describes, in part, their relationship:

The Eclipse was triggered during their nuptials by asteroid Juno, ‘the wife.’ Perhaps the marriage itself was a solution in some way for them–not unusual, if so.

There’s much emotional energy in their Wedding Day chart with Moon (which remained in Cancer for the 24-hour period) dancing about with Mars 18Can04–opposite Uranus and Neptune.

Jupiter 1Lib40 trines Barack’s natal Jupiter, and is conj America’s natal Midheaven (Sibly: 5:10 pm lmt, July 4, 1776) which is a nice aspirational link, yet there are two midpoint pictures formed in the Sunrise chart (7:11:22 am cdt, Chicago, IL) which I shall mention:

Mercury/Venus = Pluto: a sense of mission; the successful “hard sell.”

Venus/Neptune = NN: relationships are unclear in their value system; an unhappy union; disappointment in relationships.

Well, since the path of love is often strewn with disappointments of one kind or another, and since their marriage seems to suit them both, it’s time for me to bow out of their luv business and hope this thumbnail sketch has given you some small insight into the marriage of Barack and Michelle Obama.

Since the Moon was in Capricorn all day and evening, we can take a peek at the Sun (male)–Moon (female) details from ‘Sun Sign-Moon Sign,’ by Charles & Suzi Harvey with some confidence.

 The Sun–Moon duo relates to relationships–esp the husband and wife, and marriage (Ebertin) so these details may be taken as a partial description of their longstanding union.

Sun Lib–Moon Cap may be seen as “the ambitious wife (Cap) and the philandering, shallow (Lib) husband. But that’s because hindsight is near perfect in the matter and their marriage issues have been canon fodder for gossip rags and political pundits for years. Wonder how would your relationship fare when displayed in such a fishbowl?

Some like to call the Clinton marriage ‘only a business arrangement’ but see what you think, and I’m quoting more of the Harveys than usual–only because they give Relationship info which we may find enlightening so I don’t want to leave out anything.

~;~Let’s begin with some general traits of this in-square duo, for Venusian Libra square Saturnian Capricorn indicates regular blockages which entail separation (Venus/Saturn) yet may also bring stability–or at least continuation–to the relationship (also Venus/Saturn.)

Libra is Airy, Capricorn is extremely Earthy and practical…perhaps there’s something to the idea that she drove him to succeed more than he would have without her, for Librans can be quite lazy, you know.

Still, the stable side of Venus/Saturn seems to have been in play and it has been up to Bill and Hill to decide whether to keep the marriage going under whatever terms they choose to honor. So far, so good.

Black-Out at 8! Here’s a bit I’ve written on the horoscope for 8:00 pm’s Earth Hour this evening:

depending on your time zone. Naturally it was New Zealand and Figi starting things off with Sydney, Australia hosting the official opening ceremonies, but here in Georgia USA, the second annual Earth Hour is about 5 hours hence (edt) with “12Libra” rising in Atlanta.

The Sabian Symbol for this Ascendant–the WHAT? point of the chart–is:

 ”Miners Emerging From a Deep Coal Mine.” Could the Symbol BE more appropriate, oh coal industry?

This Symbol speaks of stopping work (turning off all PCs here, unplugging what we can), and Dane Rudhyar, in his ‘An Astrological Mandala’ gives this picture’s keynote as:

“The need to carry on at ever deeper levels the quest for knowledge which keeps burning the fires of the collective mind of society.”

And since miners emerge from mines with blackened faces, a few candles strewn about will be necessary to counteract the darkness of…Earth Hour!

Well, it must be so ‘cos I read it in the AP’s headlines this morning–and the two articles are obviously redundant:

‘Bush Seeks Financial Regulation Overhaul’  and

‘Drunken Man Awakes Inside Garbage Truck’

so now that Bush is “on top of it” we’ll all be better off sooner than spit. Pee-yew.

First the elites DEregulate their corporations and banks in order to rook the populace over state lines–and pretend that ‘corporations are people too.’ Now they sheepishly admit to deserving regulation like the naughties that they are. But it’s only part of the socialization of their debts and hardly a kowtow to honesty.

Isn’t this financial mystery play the same one performed just prior to Hitler’s rise?

Giving the same defense of the Jeremiah Wright kerfluffle as before, Senator Barack Obama fit upon the sofa between the ladies quite well this morning. Handily, he admitted to being thin.

However, before Obama’s entrance onto the set, mention was made of Rev Wright’s comment in a eulogy, saying that “the Italians for the most part looked down their ‘garlic’ noses at the Galileans.”

Then, what do you think? Garlic’s healthful properties and Roman and Jewish noses were discussed and defended as well as may be expected and expressions of prejudice were in question.

Since I recorded this tv segment, I checked it again and nowhere did I hear the Senator give details on Wright’s use of the term “garlic noses” so did I misunderhear a misspeaking by Rev Wright?

Is it possible that the Pastor had intended to say “gallic noses” and wouldn’t that have made more sense to his point?  Who uses the term “garlic noses” without larfing?

Did Wright’s peepers’ prescription perhaps need updating? What universe is this?

With Iraq in eruption and crisis, and US airstrikes in progress, I have written an article on the Composite Davison chart (C/D) which averages two charts bwo time, date, and place and results in a third chart representing the blending of events/entities into a relationship chart.

A C/D chart is a good way to see how the present is affecting the past (or to see whatever time frame you wish to study blended with a chart of your choice) and some astrologers view them as having a karmic component. ‘Past affecting present’ definitely seems to apply to this ongoing struggle, so in this case, I’ve blended March 19, 2003 (at the White House where the order to invade was hatched) with March 28, 2008 in Baghdad:

And don’t fret if you’re not familiar with composite relationships charts–the midpoint pictures and the crisis-ridden YOD patterns formed are written out in English for anyone to read and recoil from.

As far as transits to the 2003 chart, the one that really stands out now esp since Mars is the ‘god of war’ is that Mars is opposite his position of March 2003, a time of constant attempts to cope with people whose purposes and actions are diametrically opposed to one’s own.

Physical efforts are of the “hitting one’s head against a brick wall” variety, and little or no ‘headway’ is made until this transit is out of orb. Many Mars folk–males between 25–36 years old, the military, police, etc–will wonder why this energy was expended in the first place and will feel it’s been wasted or misdirected (which it has. And with an opposition being a culmination or fulfillment point, will this attitude finally prevail over Dick Cheney’s “So?”)

~~And yes, transit Mars is still out-of-bounds–anti-socially lighting matches, setting fires, and hiding IEDs by roadsides, among other violent things~~

Shows of strength and aggression are met with equally determined force from others so that the focus should be on routine tasks quietly carried out–but somehow airstrikes don’t fall under this description, do they?

Sustaining controlled or stable physical efforts is difficult under a Mars–Mars opposition and so my prayers are with the people of Iraq and with the US soldiers who have been put unfairly and fraudulently into harm’s way–all for the sake of US imperialism and greed.

Well, I’m just a southern lady here speaking out about an AP story I just found concerning Senator Obama’s ex-pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who has cancelled speeches in Dallas, Houston, and Tampa due to security concerns for the locations, his family’s safety, and his own.

Now THIS is the shadow side of America that shames me yet unfortunately it doesn’t seem to shame the perpetrators. I commented during the political kerfluffle that Wright was expressing his own opinions and yet everyone knows that some church congregations all over this country have heard these sorts of views before. It’s no surprise that such views may be found given our nation’s history of racism and oppression of anyone not of the Caucasion persuasion.

I know that those in charge like to stay in charge, but really, people!

Must this threat be allowed to stand against a man of the cloth? Will black churches always be allowed to burn to the ground as young, drunken bigots party together and rile each other up just to show the world their lack of humanity and disrespect for religion?

Persona non grata–perhaps. But leave the man and his family alone, my fellow Americans.

And if you disagree so completely with Rev. Wright’s opinions and feelings, why not start a blog? Your violent, lynch-mob tendencies do America no honor, you know, but perhaps your brilliant writing skills will.

Who knows? A year or so from now you might even win the Drunken Bloggers Award for your articles full of scintillating racist views and incisive mysoginist wit that turn stomachs everywhere, for you are truly the cream of the crop in the Lowered Expectations Department of mankind.

And that goes double if you’re actually a student of the Karl Rove School of Operation Chaos, with Rush Limbaugh the Director of Counseling.

It’s the Pentagon admitting a ”mistaken” arms shipment–to Taiwan! Actually, Taiwan fessed up that it had received a “mistaken” shipment from the US because the Pentagon was supposedly unaware of the gaffe.

Is Eisenhower fluffing his pillow about now or what?

This tale has so many levels, so many veils–and the Pentagon never noticed, in spite of its required inventories every 3 months, that some electrical fuses for nose cone assemblies on intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) were missing from their weaponry shelves.

Yet Taiwan had to notify the Pentagon that it mysteriously had the fuses, shipped “mistakenly” in August 2006 after residing within a Hill Air Force Base (UT) Defense Logistics Agency warehouse–4 containers shipped there in March 2005 from Warren AFB in Wyoming. “Logistics”!!

Details are “unclear” and if you’re allergic to words like “mistake” or “error” don’t read the above-linked  article. The sensitivity of US sale of arms to Taiwan due to China’s firm objections is palpable in this apparent screw-up and seems to be the reason for Defense Secretary Robert Gates setting up an investigation of the matter to calm nuclear waters.

No actual nuclear material is said to be involved in this case, yet this is revelation #2,  you know–it’s the second nuclear-related “mistake”after the August 2007 fiasco when an AF B-52 bomber was “mistakenly” armed with 6 (count ‘em, SIX) nuclear-tipped cruise missiles and flown across America from Minot AFB in ND to Barksdale AFB in LA.

I’ve never heard who ordered that minor Minot “mistake” (let’s ask Rumsfeld) but I have read where pilots and others involved have been eradicated…or as I would call it, assassinated. If you, lone reader (how lonely you must be) have any new info concerning these men’s deaths, please let me know.

So the image you see here is the sunrise chart for Aug 30, 2007, set for the Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota. Not knowing the time the nuclear warheads were loaded, or when the planes took off, the sunrise chart will do fine as a symbol for the day.

You see the Sun rising with tr South Node, a picture of limited leadership and power potential. This conj describes a karmic condition from the past (SN) when ambitions were selfishly promoted at the expense of others. And when you’re top dog (the US) you can easily do this even if you’re unaware of it…the results are the same for the world’s underdogs.

In green, you see I’ve marked today’s planetary placements with Saturn between 2007′s Sun and his own position 29Leo37. The late degrees of Leo are, of course, conj Fixed Royal Star of Persia, Regulus, whose keywords are: success if revenge is avoided.

Revenge is the world’s main problem for it brings an endless cycle of violence and what are nuclear weapons if not part of that abomination?

In 10th house there’s violent Mars, in duplicitous Gemini (apologies, Geminis, you are multiplicitously talented as well!), and I penciled in the Sabian Symbol for Mars…”15Gem”: “Two Dutch children talking.” And Mars (weapons) in the sign of the twins could indicate that two shipments were being loaded.

Nearer Midheaven, the WHY? point of the chart, is the midpoint of Saturn and Uranus, the pair associated with the Middle East, Israel and Palestine especially. Saturn/Uranus 8Gem22 is conj asteroid, Mida$ 8Gem06 (and Direct–Midas is more often Rx) so was this charade an inconveniently discovered transfer of arms sold to ___ fill in the blank___probably Israel, but not necessarily.

After all, we do that all the time and Bush has been giving away the nuclear store to India and others…a busy bee arms dealer is he.

And how about the Ic–the HOW? Point of the day? Ah HAH! There we find asteroid Toro, associated with “the power of boundless strength; the capacity to use and control power; a strong will.” (‘Astrology Encyclopedia’ by James R. Lewis.)

Spain and Africa are linked to Toro, esp the Moors who probably brought bull fighting to Spain. The goal of bull fighting is domination, appropriate to our subject, and the Encyclopedia Britannica states that Toro is an ancient fortified town in Spain whose code of laws was much celebrated.

Plus, the Ic, the Foundation of the matter, and Toro are at “1Sag” = “A Grand Army of the Republic campfire” degree. Makes sense with the Pentagon’s culpability.

They say, btw, that whoever is responsible for the current “mistake” of shipping fuses to Taiwan will be “held accountable” which, from past Bush administration tendencies, makes you wonder who’ll take the fall for higher-ups…or perhaps it’s only an inelegant sop meant to soothe China’s feelings.

Today’s Sun in Aries is basically conj 2007′s Moon in Aries–and who knows? the correct time of the flight, or at least of the loading of the dark material (which strains credulity to understand how it’s said that the pilots and crew were unaware of their cargo) may be better timed by using a Moon position based on the Sun’s position of today’s press conference!
